Calf Muscle Treatment on the Go!

I wasn't sure what to expect from these, and my athletic career is squarely in the rear-view mirror, so I let a family member who is an athlete put them through their paces. They play in a Jugger league, it's kind of a mix of field hockey and rugby, but with soft and safe swords/shields/chains. So, a lot of running, starting and stopping, and dropping down on the ground and back up quickly. I got them unboxed and charged up. The two units synch together, so whatever you set on one of them, it will do the same thing on the other one at the exact same time, as long as both units are powered on. You can set the duration and the intensity. It was described to me as like a good manual massage on your calves, starting at the bottom and going up your calf and repeating for the duration. The highest intensity is 7 and it is pretty strong, think like painful response as a tight muscle is squeezed out to looseness from tightness. My athlete definitely could tell the difference after doing 15-minute intensity 7 sessions after each practice for a week. Really helped with recovery. The wrap style to fit most calf sizes works very well. The units charge pretty quickly. And you can get about 4 or 5 15-minute sessions on intensity 7 on one charge. The portability of these are outstanding, can use them on the go anywhere you need to. This is a very well-made product and very easy to use and understand. It does it's job very well and will definitely be in the travel bag for the next tournament, which should really help with performance on the 2nd day of the scheduled matches.

I ordered this for my father . He changed his mind - I’ve had total tech since 2018. The girl at the register changed the total tech name to Christina as I spend thousands each ninth here- a new account with Bo total tech. Now I am unable to return this item even for store credit. Very disappointed and frustrated.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that these are paired out of the box so if you want to make adjustments to the intensity or duration, you only need to adjust one of the units for the changes to take effect on both. Unfortunately the battery packs don't detach from the leg wraps so charging takes up more space than is convenient. You'll get 2-3 hours of use between charges and there's a handy battery level indicator on the front of each battery pack. The leg wraps use some sort of micro-velcro (not sure how to describe it) and it feels really premium. Because it's mostly textureless, you won't get the annoying accumulation of lint/string that you get with conventional velcro. It takes a little practice to wrap them evenly and perfectly each time. This might not bother some people, but if compression on one leg doesn't match the other, it bugs me and I have to stop, readjust, restart. Walking with the wraps is a mixed bag. They stay in place if compression is on, but when it goes into the decompression cycle, the wraps are likely to fall too low and you'll need to quickly readjust/sit down before it goes back into the compression cycle. Overall, the Normatec Go seem to have improved my circulation. Those of you who spend long hours at a desk will appreciate this benefit.

    Air compression massager

The Hyperice Normatec Go retails for $399 MSRP. Yes they may seem expensive at first but I do have to say they are worth the price. Out of the box, you get the 2 compression sleeves, 2 USB-C chargers, and 2 USB-C charging cables. A few specs: each sleeve has a USB-C charging port, each sleeve has a pretty big velcro area for a big variety of leg sizes and for a snug fit, 7 levels of compression, as well as a variety of time durations, the batteries last about 3 hours of use, and it takes about 2 hours to charge from no charge. Now for my experience. I was pretty skeptical trying these at first. I have heard of other Normatec devices and only heard good things about them. When I tried first time, it felt like a weird massage. Kinda like a blood pressure cuff inflating and deflating over and over and at different points of my leg. I really didn't think much trying these at first. It was a nice massage. The next day, I went on a 10 mile hike and my feet were killing me at the end of it. I used the Normatec Go for an hour. Afterwards, my legs were refreshed and back to normal. It is very hard to describe the experience. But it is like having a massager just for my lower legs whenever I need it. Plus these are portable and not very cumbersome at all.

These are supposed to provide uniform pressure on my legs. Instead, the pressure seas uneven. The concept is good, but execution wasn’t as advertised…

Hi there! The Normatec Go specifically targets the calf muscles as that is the most important muscle in the leg when it comes to blood circulation. The compression on this device might differ a bit from our full Normatec 3 Leg system which covers your full leg. The Normatec Go designed as a companion to the Normatec Leg System, not a replacement for it. The Normatec Go is best used at times where you don't have time to sit down for a full Leg System session, or if you travel somewhere it's impractical to bring the Leg System.

If you do feel like the compression is not working as it should though, please contact our team at [email protected] and one of our agents would be happy to troubleshoot and provide a resolution!

    Great portable leg massagers!

