This HyperDrive hub balances portability, functionality, and build quality. The packaging was thoughtful and tidy, with a clean design. It had a picture of the device right on the front, which may seem like a small thing, but it helps give you a sense of what you’re unpacking. Everything was neatly placed inside, and the information provided was clear and easy to follow. I was pleasantly surprised - it was smaller and more compact than I had thought. It’s incredibly lightweight and slim, easily fitting into the side pocket of my laptop sleeve or even a jacket pocket. If you’re someone who’s always on the go—working remotely, traveling, jumping between coffee shops and co-working spaces—this is a great hub to have. It includes HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C ports all in one streamlined body, which gives you a lot of flexibility. I’ve used all of them in different ways: the USB-A port is perfect for my portable flash drive and also for connecting a wired headset when I don’t want to rely on Bluetooth. Meanwhile, the HDMI port allows me to easily connect to external displays or TVs, which is super helpful whether I’m giving a presentation or just watching a movie on a larger screen. The USB-C port offers fast data transfer and charging, so I don’t lose productivity waiting for devices to sync up or power up. There's no lag, no overheating, no connectivity dropouts—just smooth, reliable performance. There’s also a handy little indicator light on the device. At first, I didn’t think much of it—but I’ve come to really appreciate it. That subtle glow lets me know that the hub is connected and functioning without having to guess. It’s a small touch, but it adds to the overall ease of use. I also like that the light isn’t too bright or distracting; it’s just enough to be informative without being annoying. Visually, the design is sleek and minimalist. It doesn’t scream for attention but feels like a natural extension of my setup. I also appreciate the plug-and-play nature of it. There’s no need to install drivers or mess around with settings. Just plug it into a USB-C port and it’s ready to go. Considering the build quality, the port selection, the portable design, and the overall performance, I highly recommend this hub.

I stopped using this after my laptop started glitching, flickering, and running harder than it needed to. I am not sure what the cause was, or if this had anything to do with it. But I quit using it, cleaned my laptop, and now I don't have issues anymore. I admit that it might not be this Hub's fault, but it also might be. Hence, 3 stars.

A device like this 5-port USB-C hub should be part of any laptop-user’s arsenal of devices. Laptop computers nowadays are often limited in the number and types of ports they feature. I’ve seen some with only two USB-C ports and headphone jack, and one of those USB-C ports is taken up by connection to the power supply, leaving only one usable port. Most laptops I’ve seen and used have at least one USB-C and one older-style USB-2 port plus headphone jack. It seems that fewer and fewer feature an HDMI port to connect an external monitor, something that is pretty much a must for anyone using their laptop for presentations. Many of us still have legacy devices, such as mice, full-size keyboards, or external hard drives where we might have photos or other important files stored or backed up, that we still use regularly and want to continue to use, and so being able to add older style ports to a modern laptop is a must. Coming to the rescue are devices like this hub. Hubs like this have been around for many years, and I have owned and still own several. They have evolved over time to include the more modern ports as the newer types of ports came into widespread use. This particular hub is very handy in this regard. You plug it in to a USB-C port on your computer, and it gives you two USB-C ports, one of which is powered, two older-style rectangular USB-3 ports (the ones with the blue tab inside), one of which is powered to 1.5 V, and an HDMI port for external connection of a monitor. There is no setup process at all. Just plug it in to your computer, and it is immediately recognized and ready to use. These hubs are not expensive, and it is worth the while of any laptop owner to pick one up and keep it in his or her laptop case or backpack along with their mouse, extra batteries, etc. This Hyperdrive Flex hub would fit the bill nicely.

So typically I wouldn't have much to say about a USB hub. It either works well or it doesn't, and it either looks funky or professional. That said, I had a bit of an entertainment emergency last night, and this USBC hub saved the day. My daughter and I were watching a movie on Netflix. When the Internet went out. We still had power, but I didn't have any mobile hotspot left on my phone. I do, however, have unlimited streaming to my phone. In desperation, I tried something, and it worked better than I could have imagined. First, I connected the USBC hub to my Google pixel phone. I didn't have much battery, so I then plugged the charging cable that normally went into my phone into one of the USBC ports on the hub. I was worried about this working, but almost immediately my cell phone was charging. Now we weren't going to run out of charge while watching. Then I ran an HDMI cable from the hub to my television and then selected the mirroring option on my phone. We immediately were able to watch our show without using data and without the need for Wi-Fi in the house. This is a great USBC hub, it's as flexible as they come, and it's compact for portability, which I always appreciate. I typically end up using these with my laptop when on the go, not usually at home. That the light on it is a bit bright and a bit large. I wish there was a way to turn it off, but other than that it's a wonderful device.

