    Really good 7 inch tablet!

Puchased this week after the price dropped to $299. I wanted a nice screen, fast performance, storage, great audio quality with headphones, compact size and ligbt weight. Flexibility and ease of use also. The HTC Flyer has them all. Screen protectors are recommended to keep fingerprints away. Am using a gel cover which is light and makes things easy to handle. Will get a car charger so I can e-read while traveling. Very pleased!

    Got instead of Kindle!

I purchased the Kindle on day one & really liked having a 7" tablet. After a few days of heavy use, I felt it was lacking the full Android experience, plus I didn't want to buy the same Android apps I already owned from Android Market, from Amazon again. Best decision I've made. This does everything I need it to do plus. This is a great tablet for only 100 more than the Kindle.

    Scratches Super Easily

Love the product and the HTC SENSE however on day ONEs trying to insert my memory card, I scratched the screen! HTC was so kind as to replace the screen for $250?? Makes no sense, please be careful when opening back cover, the trick is to push in the middle and push off that way, HTC gets a Bad Apple for nickel and diming the customer to replace a product that would have never been scratched had there cover been easier to open, they are notorious for difficult enclosures think HTC inspire! Product is nice, but this is NOT GORILLA GLASS!

    Not Very Good

I purchased the HTC Flyer to replace by Nook. But I have been less than impressed. The ring to unlock is not very responsive. Applications are constantly being forced to close. Even though it has space for an card for extra memory, the back is very difficult to get off . I was unable to get the back panel off to insert memory card and my husband was afraid he would break because of quality of material. When it does work it work okay but when you added the price of the tablet, pen, and memory card I would go ahead and get an iPad.

I bought this HTC Flyer in October, 2011. It had Android 2.3 and now it is upgraded to Honeycomb 3.0. After the upgrade, I feel it is running little bit slow. The design of this tablet is high quality. The home screen looks very good. It is easy to make adjustment for wallpapers and launchers and other settings. For true Android tablet, it is better than Kindle Fire. The camera is good, but I didn't use it very often. It takes good picture, but I won't use it as a camera. I feel it is heavier than Kindle Fire.

I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to tell those in search of a good tablet while in college, this is a good tablet to get. Not as expensive as ipad2, but has great picture taking. the note app that is on this tablet makes lecture note taking much easier. Also very easy to use and it never lets me down. Im amazed by all the apps on android.

This is an amazing & awesome tablet, very powerful & smooth with no lags. The gingerbread os is awesome with sense 3.0 is just amazing, browser is just excellent. I also had a xoom and ipad 2 and i love the flyer much better, less laggy than the xoom & overall better than the ipad 2. It comes with a 1.5 ghz but it is really fast & performs as ggod as the ipad 2.

The size makes it enjoyable for reading. Whether it's an ebook, email, or an article on the web, the Flyer lets you relax in your recliner (or wherever you are most comfortable) and read it as easily as you would on a computer screen. The Android Market offers all sorts of games, movies, books, as well as applications to make the Flyer a great entertainment device.

I love this tablet! I had an Acer Iconia 10.1" before this one, and it was too bulky for me, and somewhat glitchy. I sold that one and got the HTC Flyer--it is so much better, never crashes, and is much faster than the dual-core Iconia. I am now thinking of dumping my Samsung phone and getting one made by HTC. Highly recommended.

HTC really knows how to do the Android platform. This tablet has it all, great screen, good keyboard, plenty of memory and SD slot, good battery life, and runs Skype like a champ. The 7" screen is fine for everything I've tried on it and it's very easy to cary around in my cargo pockets. This really is one of the best tablets I have ever played with.

excellent tablet - just the right size, great performance. All the apps and games on my andoid phone work on this tablet too but on a much nicer bigger screen. Great for reading all the kindle books from amazon and able to borrow/return/read library ebooks on this easily because of the normal web page access. Google map navigation make this a supper sized GPS with easy map search.

Could you all just read a fact or two before posting? HTC Flyer sold with Stylus in Europe for 479 Pounds (UK - 729 dollars or so). Look it up on Amazon UK. HTC Flyer sold for 499 Dollars at Best Buy (US) without Stylus. Stylus is supposed to be 80 bucks at BB. Stylus is currently available on Amazon UK for 63 dollars (Pre-Order).. If you don't like the product, don't buy it. Give your dollars to Motorola or Apple. But sheesh, stop spreading drek.

    Excited for this release

This will be a great tablet when it comes out. There are some things to note that are wrong in the specs. This will be sporting Android 2.4 (not 2.3) and will receive a 3.0 update later within a month of release. Also, there are some places stating that the pen is included, so why it does not specifically say it is or isn't is beyond me. I am all for buying once those technicalities are out of the way and the spec sheet is updated!

I absolutely LOVE my HTC Flye. It fits nicely in my purse and available at the times I need it . I haven't had any problem with any Apps I use . I used the camera to take pics of a meeting I attended and learned I can write notes with my stylus on the pic, was wonderful, easy to go back to notes. CUDOS !!! Becky

The flyer is ultra fast and i love the size. The battery life lasts a full day no problem. I've had no problems with it and I love using the pen (although it has to be bought separately). And htc tweeted that it will definitely be upgraded to honeycomb. This is overall a great tablet!

I purchased the HTC Flyer when the price went down. It is a very high quality tablet and the size is great for putting in a back pocket or cargo pocket. There is a honeycomb update coming which will make it even better! The tablet has the HTC Sense interface, which is really nice. So far it seems to be fast and battery life is great. If you are considering a 7" tablet, this is a good choice.

    No guarantee of Honeycomb upgrade

Was excited about this tablet -- especially the Scribe technology. BUT, my enthusiasm has been tempered by the ambiguity around whether or not this tab will be upgradable to Honeycomb. I contacted HTC Support just today, and was told, "As of the moment, we are not sure if the Flyer can be upgraded to Honeycomb." I'm thinking that this tablet may just not be ready yet.

For being a lower "ish" spec tablet, it absolutely screams along. It is fast and I love the HTC sense. I hope that it gets a future update to a tablet OS beyond Android 2.3, but It is great! I highly recommend it for the price, and you have to buy the pen! Super cool extra feature for sure.

Love my Flyer, have had no problems with it at all. Easy to use if you've used android before, if not, android is great once you learn it. I like the 7 inch screen since it is much lighter, easier to hold and portable. Good battery life, no crashes, would highly recommend it.