The Hyperice Normatec Go provides a great, targeted massage for your calf muscles using dynamic air compression. Following are my observations from testing out the Normatec Go: - The Normatec Go includes a lightweight pair of sleeves that are fully portable and mobile, plus they are TSA approved. - They are extremely easy to set up. After charging the sleeves, you download the Hyperice App. The units easily sync up to the app via Bluetooth. You can do a firmware update from the app. Mine needed a quick update before I started, which only took less than a minute. Once this was done, I just put on the sleeves and controlled the pressure and time settings right from the app. You can also perform the same controls via buttons on both of the sleeves if you choose not to use the app. - The sleeves come synced with each other, so when you run a session the two sleeves run the same massage pattern on both legs. - You can increase or decease the pressure on the massage to your liking. You can also set the timer for sessions of 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. - When running a session, the Normatec Go runs through a repeating massage pattern using air compression, starting at the bottom by the ankle and working its way up your calf and then starting over again. - I have poor circulation in my legs and they can be sore and tired after spending a day sitting in my office or if I have to do a lot of walking and standing. I've been using the Hyperice Normatec Go for a nightly massage for the past week and it feels so good on my sore legs. They feel fresh when I am done and I feel like its helping me get a second wind for the night after completing the massage. I recommend the Normatec Go for anyone with sore legs, poor circulation or athletes with sore muscles, as the massage it gives your calves is very easy and effective.

Whether you're a super athlete or the average person who enjoys being somewhat active, if your legs feel super tired, sluggish, and a bit swollen, I highly recommend the Hypervice Normatec Go! Living in NYC, traveling to and from the office is a workout, let alone putting extra time doing light cardio workouts. And although I have the Normatec 2 legs and use it almost 2-3 times a week, it's just not portable, and sometimes putting it on is also a chore. So when Normatec Go came out, I knew I had to try it, especially with upcoming travel plans where I knew having the portability would be a huge win. At first, I was a bit hesitant about how well the Normatec Go would be since the tiny device would have to pump air to compress my calves. However, the dynamic air compression system exceeded my expectations, and the strength and massage intervals/sequence were well executed. My legs feel less sore and a little lighter whenever I use the device. In terms of battery life, it's done pretty well! For the last 4-5 days, while switching between a level 4 or 5 for 30 to 45 minutes, the battery remains at least 20-40% full. And unlike its chunky cousin, the Normatec Go can easily be recharged via USB-C (included). The sleeves are made of high-quality materials, and the velcro is stitched and sticks well. I had no issues using the device, even at a higher setting. Lastly, I loved that the two sleeves can act as a stand-alone device or paired together. I was also impressed by how well the devices synced up without delay and worked with and without the suggested app. I'm excited about bringing the Normatec Go on my future travels!

    Excellent Device For Aching Legs

The Hyperice Nomatec Go is a dynamic air compression targeted massage device for your legs. It comes in two paired wrap-around velcro equipped leg compression devices that work very much like the blood-pressure measurement devices you and I are familiar with. Before using, they should be charged using the two USB-like chargers/plugs. The devices are very easy to use and come with an easy to follow manual. After chaging them for the first time, I wrapped them around each leg and had to re-wrap them as I hadn't made them tight enough to stay around my legs. Once I'd correctly wrapped them around each leg, I turned them on and they began tightening beginning on my lower legs. The purpose of this is to reduce any pain, fatigue or tension in your legs via 7 levels of customizable compression. The compression increased and decreased tension slowly moving upward on both legs to the calves. It is like a slow massage of your legs, both at the same time. At first you think it is going to hurt but stops at the point you have set the compression amount to. It does take a small bit of time to get used to the compression effect but becomes quite enjoyable once you have adjusted it to your liking and gotten used to the device. After my initial setup and trial of the Normatec Go unit, I had my wife try them out. She walks 5+ miles several times a week and immediately loved the compression tension massage! I wonder if I'll ever get them back from her?

I keep looking for something to dislike about these Hyperice Normatec Go compression sleeves but I just can’t find anything! These are absolutely amazing and within a few days they became a part of my bedtime routine. The packaging and presentation upon first opening was stellar and impressed me. The sleeves charged quickly on their first charge and seem to charge quickly since then. I also love that they are USB C charging so in a pinch I can use my phone charger or portable charger to give them a boost. I saw the small and simple manual mentioned having to pair the two devices together so they are in sync, but mine did not even need pairing, they work together flawlessly. It's nice that you can choose your settings on one of the devices and the other side will match automatically, you do not need to adjust settings on both prior to starting a session, huge plus! In our household we have a wide range of leg situations. I personally sit at a desk all day which tends to take a toll on my legs and circulation, giving me restless legs often, but I also work out 3-4 times a week and can have sore legs at least once a week. It seems like no matter what kind of day I have, either stuck sitting at a desk all day or a big workout, or both in one day, these compression sleeves make a night and day difference. When I take the sleeves off before bed my legs feel so relaxed and the tension is nearly gone. These Hyperice sleeves do exactly what they say they do, and they do it well. I find the relief similar to the feeling of using a percussive massage gun, but also combined with a deep massage because of the compression, and all over, not just in the spots you hit with a massage gun. My mother is on her feet about ten to eleven hours a day, has very bad varicose veins, and is on medication for restless legs. I made sure she put these sleeves through the ringer because I wanted her to find relief, and thankfully she did. She uses them before bed as I do, and she noticed she falls asleep better, and does not get woken up from restless legs. I am so glad I found her something that helps. These devices are great for athletes but they certainly are not only for athletes. There are plenty of people in many different situations that can benefit from these which is why I’d absolutely recommend these to anyone, literally anyone. I am in love with them!