The Hyper - Hyperdrive Flex 5 arrived with no issues and there were setup involved other than plugging it in. It's a nice and sleek design which is light weight and easy to handle. This make it perfect for being on the go like I am with being on call 24/7. The device a 100W USB-C slot to charge your laptop along with 4 additional stops. There are two USB-A slots, 1 HDMI slot, and 1 more regular USB-C slot. The hyperdrive connects to your devices through a USB-C cord that's attached. The ports are sturdy and secure. I tested them all and didn't feel like any of the ports were lose or that the cord would easily come out. I'm using it to charge my laptop at the moment and it's seems to be working just the same as the charging cord that came with the laptop. I have used the USB-C ports to charge my wireless gaming headset and my portable power bank with no issues. I used the USB-A port to charge my older iPhone and it charged just as quickly as my regular charger that came with my phone. So far I've had no issues with the device. It does get warm, but other than that it works a charm. There are no loud humming noices and anything like that either. I would highly recommend.

Convenient and compact 5-Port USB-C Hub!

The Hyper - HyperDrive Flex 5 Port USB-C Hub is a compact and convenient USB Hub. I recently purchased a new laptop, but I didn't realize it only had one USB-A port. I have a printer, disc drive and wireless keyboard that all take a USB-A port, so I was suddenly having to share that one port with all three devices and swap them out. This was not convenient and problematic when I wanted to use two at the same time. This HyperDrive Flex 5 works perfect for me. I don't have a lot of room on my computer desk, so I love the fact it is small and doesn't take a lot of space. I can now use it to connect all my devices and still have extra ports to spare for future devices I want to connect. There is no set up required, just take it out of the box and plug it into a USB-C port on your computer, using the attached USB-C cable, and you now have five extra ports available. The HyperDrive Flex 5 comes with the following ports: - An HDMI 4K30Hz port - Two USB- A ports - A standard USB-C port - a USB-C 100W PD port It also comes with a two year limited warranty. If you are in need of expanding the available ports on your laptop, I recommend the HyperDrive Flex 5 Port USB-C Hub.

With the current (and not necessarily welcome) trend of more and more newer computers coming standard with fewer and fewer connection ports, this small device can be a real life saver when you're got more devices that you'd like to plug into those fewer and fewer connection ports. When plugged into your host laptop or desktop computer's USB C port, this device converts that single built-in USB C port into five connection ports (there are two USB C ports, two USB A ports and finally, there's one HDMI port for connecting an external monitor). There are no additional drivers or any operating software needed to make this device work; you simply plug it in and it's ready to go. And it's small enough and light enough that you can simply throw it into your travel bag without taking up much room or adding any noticeable additional weight when you're going on the road. You just might be glad you brought it along when you get to your destination and find that your office away from home has several devices that you'd like to connect to your computer at the same time. That won't be a problem when you have this handy device in your bag. Definitely recommend.

I picked this usb-c hub up because I needed one for traveling and the other one I have had to stay at home. This met my needs with hdmi, two usb-a and 2 usbc. I habe 2 others that have sd slots and not the hdmi and 3 usb-a that work well for my gaming laptops. I use the hdmi connection more with presentations and this worked right away with the projector I connected my laptop to. Video was smooth, no flickering or low signal issues. This also worked out my phone usb-c when I was messing around at the hotel streaming things out hdmi. I had the cable, I had the hub and a TV. I kept up with my latest TV shows when I wad gone. The price point is comoetative. The build is plastic, not as light as the 2 hubs I have, and a good soft feel/grip to it. It will be a bit slide resistant also the cable thickness is pretty good. The conections are snug and do not fall out, nor so tight you have to shove hard to get in. My unit is white and blue, easy to find in my bag of black cables. I have nothing I can fault this product for, it worked for me, does what it says.

