It works, but it was difficult plugging flash drives and keyboards into the USB port, and even harder unplugging them. It might be because it's new, but I'm not sure.

If you're looking to use a Thunderbolt to DisplayPort monitor + charge your MacBook Pro, this is not the hub for you.
Hyper support quickly responded to my question as I was testing and informed me that I would need to use an HDMI monitor connection in order to use in tandem with the PD USB-C port. However, I use a high refresh monitor that requires a Display Port connection.
Horrendous Ethernet connection. Get ready for a stripped Ethernet cable tip.

The way they designed this, you cannot close your MacBook Air all the way when it is plugged in! Or, if you remove their plastic adapter, there is a gap and the device is not secure. Otherwise it is very high quality. Was not able to test the HDMI out, which is one of the reasons I purchased it.

The actual connection is not secure whatsoever. I have to have it at a certain spot and not flush to my MacBook. It says for the 2022 Mac, but for me, it doesn't fit with either adapter piece. Definitely would've just gotten a cheaper one if I knew this one wouldn't work correctly.

This is a great dock for the MacBook Pro M1/M1Pro series as it has one of the very few thunderbolt passthrough ports so you can hook up a USB C display which is how I use it. It would be nice if it had two USB ports but you can always convert the USB C to USB A with an adapter.

USB and Ethernet connections no longer work

I bought this item to provide an Ethernet and a standard USB connection, as my MacBook Pro only has USB-C ports. I received this product in September of 2022, and now in January of 2023, the standard USB and Ethernet connections no longer work. I would not recommend this product to anyone who needs a standard USB or Ethernet connection for their Macbook.

When I got the Hyper DUO PRO 7-in-2 USB-C Hub, I was very excited at what it would do. I would have a hub that would still allow me to connect my power and connect another device while allowing me to connect Ethernet and an HDMI monitor as well as more. In short, I wanted it to be a mini docking station. And while it does all of this, I have a problem with he device.
Connection of the DUO PRO is easy. You take it out of the box and connect it to the side of your MacBook. I connected this device to my MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018). The DUO PRO connects to the two USB-C ports on the side of the computer. Depending on the device, you choose between one of two attachment brackets which help give the device the best fit to your computer. The bracket goes along the top and bottom of the sides to give the DUO PRO a nice, secure fit. It is this bracket that I have the most problem with.
As I said I wanted to use this as a sort of docking port. The problem is the bracket then inhibits the ability to close the top of the computer completely. You can force it to be closed, but if you really want the computer to be handled the way it was made, you either must leave the computer open all the time or remove the DUO PRO every time you want to close the lid. This means removing the power connections and the other USB-C connection and putting them back into the computer to make sure it stays charged. This is just an annoying extra step to do every time with the computer.
For me, it would been better if the DUO PRO was made like other docking ports. Instead of having the whole block unit connect to the side of the MacBook Air, the block could have had a short 3-inch cord come out from the block which attached to the side of the computer. They would not have needed the extra bracket for stability, and people still could close the computer.
If closing the MacBook Air is not a big deal to you, this issue may be moot. But I did want to point it out because I think some will find this annoying.
As for the functionality of the DUO PRO, it works great. As computer manufacturers continue to provide sleek designs, more and more of the extra attachments are being left off of the baseline designs. The DUO PRO expands on the system. With one device, you can not have a hardline Ethernet connection as well as add an extra HDMI monitor. In addition, you get a traditional USB-A connection, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a MicroSD slot. You get all of this without losing your original two USB-C ports. All of this works to complement the MacBook Air and gives you all the connectivity you may need to work with.
One other point I will make with the DUO PRO is that the spacing of the ports on the device is very good. Some devices have ports that are too close to one other which makes using adjacent ports difficult at times. The DUO PRO offers enough spacing such that you should be able to connect to all ports at the same time if you desired without interference or blockage from other devices connected to the DUO PRO. This is a nice feature of this device.
In the end, I really have mixed reactions for the DUO PRO. On one hand, the device works extremely well. It expands the functionality of my MacBook Air by providing connectivity to more devices. However, the inability to close the lid of my MacBook does disappoint me a bit. I can shut it and leave the lid cracked a bit, but I am worried about doing inadvertent damage to the screen at some point. If you can look past this, I recommend the Hyper - DUO PRO 7-in-2 USB-C Hub. It works great to expand your system.

Review for:
Hyper - DUO PRO 7-in-2 USB-C Hub MacBook 2016 through 2022 MacBook Pro/MacBook Air.
I wanted to like the Hyper 7-in-2 just for its compact, space-efficient design. My older (2018) MacBook Pro never seems to have enough ports for all the widgets I want to plug into it, so this seemed like a good idea. It uses up two of the ports (hence the seven in two) together with a magnet to hold the hub to the MacBook. This is my first problem. The magnet is strong but seemingly not strong enough. It’s very easy to lose the connection with the MacBook if you wiggle any of the cables connected to the hub. Sometimes it literally falls off the laptop with very little effort, other times it just wiggles loose enough to lose your connections without being obviously disconnected. That said, the ports themselves are actually pretty great! I really like being able to use wired Ethernet when I’m working from home; it’s much faster and more dependable than WiFi. The port has a little pop up hinge that makes connecting and disconnecting the Ethernet cable super fast and easy. The USB-C port is great for charging my phone. Although I know they fallen from favor, I really prefer using my wired over-the-ear headphones when I’m working from home. I don’t have to worry about charging them and the connection is always good, so the 3.5 mm combo jack works great for me. Finally, the full-size HDMI port makes it easy to connect my extra monitor. I may play around with the connection of the hub a bit more to see if I can find a way to make it more dependable, but I had to ding the hub one star for this.
