The device worked perfectly with my 2024 MacBook Air and two additional screens. I can now use three independent screens which makes my work flow much smoother.

I had to return my first purchase because it was defected but the second worked just as expected ☺️ as a newbie to MacBooks, the setup was very easy to connect to two large monitors (which is the max) so I am able to view from all 3 screens (similar to my windows). I love it and would highly recommend!

Bought this because it offered a driverless experience to get 2 external monitors on m2 MacBook Pro 13”. The latest update corrupted the driver pre installed on the system, so I called their customer service and they provided me a new driver to download. I believe there are other hubs that use display link drivers that are more affordable and give multiple screens but this does the job. The second monitor will show up smaller than it actually is in display settings and won’t let you adjust resolution, but it seems to be a great picture. Can have three screens with a fourth from airplay or an iPad with universal control. You’ll see in display settings photo I have two identical monitors but the second does not show as the same size

I got this because I needed my Macbook Air M2 (2022) to work with a dual monitor setup. Plugged it in, installed the software (had to restart) but then instantly worked perfectly! Its small and compact so I can travel with it and has all the additional ports and functionality that I need. Been trialling it now for almost two months and I am very happy!

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and 2 external monitors and had a hard time finding a USB-C hub that was able to split all 3 monitors separately. This one did it! Has a very solid build and does not feel flimsy. Very happy with it.

    Duality for my M1 Air

Duality for my M1 Air This is a 10- port hub which works swimmingly with your M1 Mac devices, but its power comes from the Mac you will be assessing, so remember than when you hook everything up for your initial use. I was running off the battery power of my M1 Air when I first connected my two monitors to the hub and got a warning that the power to the device was insufficient. I got out the power adapter for the Air, plugged it into my Mac, and all was good. No driver installation is required. Once the Mac, the hub and the monitors are all connected, a hyperdisplay icon will magically appear on your desktop. Click it, and the hub may want to download an update. When the process is complete, you will have the option of a mirrored mode or an extended display mode for your two monitors. For my office work, I like to use the extended display option with allows me to extend my desktop over the two available screens. In my view, the Hyperdrive worked perfectly. I was able to get work done with my Air that had previously been reserved for my office Windows set up. Once the cables were hooked up, I was in business in minutes, with full 4K usability on my 4K Asus Monitor (the companion Dell monitor shown in the picture is 2K). I also use a set of desktop speakers which plugged right in to the 3.5 mm audio jack on the Hyperdrive. I also really enjoyed being able to use both SD cards and micro SD cards with the convenient slots for them on this hub. I was also able plug an ethernet cable directly into the hub so I wouldn’t have to rely on a Wifi connection for access to our office drives. I have no complaints. This is a utilitarian device that does its job with no fuss and allows me to expand those two USB-C ports on the Mac to serve multiple devices: One port on the Mac is connected to the power adapter, and the other to the hub with its useful 10 port expansion. A job well done for the aptly- named Hyperdrive!

Tons of Ports, Plug and Play

The Hyper 10-in-1 USB-C Hub is a very helpful tool when it comes to hooking up an external monitor to my MacBook Pro. I really like that it has an Ethernet port because now I won’t have to use two separate hubs. This way I have everything I need in one Hub, including the possibility of using two monitors. At the moment, I only need one HDMI port. I would prefer for this hub to have 1 more USB-C port. These days I’m not using USB-A as often as USB-C. As far as size and fit, I was able to use all the ports at the same time. I like the look and feel of the housing because when I use it on my iMac, I place the hub on the metal stand and place the plastic side down so there’s no metal on metal. HDMI PORTS & SOFTWARE: The included software is really easy to use and I find the “plug and play” description to be true, at least for one of the HDMI ports. One weird thing about the software is that when I connect an external monitor to HDMI 1, the software doesn’t recognize the connection and I’m unable to use the software to easily switch between Mirrored and Extended display options. However, HDMI 2 does get recognized by the software and it’s just a click of a button to switch between Mirrored and Extended displays. The work around for HDMI 1 to switch to Extended Display is to change the computer system settings. A small annoyance but if you’re not going to be moving the hub around very often, ideally you’ll just have to set this up once. Another con is that the Micro SD slot lets the card slide in really far so it’s difficult to remove it. The work around is using a Micro SD to SD adapter. The Hyper USB-C Hub is working for my current setup and the little issues I ran into aren’t affecting my work flow so I’m getting great use out of this 10-in-1 Hub.

