Works well for what I needed! The only issue is you can’t close the lid on your MacBook.

This device works flawlessly and adds all of the ports I was missing on my MacBook Pro M1 due to only having two usb-c ports. Im also able to hook up an external monitor via the HDMI out. The only flaw I think is the Ethernet port is pretty snug and a little hard to remove the cable once its been attached but it's not a deal breaker. It's definitely a solid build and matches the my MacBook perfectly.

Personally I dont plug it directly onto my MacBook, but use a wire to connect as that way it doesn’t block other ports. Pricing is fairly reasonable and you can leave external monitor and devices plugged into the hub instead of the MacBook so when you need to take your MacBook somewhere, you only need to unplug one thing.

Bought this for my new Macbook which replaced my old one from 2012. I love how small and easy this docking port is. You do have to be a little careful with it and remove it before moving your laptop around so you don't wear out the port connectors.

This is a great docking station for my Macbook Air. I have been using a Brydge and I have had a ton of trouble getting the screen to work so I switched to this little device and it's been smooth sailing. You can shut the laptop and just work off of an external monitor and keyboard, or can work with two screens pretty easily.

I will always love my MacBook. I just wish that Apple would realize some of us do have older tech that requires older connections. This hyperdrive works will all the newer MacBooks that use the mag charger. It gives me all the extra ports and connections I need

Having had an older MacBook Pro with older cables, I didn't want to go through the hassle and the cost of changing them. The DUO PRO offers a convenient means of sticking with your older cables while continuing to operate smoothly.

this USB-C hub works very well. The only problem is it doesn’t sit tightly and I have to use painters tape to hold it to the MacBook so that I don’t lose a connection.

I am not using it as much as I thought I would because 2023 MacBook Pro already came with hdmi port but I still use it occasionally. Fits nice and no issues so far.

Very useful adapter for my new MacBook Pro. Great variety of plug in options. Only criticism is that the SD card slot is so tight which concerns me and hopefully will not damage my SD cards. Time will tell.

I’ve only used it once. I don’t leave it on the laptop, I used it and put it back in the box for storage. I guess I can say it does the job.

I recently got the HyperDrive DUO PRO 7-in-2 USB-C Hub, and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed! Not only does it fit seamlessly with my gear, but the abundance of ports is an absolute game-changer for my setup. Gone are the days of juggling adapters and cables; this hub's got my back. Whether I'm charging, transferring files, or hooking up to an external display, it's all smooth sailing. Highly recommend to anyone looking to up their connectivity game! If there's any constructive feedback, it would be nice to have one more USB A port.

Add more I/O ports to your MBP or iPad

Appearance and fit are as-expected. I don't capability to validate the individual port performance. My MBP has an Urban Armor Gear case, so the attachment rails do not work. Removing the attachment rail, the hub will plug into the dual USB-C ports, although the leverage and twist would be quite significant on the computer ports and I would advise against it. My work around is to use 2 short USB-C Extension cables to plug into the hub. FWIW: the MBP display cannot be closed with the hub plugged into the ports while using the attachment rail.

    Compatibility with M2 Macbook Air

This USB C hub fits on the new M2 Macbook Air. The best part is that it does not cover the Magsafe port so that you can charge with Magsafe at the same time. However, with the black magnetic attachment, the Macbook will not close all the way. Therefore, I suggest removing the hub prior to closing your Macbook or always use the hub without the black magnetic attachment. Although the new M2 Macbook Air is thinner than the previous Macbooks, you don't have to worry about the thickness of the hub. The legs beneath the Macbook are still tall enough, so the hub never makes contact with whatever surface you're working on. My only problem is the cost of this USB C hub ($100). You could probably find another hub or dock at the same price which allows additional storage via an NVME drive. However, that would also compromise the portability of the hub as it would be larger and may also require some connection to power.
