This is a great hub to take on the go - has just enough ports to get the job done while compact enough for travel

If you are getting a new Macbook, you need one of these to connect USB, SD cards, and HDMI devices. However, I found another on another site and it was cheaper and came with an ethernet port. So, do your shopping. This is a good one, but there are better,

    docking station for Macbook

Needs more USB ports as everything else including webcams, document cameras, mouse (I hate trackpads), and maybe another camera. I have to go get a USB hub to plug into the hub since all new products have the new power ports. The HDMI port worked well to hook to a TV to get the bigger monitor thing going. Less strain on body, neck, voice, everything.

    Great Addition to Macbook Pro

I appreciate this product to add legacy ports to the new MacBook Pro. This adds the 1-HDMI, 2-UBS-3 and 1-mini and 1-standard SD card slots, along with 2-USB-C ports to maintain the original connectivity. The adapter plugs into both of the MacBook USB-C ports. This allows the close fitting attachment stronger, and provides maximum power and throughput for the extended ports. I enjoy having the legacy support. It is a bit high priced but is of lasting construction. The color is compatible with the space gray or silver models.

I am so happy that I found this product. I was frustrated with my Mac Book because I could not connect it to my mouse or anything else. This drive is portable and allows me to connect several devices at once.

Super easy to use and the color matched perfectly to my Macbook Pro. Only downsize is the price but it's worth it for its durability and compact size.

Delighted that this HyperDrive allows me to upload a medical device that has an older USB connection with my new MacBook Pro. Its small size makes for easy carrying in a computer bag.

I had hoped to leave this attached to my laptop most of the time, but something in its firmware seems to interact with the OS (Windows 10) on a HP Spectre. The system doesn't seem to sleep or hibernate on a reliable pattern as without the hub installed, and it doubles or triples the reboot time if I restart. Have not tried to research what may be happening between the subsystems, because, who has time for unraveling every little nuisance. But the bottom line is it serves a purpose when i need the extra ports, but I only attach it when needed.

It seems to work well. I’m running HDMI to a full HD monitor as well as a keyboard and mouse, and an audio interface. It does kind of sit crooked which bothers me a little bit, but the connection seems stable. The dummy headphone stabilizer does not work on the 16” MacBook Pro. I paid about 60% of retail and I’m happy. I wouldn’t pay much more.

They could have designed better, does NOT feel that sits securely to the receptacle of the computer. Feels like it is dangling and if the whole purpose is to be mobile, think twice because it does not feel it is secured at all . It should be half the price or a quarter for what bestbuy is asking. Personally looking for a better seated quality product. Feels like is going to fall off your computer!

I was disappointed that I had to purchase this however its the only way to be able to use other USB ports/items to my MacBook Pro. It works well and doesn't take much space.

As stated on my summary, it is a good piece but it has a few downsides to it. It tends to heat up if you have a the HDMI in use, it's understandable but also at the same time it's kind of annoying. I don't like where the connector is located, as it leaves most of it hanging so you have to be careful about not accidentally tugging the device, placing your hand on it or else it flexes down and it can potentially break. if you have a case on your computer you are going to have some difficulty using it. On my 2019 15inch macbook pro I can only use it on the first port (left side) since I have a case and it won't connect all the way through on the second port because of where the case fits on the computer. overall is a does the job, it would've been nice if the company had designed it a little better, with more support where the memory card slot goes.

This drive would be great, but it detaches from my computer way to easily. Also, Ive noticed that sometimes I have to push it in further a couple times just to make sure that my computer is picking up that it has been attached. I really wish apple didn't get ride of the drives that are built into their computers.

Mixed feelings about this. Over valued but all the the features packed into the equipment is nice. However, I couldn't move the laptop without the docking station fall off. The docking station would also get really, really hot.

It has 7 ports very handy for the 2015 models and up MacBooks, but it has no iPhone/iPad plug in to charge it from your laptop and since the earbuds use the charger slot the head jack isn’t really necessary now, but if it had those ports I would love it, hopefully in the future.
