This Adapter / dongle works great for travel or remote working. I think this is much more convenient that looking through my bag for a specific dongle such as a USB Type C to USB Type A or SD Card Reader, etc. I can pull out this one adapter and know I have all the bases handled. This adapter offers most of all the ports I need on the go and allows pass-through charging.

Great product to add necessary legacy ports to your MacBook Pro without adding a lot of bulk. Keep it in my bag when the need arises. Only issue I have found is that it seems you cannot use the second USB-C 5GB port for video output.

I’ve had this product for a few months now and have had no issues with it. HDMI port works great as well at the other ports. Only thing I will note is that the product gets hot after a while of use and I think drains your computer battery quite a bit over extended period of use without a charger plugged in. Overall great high quality product.

The product is useful. But I can't understand why Apple would make the MacBook like that.

Cheap and has all ports needed to connect non UCSB b and I really liked this.

With Apple constantly changing its ports between USB’c , lightening, etc. accessory expansion is necessary. The hyperdrive USBc drive fils the bill. It is reasonably priced and all of the ports work. It also has a card reader so that photos can be transferred to the internal hard drive or ,as I need as a photographer, an external hard drive which also plugs into the hyperdrive.

I think this accessory is so classy it even comes with a nice leather looking pouch to put it in. Unfortunately, my case for the mac doesnt let the adapter fit fully to work so I have to remove my bottom case.

This adapter piece looks good on the Mac and for the most part, works as advertised. However, the connection to the side of the laptop is not very secure (at least on my example) and therefore can come loose while doing something important like downloading files. I plan to exchange this unit for one with a more secure attachment.

I paid the higher price because this device was supposed to have everything... it does, but doesn't always work. In fact, for reasons unknown to me, I can only get the drive to have a solid connection with my Mac if I fold it's leather cary case in half and wedge it under the forward end of the drive when it's plugged into the ports on either side. In this way, I can use every port on the drive except HDMI which still has too weak of a connection. So, while I had to buy another device to connect to screens or projectors, I still use this drive (in the manner described) to download my photography from my camera card, access my portable harddrive which is strictly USB, etc. Hence, uninspiring but functional...

The gadget serves the purpose. but one annoying thing is that this can not be used if the Mac Book Pro has a case on. This is very inconvenient and most of the time I can not use the HyperDrive as it.is a hassle to remove the case and then use the HyperDrive.

Seems to work good, but is very sensitive to be completely plugged into the computer!

My transition from PC to Mac left me confused about what to do with USB connected devices. With this HUB...problem solved! I have used it with external hard drives, DVD players, flash drives and more! Seamless operation. Bonus...you can insert it either way! My case would not allow me to plug it in like it is shown in the photo. I just turned it upside down and it still works great!

high quality manufacturing, ease of use, stable OS but still too expensive

Bought this mainly for travel purposes so that I can interface with projectors and other equipment at client locations. Performs well and blends in from an appearance standpoint. Only reason this is not five stars is due to the price, which is a bit high.

This usb is easy to used it is pricy but is good.is only for mac .

I like it, easy to use and it doesn’t stick far off the MAC Pro

This has all the connections that I need. I can't wait to try it out some more.
