    Very disappointing phone

Both my wife and I purchased the HTC One phones when they were on sale for $99.99 thinking that it would be a great deal. We were upgrading from a Motorola Razor and a X2. Both of those phones had been great phones but were due for replacement. We had read that the HTC One phones were really good units but we were disappointed in their performance almost from the very beginning. The voice quality during a phone call was terrible, the person on the other end would always say they were having a hard time understanding us. When we would call each other it was impossible to have a normal conversation. The speaker phone option was was even worse. The HTC Sense interface was virtually useless thanks to its limited selection of news sources to choose from and the constant intrusion of the Google Now app was annoying. The calendar app that came with the phone was lacking too. We ended up swapping the two HTC phones for Samsung Galaxy S4 units a week ago and they have been really excellent choices. Everything about the new Galaxy S4 phone has been as advertised and we are extremely happy now.

The sound quality om this devise is amazing. It is clearer than any other phone I have experienced including the Iphone 5 and the Galaxy S3. However, this phone has the worst antenna. Calls would drop and has no signal most of the time. In my home, I had to walk out to the driveway to make calls. At work, I had to go outside to the parking lot.The phone did not function indoors at all. I have Verizon for over 10 years; so I know it was the phone and not the service. I guess the engineers who designed this device forgot that its main function was a phone

I even got a replacement refurbished phone. This phone is seriously terrible. Sure, 4g is great and all, but it's not unlimited data. This phone's ability to connect to any wireless internet anywhere is so choppy. It's impossible to hold a skype conversation or stream netflix. This is the WORST possible buy. Not to mention that they force you to update your phone almost every two weeks and everytime the phone updates, the quality degrades that much more. Absolutely TERRIBLE! I will definitely go back to Apple. This was my first and LAST Android.

I got this phone mainly due to the beats audio system. The phone worked great for the first 2-4 days. After it did a couple of automatic updates it just started wigging out. The voice recognition quit working so no more voice searching. The apps freeze and the phone has to be restarted, and after all that mess, the beats audio is no louder than the other integrated speakers on other phones. In my opinion... Find another phone and save yourself the 2 year trouble.

I guess this phone is ok, nothing exceptionally good. The pictures taken by the camera tend to be blurry, so much so that I can't even use the remote deposit function on my banking app.
