Best phone I have ever used

I played with most all of the top end smartphones before making my decision, and I am very happy with what I have. The screen on this phone is HUGE, but i can still do everything with just one hand. Fast response/loading when launching apps, even without adjusting settings. The 8mp camera takes great pics and with apps free from the Android market you can edit any pic in a variety of ways. I have watched movies with no problems seeing whats happening. Good speaker quality for listening to music, and 3.5mm headphone jack is a major benefit. 8gb micro SD is more than enough to hold what i need it to, and its capable of holding up to a 32gb micro SD card. This phone looks amazing too. I consider this the best phone to date, flat out.

Great 4G android phone from Sprint

Overall, the HTC EVO 4G is the best phone I've ever owned. I bought it as an upgrade to myt Blackberry Curve and never looked back. Having been a Blackberry user for quite a while, one of its strengths was its ability to sycn to Microsoft Outlook. HTC's HTC Sync software makes this an easy transition. Other things I like about the phone are: Large, bright screen Very responsive touch screen Super fast processor HTC Sense overlay makes for a more intuitive experience Build quality is excellent I haven't tried the 4G yet as I don't currently live in an area where 4G is available, but the 3G is quite fast. My only wish is that the battery life were better. I do get a full day with reasonable phone and data use, but the Blackberry had me spoiled in that area.

I absolutely love this phone! I traded in my Samsung Intercept 2 days after buying it to get the HTC EVO!!! It's really easy to use, it has a beautiful design, and it has all the features of other phones but better! The only issue with the phone is the battery life. The battery does run down faster than other phones, but it doesn't wear down as fast as other people say it does. Of course, the more you use the phone the more battery it will use. Just download the app killer and it helps out with the battery life. I would definitely recommend this phone to everyone!

    Best Android Phone For Sprint

I was a previous loyal Palm Pre user and though I was majorly disappointed by the hardware over time, lack of new phones with webOS on it and being let down with the future of webOS products, I decided the I would make the leap to the best Android phone Sprint had to offer at this time. So far, I like the features it has, the Android OS is slick and easy to use, the Android Market is full of free and useful apps and the size of the phone isn't a problem once you get use to it. Playing games, watching videos and viewing photos are great on it which makes it a very easy to like having it for. Call quality is good, camera works great and everything else in between has been flawless.

I have had this phone for a few weeks now. It's just awesome. Blows my old instinct out of the water and I'm kind of a samsung fan. Still not sure about not spending the extra 50 bucks for the slide out keyboard... but less weight and thinner profile is a plus. Would suggest keyboard for anyone with fat fingers like me. The voice to text is good, but not in noisy areas. The MP3 player is quick and nice and easy to turn your MP3's into rings. If your not using the GPS, 4G, WiFi or Blue Tooth turn them off for battery life. They have it easy to do right on the home screen. If you want to use them all get a charger and a spare battery but that would hold true for most phones.

This phone is amazing! I thought at first the screen would be too big but it is perfect. Texting is made so easy because of it and at the pool today I was watching TV on the nice big screen. Battery life is good if you ALWAYS kill your apps when you are done with the phone. The most annoying thing is apps just turn on at times on their own. I moved from a blackberry to the EVO. If you recieve a ton of e-mail for work stay with BB because email is light years ahead of anroid. If want a balance of fun and email this has to be your phone!

    Good Smart Phone But......

I have had my Evo for two weeks and enjoy its speed and display quality. It is not too comfortable as a pure phone but is OK. The sound quality of the phone is only OK. I don't enjoy paying a mandatory fee of $10 for 4g service that is not avialable in our area. The size of of the screen is a big plus for me. I can read online articles without reading glasses. It sinks easily with Outlook. There is a good collection of apps but getting an app killer is critical. This puppy drinks the battery dry quickly and would likely leave you stranded if your are away from a charger for more than 24 hours. A very nifty phone but beware of battery life!!

I've had the EVO for just about 2 months now. I must say overall I LOVE this phone. It was well worth the trouble I went through to get it. The size was very over whelming at first, but now the size is my favorite feature. I also use an iphone daily, and i must say the two devices are neck to neck. The front facing camera is awwesome. The phone takes very good pictures. I have nothing but good things to say about this phone. The only negative is the battery life... it's terriable. if you use your phone alot through out the day you def need to keep a charger handy.

    WONDERFUL Cell Phone

One of the best rated and reviewed phones since it was released for use. I find it a great phone to use, and a very large clear screen. Since starting to use it, it has updated to Android 2.3.3, which includes the ability to enlarge and shrink by pinching the screen. Screen sensitivity makes it work wonderfully! The HTC Screens are great to use, and like the widget with time and weather combined, that I was used to from the HTC Hero before. It runs applications very fast, and is like a second computer, on the go! The GPS program has come into great use while on vacation a few times, and was faster, and more accurate than a relatives IPhone in finding the path to follow to our destination.

