The Hyperboot by Nike x Hyperice are a great tool to use for warming up prior to workouts or athletic events and for recovery afterwards, using both heat and dynamic compression massage technology. I've been using these boots for the past week and following are my observations:
- The Hyperboots are a nice looking design, easy to put on and comfortable to wear. They are well-made, of good quality materials. Considering the size of the boots, they are much lighter weight than I thought they'd be. They come with the boots, instructions, a dual USB to USB-C charging cord and multiple charging blocks to work in the U.S. or multiple other country's electrical outlets.
- The Hyperboots are very easy to use. Simply loosen the Velcro to slip them on. Turn on the power and select one of three levels of heat with the heat button, and one of three levels of compression with the compression button, then hit the start/pause button to start a session. It is recommended to wear socks that extend beyond the top of the boot while using.
- You can also use the Hyperice App to connect to the boots via Bluetooth, which allows you to download any updates, and you can use the App to set your heat and compression levels, and start and stop a session. While a normal session using the buttons on the boot will go for 15 minutes, using the App you can also extend the sessions.
- One of my favorite features is that these are wearable boots. You can sit, stand or walk around with them on, while you are using them. This is great because instead of having to sit around while waiting for a session to complete, I can do other things. When I first get up in the morning, I like to put them on while getting prepared for a morning workout, or do other stretching while these warm up my ankles, feet and lower calf areas. They are also TSA approved for carry-on if you want to travel with them.
- Most of the heat and compression takes place around your ankles and Achilles areas. I really notice how loose that area feels at the end of a session, prior to working out. You can experiment with the settings you like the best. I've found I like to use the both heat and compression on the medium setting to warm up before working out. The compression massage also helps the heat to penetrate into your muscles. After the workout, I like to use the compression massage only, typically on the medium level and I might extend that session on the low level also. The compression massage feels great after your workout. Again, its great I can put them on and walk around to get things done while the massage is taking place. If I had to sit down and wait for the post-workout massage to complete, I'd probably be the type to skip it, but being able to do the recovery massage while multi-tasking is very convenient.
Overall, I'm really enjoying these new Hyperboots and I'd recommend them to athletes or anyone who works out.

Upon opening the box, these look like like something Marty McFly would have worn in back to the Future! The design and appearance is wild! You can tell by both looks and feel that Nike and Hyperice, they didn't spare any expense in concept and design. It has these two circular rings on the velcro straps that lock your foot in and Hyperice and Nike logos in different places around the boot. Because these are battery powered I think one thing that would put these boots over the top would've been to have all of these logos and rings illuminated in a cool light blue that Nike often uses when these are turned on that capture even more attention.
These hyperboots are made for the true athletes in mind. With heat for accelerated warm up as well as recovery in training who or wanting the best of the best.
What other training boot do you know of that has illuminated quick buttons on the boot itself for fast adjustment on the go or you can do it through the Hyperice app that allows to change multiple levels of heat or the Normatec air compression to finely tune these boots to each user's exact preference. It also has a power button and a play and pause button.
Normatec is a leader in the field of athletes recovery and compression to combining that with heat forces the heat into your muscles helping drastically with warm up and recovery. Sheer genius combination.
A little bit more specifics about wearing the boots, they have three air compression settings and three heat settings. For me the highest heat setting, 125 degrees Fahrenheit, was very hot so I would definitely advise wearing some thicker high on the ankle socks
They feel amazing wearing wearing them, they are bulky and a little awkward to walk in but for their purpose these the best you can get. The price of these I dont any regular level athlete is going to pay almost $900 dollars for these you're the type who loves high tech devices but for upper level athletes I think this is for you
Would highly recommend for sneaker head where price is no matter or upper level athletes who can afford these
