I’ve bailed on my studio and gym memberships with all the unknowns of C19. I love rowing so I after researching what seemed like all ergometers available, I opted for the Hydrow. Delivery and setup was incredibly easy thanks to Best Buy. The design and mechanics of the machine are top notch, one of the quietest ergometers I’ve used. I love the monitor and software that brings a new twist to rowing. Thanks to the coaching, my form has notably improved in just the past three weeks. The other great thing is how customer focused the company is. In speaking with other owners, the company actively cares about the quality of their product and their customers’ satisfaction. I’ve got no regrets with the purchase!

Great Rower, smooth, has huge display, soft padded seat and glides smoothly. Little overpriced, but this is the new gimmick with the big electronic displays and interactive software and high prices. Has a nice footprint. Its very, very heavy, so you need at least 2 people to move it. We will see how it holds up once I use it more.

This is a beautifully designed machine. It is well made, works even better than expected, and I love the workouts. I have rowed over 150 k meters so far. Well-designed training programs are part of the membership (which you need to pay for to get the value out of the machine-$500k/year, but the gym I quit was 4X that cost). I enjoy the live rows, too. The downside is that the machine is very heavy and bulky. If delivery to the preferred location in your home and assembly is available through Best Buy, it is worth the $. That was not an option in my area, so I had to hire a moving company to get it upstairs, and I then managed to assemble it myself (petite 50-something woman), but it was a struggle. Despite that, I would highly recommend this product.

I've recently purchased my Hydrow and I'm loving it! I'm not one to write reviews but given that I had concerns investing in a higher priced item like this one, I figured I would offer some insight for anyone else looking to make this purchase. Delivery was super easy and came on time, the machine comes inside a huge box and extremely well packaged. Set up took a few minutes but be careful, this machine is heavy!! My husband and I are both heavier sized and were concerned about how we would feel using the machine being plus size, I can honestly say that you can use the machine just like anyone else and other than adjusting your posture here and there everything runs super smoothly. I hope you enjoy your Hydrow just like we are!

Top of the Line

The company definitely backed up the price tag on this product. Easy installation, high quality and sleekness of design. Coaches are relatable, high variety of workouts, and such a cool concept with the live rowing environment. Only dinged rating *slightly* because I needed to hardwire into the internet for maximum experience. If the location of the rower won’t have a strong WiFi connection, you’ll have some issues with a less snappy screen response time and some freezing during workouts. Since I’ve hardwired it (you could also get a booster for WiFi, but that’s another cost), it’s eliminated all connectivity issues. There are definitely lower cost rowers out there, but in my opinion this is top of the line. I would recommend this rower to anyone in the market.

My wife and I looked at several brands of rowers before choosing Hydrow. Great rower that is smooth. Hydrow offers both basic rowing lessons and you can pay for personal lessons if your form is off. I am glad we chose to purchase through Best Buy. After joining the Hydrow community online, I learned the some have been waiting weeks even months to receive the delivery of a rower in the box. Best Buy delivered ours in less than a week and completely assembled and set it up. We are total tech members which added a extra 2 yr warranty. Very satisfied with both Hydrow and Best Buy.

Extremely pleased with the whole Hydrow experience. I’m someone who enjoys working out but I am more successful and motivated if I have a “coach” telling me what to do. The video library is large and varied so I can easily row 6-7 times a week and never feel like I’m repeating the same routine. Hydrow instructors are personable and entertaining and make 30 minutes fly by. Hydrow is the most comfortable and solid feeling rower I have ever used. Very quiet, it is easy to hear the instructors even during the most rigorous workouts.

Bright spot in a Pandemic

Since pandemic life means gyms are a bit risky, I spent a lot of time researching home cardio equipment. I have only rowed a few times at the gym and heavily researched bikes, ellipticals, rowers, and treadmills. In the end, I opted for a rower for the combination of upper and lower body work. The Hydrow just kept coming up at the top of my list. I could have ordered a less expensive rower but figured I'd be kicking myself for just not spending the difference to get the Hydrow. I ordered on Jul 30 and included Geek Squad delivery an set up. It arrived as scheduled on Aug 16 and the 2 young men from Geek Squad had it up and running; and all the packing materials cleaned up and toted away in just 45 minutes. I have used it every day since delivery. I planned for the monthly subscription and it is worth every penny for the variety of rower and mat workouts and athletes. No other gym equipment or video workouts have ever been motivating enough to make me want to use them every day. The Hydrow app (only on Applie iOS) and the app on your Hydrow are easy to use. Also, the online community is supportive and inspiring! Come join us on the virtual water - you'll be glad you did!

