For those who use their iPad for media consumption, the external media playback buttons will become a must. I have an iPad Mini and a iPad Air and don't like to watch any media without this little device. The forward and back buttons don't work in all applications, but the play/pause buttons almost always do. It works in the apps I use the most... Infuse - Media Playback for my Local Videos All the buttons work. The forward and back buttons can be used for chapter navigation (perfect for movies and TV shows). Channels DVR All the buttons work. However, this is handy when cooking, so you don't have to touch the screen. I haven't used for music playback, but it seems like it should work with that without issue. If you need a hub, why get one that has added capabilities? Oh yeah, the other hubby features work great, too. This device can run a little warm, but it hasn't caused me any alarm. It also can drain your battery a little faster, but the I can just plug it to charge while in use.

very cool hub for my ipad air. just be aware it get hot when multiple things plugged in and charging. although it would have been nice if it brought a carrying case like the hub for macbook does. using a microfiber cloth sunglass case instead.

Works like it should. It didn’t come with instructions so I couldnt tell that the rubber attachments were interchangeble between devices and they just pulled off. It’s convenient, but it’s missing a network adapter. Cheaper adapters, but controls are the selling feature.

I really love this hyper drive 6–1 USBC media hub, it has really maximized the use of my iPad Pro. Now when I’m doing a presentation, I can bring a HDMI cord and stream my video and sound into any TV or projector that has an HDMI. Plus it gives me another USB-C, a high-speed USB, plus a media button buttons to turn up the volume, pause the video, play the video, or fast-forward or reverse video.

This multi-media hub works fantastically for all my media needs..I use my MIDI keyboard, hdmi to tv, headphones, etc. all flawlessly and streamlined for ease of use. Turned my Ipad Pro into a powerhouse laptop!

Great little device. have tested all the ports and the button functionality on my 11" iPad Pro. Does exactly what it claims to do and makes watching films and accessing my external harddrives a breeze.

The HyperDrive USB-C 6 in 1 Hub is nothing short of perfection! It’s an older hub but it’s more than sufficient for loading/unloading files directly into your iPad Pro. It can snap on directly or has a short adapter if you’re using a cable the just doesn’t quite reach your iPad. HDMI out is also option if you need a multi-display option. Couldn’t beat the discounted price either.

This is a really great hub to have overall, especially for use with a Music app of your choice, but I had to return it because it wouls overheat and drain my iPad's battery. When connected to power, it also overheats. For the price, I do not think it is worth purchasing.

Works great with iPad Pro, Macbook and Windows laptop with USB-C port. You can charge your laptop and add a monitor, 3.5mm - 1/8" stereo headset or connect to a stereo, use memory cards and USB-A devices at the same time! The play controls are great! It comes with a small cable you can attach to use it on other devices that it cannot be attached to like an iPad. Highly recommented.

After testing multiple usb c adapters, I found the best one with the added playback buttons. This is the most versatile adapter out there that is unmatched since it can be used with an iPad or any other usb c enabled device by using the supplied cable.

Works excellent, had a few minor hiccups but they were caused by user error.

Great hub for everything you need. Only issue I’ve ran into is I use a keyboard attachment and it doesn’t work perfectly with it on the iPad but other than that it’s got everything you need.

Did exactly what it said, however ran very hot. Decided to return it after a few days.

Works as expected in iPad Pro 12 inch. Am able to run headphones, midi controller and audio interface at the same time.

This handy hub provides all the ports you need to nake the ipad a true all in one.

This has come in handy although, the microSD card slot doesn’t work. The nearest Best Buy is an hour away from me so it would cost me time and gas to return it for another.

This is very convenient for working with an iPad. I would love if they switched the sd reader to another USB port but overall very good