I came across this product, I kid you not, the day after seeing the orthopedic surgeon for Achilles tendinitis that the doctor said he is 95% sure is caused by overtight calf muscles. I already have a percussion massage gun, but it is hard to get a good massage on my calf with it because it bounces around too much to get a good, sustained massage. This works PERFECTLY for that! I have been using it every evening before bed for 15 minutes, and I've noticed a lot less Achilles pain and a much more relaxed calf on that leg compared to my other leg which I've not been using it on. The battery life on the sleeves is great - I've used it for 15 minutes on level 5 (out of 7) every night since I got it (4 nights) and the battery life is only half depleted. It connects to the app very easily, and you can control it with and without the app. The only thing I would change (as an improvement, honestly), is to add a heating element to it, to go along with the massage. I think that would help a lot (at least for my case) to help further loosen the calf muscles. Totally would recommend!

I wasn't sure before using the Hyperice Normatec Go how well they would really work. After a week of use, I'm impressed. They feel very well made. I don't get the feeling they will fall apart anytime soon. Battery life is great. The battery/control pack on each one also feel well made and are easy to read and understand. I like the fact that once you turn each one on individually, you can control both from just one unit. No worries about the velcro-like material coming loose while wearing them. They hold incredibly tight. In use, it might take a few tries to find just the right amount of tightness that you need to put them on with. They basically go on much like a blood pressure cuff. I suggest a little bit of experimenting with the pressure settings. They go from 1-7. I've found 5 to be a good number. 7 is pretty intense, but it could be what you need. They pressurize in a pattern. It doesn't just keep inflating & deflating. A lot of thought seems to have gone into how to best massage your leg. We've used them after work outs, long days at work & long walks. I can honestly feel the difference! I can see where these would help for people with leg circulation issues as well. This is one of those things you might not think you need, but you will wonder how you lived without them. Highly recommended!

Great pain relief for your legs

The Normatec Go from Hyperice is a great device for refreshing your lower legs. Everyone in the family has used them and loves them. First is a description of what they are. They are devices that you wrap around your lower leg. They inflate and deflate at a pressure and for a time that you select, providing compression massaging. There are of course 2 of these in the set, along with a dual USB charger and 2 USB cables. Each of them consists of a wrap with a huge amount of velcro, to fit legs of just about any size. They each also have a control unit with a rechargeable lithium battery, the buttons, battery indicator, an LED screen showing the level and time of the session, and a USB port to plug the recharging cables into. The buttons consist of a button to change between the 7 pressure levels, a button to set the length of the session, a start/stop button, and a power button. They also have an app that can be downloaded for Android or IOS and works with the entire Hyperice product line. In the case of the Normatec Go, it is a simple remote control that allows you to connect to the devices and adjust the time and intensity. You can also start and pause your therapy sessions with the app. While the app has a lot of other capabilities, they are really only used if you have other Hyperice devices. As I previously stated, everyone in the family uses them. My wife’s only complaints are that we don't have enough of them and that she would love it if they made something that would do this to her whole body, because her legs feel so good after a session. It really helps with circulation and pain relief. I highly recommend them.

The product is beyond simple to use (especially when compared to the full leg version - version 1) from a long time ago. That is seriously a huge plus. The downside is that I am not getting the results - for me it just might be my calves don't have enough lactic acid to make this worth it. I have tried this after biking, rowing, walking (a lot), and lifting and the results are not t here. I could see how people see this as being valuable for recovery - air compression feels wonderful - but this small version just doesn't' cut it. I get better recovery results from the full leg version and from smaller theragun mini massage gun. My feeling is that the full leg version gets your quads and hamstrings - which i think is where you get the biggest ROI. The massage gun is great for targeted treatments

Thank you for the review, and sorry the device did not suit your needs! It is understandable that you feel like you are getting better recovery results from the Normatec Leg System in comparison to the Normatec Go. The Normatec Go designed as a companion to the Normatec Leg System, not a replacement for it. The Normatec Go is best used at times where you don't have time to sit down for a full Leg System session, or when traveling somewhere it's impractical to bring the complete Normatec Leg System.

The Normatec Go will target the calf muscles which are critical to blood circulation. The calf muscle is often considered the second heart as it plays an important role within the circulatory system of the body. Targeted dynamic air compression massage on the calves is scientifically proven to significantly reduce inflammation and pain and increase circulation throughout your entire lower body. This is how we are able to get similar benefits to our full Normatec System in a smaller, more convenient package!