Wanted something that would allow me to display my MacBook on dual displays and when I saw this I jumped on it. First impression out of the box, it is a solid piece of equipment and feels well made. Pretty simple to use as it is plug and play for the most part. I did have to allow access in my MacBook settings but that took 20 seconds and was no big deal. Just remember to look for the hyper in your devices to launch the display app. This displayed well on my dual screen setup with no issues but I wanted to see how it would display on my 75 inch tv. Not sure if anyone will mention this but for me, this is where the unit really shines. As a photographer I do a lot of photo and video editing and using this for a few days I realize how much easier it is for me to edit on my TV. I can see details a lot more easily and find my editing is a lot better because of it. That brings me to another point. As a photographer I have to transfer files from my camera to my new MacBook Pro. The new MacBook no longer has standard usb drives which is terrible for me since I transfer to an external hard drive. With no where on the MacBook to connect to it became difficult. Thankfully the hyper had USB ports and every other port one may need making this an all in one tool for me. I do find the unit tends to get hot after a few minutes of use but I have it in a spot with plenty of ventilation so I don’t think it is a problem. This is an excellent tool for those with a MacBook Pro looking for any form of external display, dual or tv and are looking for port expansion. I will be using this for a long time to come.

The Hyper - Dual 4K HDMI 10-1 USB-C Hub is a solid choice for those workers and creators that need to expand the anemic port selection on most Mac laptops or to add even more ports to a monster gaming laptop. I had been hoping that my second 4k monitor would have shown up by now so that I could write a review on how well the hub handled two 4k monitors, but also how my MacBook Air and Legion Slim 7 did with dual monitors. Unfortunately, it would seem that the monitor is lost in the 'ether' and I should just write this now as is. This Hyper hub is super easy to set-up. You pop it out of the box, plug in the USB-C cable into one of the USB-C ports on your MacBook, click on the HYPERDISPLY icon, install the small file, and away you go! Or maybe not, if you are a knucklehead like me and just plug the computer end of the HDMI cable willy-nilly into the dock. If you have only one monitor, you have to plug it into HDMI 1, not 2. If you plug it into 2, you will get angry and wonder how the heck a simple hub or monitor can be so stupid. The electronics are not stupid, it is operator error! I'm not exactly sure what the software that's on the hub does for you because I am unable to select or change any of the settings in the app window (like the slip of instructions would seem to indicate is possible). Instead, I just make all the choices such as resolution, magnification, mirror/extend, in the Display menu under System Preferences. All the other ports work well too. I was able to plug in both a USB-C thumb drive as well as a USB-A thumb drive, both a MicroSD and regular SD card, as well as a power cable (all at the same time). I did not test the LAN port or the headphone jack, but I'm going to assume they work as well as the other ports. I will say that I was surprised at how warm the hub got when the power pass-through is used, especially since it wasn't powering anything off of the hub. It wasn't egregious, but it was pretty toasty! Bottom line is: if you need a solid workhorse of a port/monitor hub for your MacBook, don't look any further than the Hyper Dual 4k HDMI 10-in-1!

I'm writing this as I've had mixed experiences. I bought two of these for different computer setups and didn't want to keep switching between them. With one, this was one of the only Mac docks I could find that would allow me to use both display monitors and the laptop screen independent (essentially 3 monitors). It doesn't allow me to use it that way when I have it on my windows computer. I really have no complaints other than the second one I'd purchased stopped working a little over a year after purchase and of course, there's no warranty or anything to fix it. Seems rather pricey for something that I only got a little over a year of use out of and didn't travel or really leave my desk, so no instances where abuse could happen to it in that way.

Docking stations in general are a niche market. Apple Silicone Macs are even further limited with regard to docking issues. Then add in issues witb refresh rate limitations and you’re pretty much relegated to buying a Caldigit dock. For my setup i have two 1440p 144hz monitor. It seems like one display is passed throu from the mac s120hz and the other is at 60hz. But what is is awesome is both displays can run at 1440p every other dock i tried would downscale to 1080 to pas a signal to both monitors .Even the other viper hyperdrive docks would pass signal to only one monitor and this performance is the same on Windows. Price adjusted this must be one of the best docks available for this very narrow and specific use case. The inly con is the dock runs a bit hot. Think of ways to better dissipate heat. The build quality is solid. The aesthetic is nice. With pass through power and a great assortment of ports uncluding usb c. Would definitely recommend!

While I did return this, it was not for a negative reason. If you have the budget and are in need of 2 monitors with a Macbook Air M1 machine, I strongly recommend going with this option. It works perfectly for having dual monitors (including rotating one monitor vertically AND using in clamshell mode). I went with a less expensive option but this is solidly built and is definitely at the high end quality-wise

This does support dual 4k monitors via HDMI, however one is 60hz and one is 30hz. You also have to install an application in order for the second monitor to work. My hub tends to run a little hot. It does what it advertises.
