I have had it only a week and the monitor is frozen. According to help support after lengthy troubleshooting, it must be returned for an exchange. After an hour on the phone, they are now coming to pick it up in three days and hopefully the replacement will arrive soon after but they cannot give me an exact date for the replacement at this time.

Great rowing machine with a good online community.

Not what I was expecting. Easy to assemble and exercise on. Has a lot of poor quality issues. When first started using, made loud humming noise that went away after a few weeks. The machine is not engaging or motivating.

Looking to return because you can’t use without $500 subscription.

I love this rower! I’ve been wanting this forever and it’s been fantastic for our whole family. My 13 year loves rowing too. Saves us from having to go to the gym.

I purchased a one year membership, as soon as 30 days is up the machine just went blank, spinning and spinning. It is connected to the internet, but somehow the machine did not recognize that I had already purchased the membership, even though I had entered the code to activate it.

Really like the video workouts but can not adjust the height of the foot pads, really hurts my old hips

Cancelled my order when I saw how expensive the subscription plan was. It will not work without the subscription and I don't want to be paying additional fees. Might as well go to a gym!

I am an employee of Best Buy. I like this product for many reasons but the key features that stood to me was how smooth, comfortable and noise free it was when performing the rowing exercises. It comes with a 22''hd screen that is ample for touring international waterways like the Charles River and the subscription offers a variety of ways to row. With the equipment and the subscription, you don't just get the noise free rower, you get the experience. It looks good, too. I highly recommend.

Significant internet connection issues plague this machine that relies on an internet connection as its primary advantage over other rowing machines. Wifi or ethernet, it doesn't matter, the machine will freeze, drop the connection, deliver choppy video, and all other problems that remind me of the early days of the internet.

Don’t waste your money. The software on these machines is horrible. It does not allow you to connect to anything. They promote ANT+ compatibility but it doesn’t work

Returning it and disappointed .. I didn’t feel a real work out

I am in my late 40s and have been going to a gym regularly for the past 7 years. We bought the Hydrow (at the very lucky Black Friday price of $1000 off!) mostly so my husband could get more exercise, bit I’m finding that the Hydrow is more effective, with more visible results, than anything I’ve done at the gym. I can see new muscles forming and my clothes fit better, despite eating my way through the holidays. Don’t buy this machine if you don’t want to pay for the subscription. It’s kinda the whole point of Hydrow...having coaches to help you vary and level up your workouts. Also, having a leader board During your workout is a great motivator to work harder. In short, I’ve never found a better, more efficient, all-body workout. I find that a minimum of 30 minutes on the machine, preferably 45, is required to see results.

Horrible experience They keep passing the problem off to different people, none of who can solve the issue. Never again!

I got to meet Dani Hansen at an event recently and hearing straight from the mouth of a gold medalist rower how this product helps them train and actively supports US Olympic Rowing was amazing. It looks like a Silicon Valley tech gimmick until you get on one immediately after a traditional rower and feel the difference. I’m a kayak and while the sport is very different you can tell the water feel is much more authentic. The workouts and races keep it interesting and you will never run out of content even using a new one every day!

I was looking for something to motivate me to use an at home piece of equipment since I gave up my Peloton Bike due to boredom and just lack of use. I came across this beautiful piece of equipment and I was sold. And yes people, You have to sign up for a subscription to use it, unlike other reviewers who failed to do the proper research on this product, like all smart work out equipment, you do in fact have to pay $38 a month for the classes and yes this equipment will be worthless without the classes. It is designed beautifully and the 22 inch screen is awesome and has same functionality as Peloton with a wide array of classes and even free rowing on various bodies of water. Instructors are still getting the hang of being filmed on the water and no the music is not too loud behind the instructors as you can adjust it. The only issue I had was the belt seemed too loud and I contacted customer service and they are having a tech come out in two days to adjust this. Fantastic customer service and a quality device that I will try and stick with.