You've got one of those sleek, new laptops or tablets with just a few of those modern, oval-shaped ports, right? They look great, but it's a pain when you want to plug in your trusty old USB drive, a big monitor, or even a wired internet connection. That's where a connectivity expander comes in. Think of this little gadget as a miniature docking station in your pocket. You just plug this small, metallic box into one of your device's oval-shaped ports, and suddenly you unlock a whole world of connections: A port for your big screen: This lets you hook up your TV, a larger computer monitor, or a projector for super clear pictures. A couple of regular old USB ports: These are for all your classic gear—your everyday USB sticks, your comfortable mouse, or your favorite keyboard. A clever power pass-through port: Here's a neat trick—you can plug your device's charger into this expander, and it'll send that power through to your laptop or tablet. So, you don't lose a valuable port just for charging up! A dedicated internet port: If your Wi-Fi is flaky or you need a super-fast, rock-solid internet connection, you can plug in a standard internet cable here. Who It's Great For This expander is ideal for: Users of streamlined devices: If your laptop or tablet is super thin and doesn't have many different types of ports, this device is a lifesaver. People on the go: It's small enough to toss into your bag, ensuring you always have the right connections no matter where you're working or studying. Anyone needing multiple connections: Want to hook up an external monitor, a keyboard, a mouse, and charge your device all at once? This lets you do it with just one cable going into your computer. Things to Keep in Mind It might get a little warm: When you're using a lot of its features, especially if you're charging your device and running a monitor, it's normal for it to feel a bit warm. That annoying light: Some users find the indicator light on these expanders to be too bright or distracting, especially in a dark room. It's often a minor annoyance, but worth noting. Specific device limitations: While it generally works with most modern computers, if you have a very specific type of newer machine and you absolutely need to connect two external monitors at the same time, this type of expander often won't handle that. You'd typically need a larger, more specialized version. Charging considerations: It generally handles charging well, but don't expect it to super-charge your device if you're also plugging in a bunch of power-hungry accessories. Ultimately, this connectivity expander is a really handy little tool for anyone looking to add essential ports to their modern laptop or tablet. It's a simple, plug-and-play solution that adds a lot of functionality without taking up much space.

The Hyper - HyperDrive Flex 5 Port USB-C Hub is sleek and has a modern look. It came well packaged so no worries about damage. It has 5 ports - a HDMI port, 2 USB-A ports, 1 USB-C port and a USB-C passthrough port. It was this port that interested me as I was hoping this was something I could use when traveling to power my laptop without having to bring all the paraphernalia with me. I've tried other passthroughs that just didn't deliver. With the HyperDrive Flex 5, I found one that does. My travel laptop does not hold a charge for very long - I get about 4 hours with it, so I needed something that would charge fast. This does. I found no difference between charging the laptop with the Flex than I do charging it with its normal charger which means I can charge it for about ten minutes and get an hours worth of power. Even better, I can charge other devices at the same time so it is great for travel as all the devices I need can charge while I sleep and I don't have to prioritize which one I need more. It even worked well with the powerbank I carry with me so I always know I'll have some power when I need it.

This USB hub is an excellent performer and a great value. With two USB-A 3.2 1.5 Gbps ports, two USB-C 3.2 1.5 Gbps hi speed ports, and a 4k 30 Hz resolution HDMI port this is a great companion to a laptop computer, especially one that has only 2 USB-C ports. This hub provides plenty of expansion to add USB drives, a mouse and keyboard, and a second or third display. Or really, anything that can connect to a USB port. All the ports can provide adequate DC power for most devices. The USB-C ports and provide up to 100 watts total while the USB-A ports can provide 85 watts total. One of the USB-C ports is also a Power Delivery (PD). The device is well constructed out of nicely finished plastic. The "++" logo on the corner of the device lights up when the unit is receiving power from the host. The host cable is 13-1/2 inches long and is sturdy at both ends. It should last for a long time. For a very reasonable price you get a sturdy and capable device that can greatly expand the usefulness of your computer.
