The box says "Wireless Mouse X4000." Sold online as "Bluetooth" but the package says "exclusive HP Link 5 technology...Connect to HP compatible devices..." Does HP understand what "exclusive" means? What about "HP compatible"? In short, it will NOT connect to any of your Bluetooth compatible devices. It will only connect to its own mouse and four other HP "Link 5" devices, should you have them. You know that Bluetooth compatible tablet that you have? They won't talk to each other. How about that non-HP Bluetooth compatible printer? No connectivity. Maybe a Bluetooth earphone so you don't have to bother with a cord? Nope. In short, this thing is worthless for anything except a mouse driver. And, the mouse is large.

My main problem with this mouse was the poor connection. I kept having to reset the mouse about every 10 minutes because it kept losing the connection. I returned for a much simpler USB wireless mouse.

bad product, connection drop often, fails to work often and spoils quick

Works OK for about a week then I have to uninstall it and reinstall it. It also has an annoying squeak in the scrolling wheel telling me it is very cheaply made.

A Wi-Fi mouse sounded good in theory for my laptop because it frees up a USB port. The problem is I can be in a middle of a project and the mouse is no longer connected to the computer.

Mouse worked fine, but for a $37 mouse, it should have the back and forward side buttons. That's pretty much a must-have in a mouse according to my book.

Garbage. When it works it’s fine, but it routinely disconnects and my business comes to a halt. Completely unreliable.

Two AA batteries make this mouse a better candidate for an anchor. Heavy and ergonomically inferior to newer devices. Pairing is easy enough, but you'll need an archiologist in order to figure out how to actually get to batteries. Seems the user manual left that small item out.. Clicked loudly. Seems I cannot find a silent Bluetooth mouse. My years old Logitech beats all I have tried on the noise front. I mean how are yiu supposed to snwork (sneak work) During the endless stream of meetings with all that clicking!

laser mouse would not stay connected to laptop. Kept having to reset it multiple times within one hour time.

Keeps on shutting off an I have to turn on n off. Battery does not last long. Would return if I could but to late

The mouse does not work losing connection, and I threw the box away and could not return. Very disappointed.

I love almost everything HP, but I found this mouse to be a bit too sensitive when scrolling. It seemed to have a mind of its own sometimes.

I was told this would work with my ipad since it is bluetooth enabled but it didnt work! Disappointed

Mouse is comfortable to use but keeps losing its pairing to the pc. Hard to get it to reconnect. Very irritating.

I tried for an hour to connect this to my HP laptop but couldn't get it to work. I was able to connect it to my MacBook.

Not sure what the issue was. May have had something to di with the blue tooth on my computer and the connection.

Always lost connection between mouse and laptop. Very bad experience. Don't buy it.

This mouse is easy to use. It connects automatically with your computer very quickly once you turn it on, and it is a very fast reacting mouse that can be used on virtually any surface. I have had no problems using it so far.

Is the first mouse I try with Bluetooth technology. I choose it because it happened to me that I lost the usb receiver of two wireless mouse before so if you dont want to deal with that tiny usb receivers is good. The problem I found with this is that it works intermitent and after energy saving it takes a while it it responds again, I found that on my Bluetooth settings, I had enabled the "Allow disconnect device to save energy", this caused the lost connection (so is not randomly as some people says). Before finding this it was necessary to turned it off and add it again on the Devices List so I reached the point of throwing away to the garbage can. After that change on the settings it worked nice, so far.