Would have been excellent except for battery life

This phone does everything i had expected it to do and more. I couldn't imagine carrying a computer in my pocket that was so small. The problem is that the battery doesn't even last a day. I had read this in reviews before I purchased it. It get very warm and sometimes hot. I purchased a 2nd battery and charger on line and even that didn't help much. I had to carry the 2nd battery with me wherever I went. I turned down the brightness and used all the other helpful hints for conserving battery life. They helped somewhat but I still can't get a day out of it. Hopefully HTC will do something to remedy this major problem. Thank you

I absolutely LOVE this phone!!!!! My previous phone was a Blackberry and I loved it, too, but one morning my track ball went wonky on me and refused to move upward, only down and side to side. So I took advantage of the upgrade I was entitled to and got the EVO. It's touch screen is great, the apps are fun (I've got a flashlight!!!!! How cool is that???) and the speed is amazing. The dual camera is awesome!!!!! This is truly a phone worth the upgrade price. The only thing I wish were better is the battery -- I have to charge it every night, where the Blackberry was every other night.

Short and sweet here. I've had a ton of phones over the last year or so and the Evo 4G takes the cake. My Evo runs ever so smoothly and has speed for days. Reception is top notch. Build quality is amazing so far and display and features are great. The Gingerbread update did cause a few bugs which will be worked out, but it also improved battery life and performance a ton. I simply can't say enough good things about the Evo. The fact that it's only $50 with service right now is just killer, and you won't find a better phone for the money imo.

    Best phone I've ever had

The evo is a great phone, and does everything I would ever need it to and more. The only draw back I've had was the battery life when I first got it. When used at all the default settings, the battery would be dead half way through the day. Once I customized all the settings and features, I've had a full battery all day long. I do wish that the phone was capable of switching between 3G/4G on it's own in a 4G area. If the phone is left on 4G and you leave a 3G area w/o switcing back, your battery will die in less than an hour (similar to it dying when your phone is roaming).

Got this phone three days ago and have nothing but great things to say. So many great features, the camera is unbelievable and speed of applications and web pages will blow you away. Im only in a 3g network and it still very fast. My only gripe is not really a gripe at all, it took a little bit of time to get used to OS. I come from a palm pre and so i was a little lost at first on how to navigate. Im very comfortable now and cant be happier. Highly recommend this phone to everyone!

I'm not disappointed with this phone

I'm not disappointed with my phone selection. It has all the features that I could have wanted and those features all funtion as I expected. One of the draw backs is the battery life. I need to recharge everyday. The other draw back is the additional $30 a month that I have to pay to utilize the hotspot capabilities. That was not explained when I bought the phone. They did tell me about the additional $10 per month for the digital package but was not told about the additional $30 until I returned to the store to ask why I was getting a card error when trying to use the hotspot. I will probably have that shut off to reduce my monthly bill.

While I am still illiterate in using some of these new devices , I have found this phone very easy to use! I still need the e-mail a question in or stop at a Sprint store from time to time but they have always solved any problems or questions I have had! The things you can do while talking on the phone at the same time are incredible!! I put it on speaker and can access my calender while setting appointments has been a excellent advantage for me! I could go on but if you don't have one you don't know what you are missing!!! Also any billing questions I have had are always resolved quickly to my satisfaction, I have never had such a good response with any other company!

There are so many features on this smartphone, it's truly an engineering marvel. Sprint and HTC currently have the best network and phone combination available. It's like carrying around a mini mobile entertainment system. This in tandem with the Android market, the possibilities are endless. Only detractions are, battery life is zapped rather quicky, wish it had a qwerty keboard, it provides a much more tactile feel. Some of us like the best of both worlds. Also more accessories should have been included with the purchase such as a case, screen protector, hdmi cable and earphones

I love my new EVO! It goes everywhere with me and I can keep track of my 2 personal email accounts, work email, twitter, blog, and more. The 8.0 megapixel camera is AMAZING. It takes great pics, as good as my regular camera, and I can upload to WordPress or Twitter instantly. The Internet speed is great & the loading of applications is much faster than my husband's phone that he got only 2 months earlier. It's the biggest screen out there, but it fits in my purses and most of my pants pockets (female). Love it Love it Love it. Oh, and I have the White EVO..... super cute!

My first android phone, so the learning curve has taken awhile.. Texting is a challenge with the touch screen for someone used to buttons, but you can choose the correct word on the list the phone gives you if you spell something wrong. It is getting easier to use with practice. The 4G is very impressive in getting information from the web. A good choice that will enhance your call quality, web searches, which will organize and simplify your life. If you use the 4G, it will run the battery down quickly. Easily fixed by turning it off and using just the 3G feature.

    Excellent Product and Interface

Excellent phone, love the large screen, processor speed, dual camera, etc. A winner all around. The HTC interface is nice too, 5 screen pages even before version 2.2. My only real complaint is the battery life, turning radios (GPS, 4G, WiFi etc.) on ONLY when needed will make it last the work day. The recent update to Android 2.2 added Bluetooth hands-free Voice Dialing, but it didn't inprove battery life for me. This baby can do just about anything. Looking for the app "Do My Dishes."
