Great drive with only one flaw
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great drive to compliment my new MacBook Pro 13" w/touchbar. Has plenty of ports for all your needs. Only flaw is that I have to remove the bottom portion of my Speck shell case to use this drive. It won't push in all the way flush to the laptop with the case on. Bummer. It's a small flaw that I've gotten used to, but still a bit annoying. I do like that the drive comes with a protective case for storage when not in use.

All in one
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hyperdrive has its own case and allows me to use a variety of hardware with my computer, which has only 4 type C hubs. I can use the SD drive, USB drive, 2 type C hubs, HDMI. It uses 2 type c hubs but gives the 2 type c hubs back. The only problem is I cannot use it with a case on my laptop. Whenever I want to use the device, I need to take the case off from my laptop.

A must have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a couple of these for work, one for my boss, the other (a few months later) for a co-worker. Both upgraded to the new macbook pro and did not want to have to buy all new accessories. The adaptors apple sells cost much more when you add them all up and do not even cover everything this does, I know this because the 1st time I purchased it we had already purchased all of the apple adaptors and it cost about $50 more, I found this the day after and ordered it. It was shortly after the release of the macbook pro (touchpad model) and there was nothing else you could buy. We ended up returning the others. It is small and does not look out of place, easy to travel with. I think it is a must have if you are upgrading and would like to use your old accesories. I did read others having issues with it if you move the laptop but I do not think the guys at work have had any issues. I really like that they matched the colors as well. It is a great all in one accessory for the macbook.

Very useful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new macbook pro comes w new patter of inputs, but my life before that was all related to the old ones. Simple things like HDMI and USB, so I bought along w my notebook this adaptor and it works just perfectly! I can keep using everything that I have w the simple connection of this!

Its a good item BUT..
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got this item and I am excited to use it BUT before I tell you about the bad.. lets look at the good First off, out of the box, this device is amazing. I just got my computer today and plugged it in and wow.. it works like magic. The USB ports work well with a mouse. I highly recommend it for a usb mouse. IT charges fine with the thunderbolt ports so no issues there. NOW comes the issues #1: the most talked about issue is it doesn't fit over a case and that is true. It doesn't fit over a case. #2: When you plug in a usb item, it fits tight so when you go to remove item your also removing the whole device itself just to get it out. #3 NOT ENOUGH POWER... So I gout a superdrive from apple to use for dads and cd rewriting.. well I go to plug it in and apple gives me the message that it is not powerful enough to handle a dvd drive.... I have to buy something that gives it MORE power.... With External HD's, it seems to work okay. I think its just with the CD drive itself. My conclusion. If you are going to use it for apples cd drive, don't get this. BUT if you are going to use it with an external HD and or a mouse ect, then it will work fine for your needs.

hyperdrive usb hub for Mac book pro is great but..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hub works great and gives you the USB ports needed for the older but current usb connections. Only issue is it will not fit if you use a shell/cover for the Mac book pro. It will not seat correctly and not get a connection. Removed the hard shell bottom and it fits great.

Super small and works well
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this almost daily for well over a year. I originally bought it for occasional use but when COVID arrived my work went home and this has become my "dock". It works very well and even though it gets quite warm it has been super reliable. Once I begin to travel again it's super tiny and easy to fit into a bag. My only regret is it doesn't have an analog audio output for headphones. Fortunately my MacBook has one so this isn't an issue for me.

One of the better ones, but still not quite there.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It takes up 2 Thunderbokt ports and gives you a bunch back. 1 Thunderbolt back means you can either charge or use legacy devices, luckily the MacBook Pro has 4 ports so you can still use the others but this isn’t the single plug docking solution if that’s what you’re looking for. It attaches well, no dropouts yet as others have complained but I can see how with use of the laptop in the lap can put stress on it and may not last very long with minimal rough use. USD 3.0 speeds are still slower than what the Apple adapter achieves so this might just be because of a cheaper chipset even when no other peripherals are attached. Eg. my ssd does 430write/550read with Apple USB-C to USB adapter, with this hits it’s max at 412read/420write... not a huge difference but 100MB/s is still significant... compared to others out there in this price range it is definitely better...

Has everything you could possibly need!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Except for an ethernet adapter port, for which I had to purchase a separate adapter. This hub is great though. I especially like that it isn't attached to a cable. This looks a lot cleaner and more streamlined than the options with cables, which also happen to be bulkier. It is also simple easy to use, simply Plug-and-Play.

Easy and convenient
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this item for my MacBook Pro so that I would be able to connect and download from other media sources. It’s very easy to use, and I have never had a problem getting it to work properly. Only giving one star because I do have to take my bottom case off of the MacBook to get this device to fit. Other than that, a definite thumbs up..

A necessary add-on for MacBook Pro users
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little product gives you every port you need as a MacBook Pro user. It matches the color scheme of the MBP and looks like a smart accessory when attached to your laptop. Every port works flawlessly. Just plug it in and it works. My only annoyance is that it can come off your laptop when you remove an accessory attached to the hub. Just be careful and use both hands and you won’t have a problem with accidentally removing a device from the hub. I like it and it’s very helpful to me. Recommend it.

Photo is very misleading
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When mounted on the left side of the Macbook Pro, as shown in the photo...it doesn't work. I validated this with the Apple Rep in the BB store, and one of the geek squad...if you want it to work you have to reverse it on the left side...or mount it on the right side....which interferes with my mouse. The support folks at the manufacturer was of no help....

Has the right features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I wish Apple had included an SD slot on the new MacBook Pro, this is a solid piece of gear as a substitute. No longer do I have to have little 4 inch dongles hanging out of my computer making it look like an octopus, this sits on the side, able to accept my SD card, a receiver for my mouse and still look good. My power cord is plugged in the other side. Fits tight now that they have 2 attachment ports, no intermittent disruption issues like on some of the single port attachment devices. Overall...does what I wanted it to, and very well.

Great Device, One problem
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.its a great little device gives you all the ports you would need, but the device cant seem to be used while I have my case on, I am going to exchange it for something that has a cable. I will say the device is beautiful and matches my space gray Macbook Pro perfectly! I would recommend to anyone that doesn't use a case

This is a must have for a MacBook Pro 2019
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a must have for a MacBook Pro 2019. I have plugged everything from micro sd card to my external hard drive with no problem. Even have a blue ray drive so I can burn movies and also my iPhone 11 pro max is connected. It gets slightly warm and that’s the only negative I have. My other laptop doesn’t even have a micro sd slot and this has both a micro and standard slot. I was afraid of making the jump to the new MacBook because of the usb c ports but this made it 100% easier for me.

Nice looking, highly functional if a bit expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This hub performs exactly as advertised and greatly simplifies using non USB-C connectors with a newer MBP. The finish is an almost perfect match for my Space Gray MBP. The quality seems almost as good as an Apple product. My only negative comment is that it is somewhat expensive given what the individual dongles that it replace would cost.

Pretty useless (my copy at least)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not 100% sure if unit was defective or working as designed. Only the the single lightning USB C port would transmit power to the computer meaning I couldn't charge and run an external monitor successfully. I was already lukewarm on the product due to the cost so I didn't fully investigate - just returned. Pros - interesting design and small size.