With gyms closed, record summer heat, and smokey air from wildfires, it was getting hard to find ways to productively blow off steam while getting some quality exercise. I researched many different home exercise options, and am so thankful I found Hydrow. I took my time deciding whether it was right for us, read many reviews and even drove to a local BestBuy to test out the floor model. I was able to get it much faster through BestBuy than from Hydrow direct, though they did not meet the original date in my order, so was able to pick it up about a week after ordering. A friend with a truck delivered it, and my husband and I assembled it. It is VERY heavy and not very easy to move, so have a good place in mind for it before it arrives. Make sure you have dependable Wifi or can plug it into your internet connection, as the classes are streamed. We have been working out on it for about 7 weeks now and couldn't be happier. GREAT full-body workouts with terrific athlete-coaches in beautiful settings makes it so appealing. You can dial up shorter or longer, and easier or tougher workouts, depending on what works for you. Husband and I have each already rowed over 100K meters, and are headed toward the 250K milestone. The Hydrow Crew FB page has a great community of supportive, friendly Hydrow users where tips, insights, and positive energy are shared daily. My only regret is that I didn't find it sooner!

I’ve bought so many exercise machines and aids over the years. And after a few times, they start to collect dust or act as a convenient place to store laundry. This machine has been transformational. The quality of construction is good - but the class and engagement experience is fantastic. I’ve used it every day for the last four weeks. I’m addicted to the classes and racking up the rewards (flask after 100km etc). I’ve got my base fitness back and feel my body stronger and leaner. It’s high price, but If you can afford it then the value proposition is compelling.

I love my Hydrow! It’s design is sleek, and it’s quality is outstanding. A monthly subscription is required and well worth it. There are on demand work outs as well as live rows. I love that the workouts I watch are actually on the water, not in a gym. It’s beautiful to watch, the workouts are great and easy to follow. Highly recommend.

I bought my Hydrow one month ago and it's been the best exercise investment that I've ever made. I've been a sporadic with my fitness in the past - yoga classes, gym membership - but I quickly lost interest. A friend recommended the Hydrow, and I can honestly say that I'm excited to exercise again, easily keeping up with my 4x weekly sessions. The classes are fun, informative and engaging - in a beautiful setting. Rowing on the Hydrow is hypnotic - taking you to a different destination every day. I've built strength and stamina, adding resistance to keep it tough. I alternate with "on the mat" sessions of pilates and functional fitness - giving me a great overall workout every week. I'm in my 50's and appreciate the terrific workout without pounding stress on my joints. The beauty of the machine makes it non-obtrusive in my condo and it's so quiet it does not disturb others. I used the Best Buy in-home delivery (so quick I had my Hydro within a week) and they arrived right on time and brought the box (very big & heavy) into the room, and I did the setup myself from there. Had it up and running with the tools they provided in under 30 minutes. Well worth the investment!

The best piece of home exercise equipment ever

Whether you are a rower or not, the mechanics of this equipment are great - low impact and yet it exercises your whole body and enhances cardio. I am actually an ex rower and the way this feels is much closer to actually being on the water than other machines I've used - the "catch" when the virtual oar bites the virtual water is much sharper than air-fans (Concept 2) and the resistance during the rest of the stroke is more authentic and adjustable than the water-rower which I used to own.
That's the foundation - without that, it wouldn't matter how good the video part is.
But the video part is really wonderful; when the weather is bad or you are in quarantine, how about a row on Loch Ness? Copying the technique of the athletes is really helpful and they are nice people - and they don't expect everyone to be an expert. And the live-rows (even though on East Coast Time) are fun to join sometimes.
The whole family uses this (although not as much as me!)

Very good quality rower with beautiful esthetic and great rowing feeling. It's quiet and very intuitive. Monthly subscription does worth it, trainers are very good and keep you interested and motivated. Usually I am not the one that gets passionate with gym hardware or online classes but in this case I think they design a great product / system.

Excellent rower and great content. This is the Peloton of rowers. There are a lot of classes to choose from regardless of. your experience level. The instructors are great at explaining everything and I love that they are on the water while doing the class. It is not the cheapest out there, but it is a quality product, solidly built with excellent content. Easy to assemble, you only have to add the from foot and the monitor. I would highly recommend.

I own a Peloton bike and I use it regularly. The biggest issue with the bike is that it's almost all quad. Your upper leg is working like crazy and the cardio is really intense. The problem with the bike is that it doesn't do the rest of your body. I bought the Hydrow to try to get a full body workout and it's really great. You're effectively doing a squat, crunch and push up each time you row. When it's over you really feel as though you've worked out your entire body. The classes are great too. You see the instructor on the screen and you're mirroring them, so when they go fast so do you. I took a class yesterday and they were in Miami and there were dolphins in the open water. It was pretty neat. Anyway, it's nice to go stroke for stroke with them and it makes it a lot more enjoyable than a traditional rower. I love it and my family has been using it more than the Peloton.

I just bought this and got delivered a week ago. I have also paid for the streaming program. I have used it so far few times and I love it. The hydrow is so smooth and quiet to use and the streaming program is really making it easy to learn rowing the right way and use it. There are 100s of programs to choose from and since I am a newbie I started with the beginners session and really like it

Been looking around for a exercise equipment that would give me a full body workout and the Hydro is the best choice I made. The classes it offers are really good and motivates me when I am feeling like I don’t have much left in the tank. The ease of use and assembly was very easy. Overall a great buy and I use it 4/5 times a week.
