I love how it holds a constant temperature. It really feels so much better after using it. I like to alternate between cold and hot but I can only get 4 15 minute therepy sessions in before I have to charge it. Then it takes hours to change. If it charged faster that would make up for it. I just want to use it more often because of how well it works.

A good substitute for ice packs and ice therapy on the knee. Also can warm very effectively. The portability and the ability to use this without having to hook it up to any sort of fluid sources really and advantage. This does not replace medical grade and heat therapy devices but it comes pretty darn close.

Does a great job of heating/cooling my knee. Fairly expensive and doesn't have the longest battery life is the reason for the 1 star dock.

    Hot or Cold?

More convenient and just as cold as ice packs. I can get two back-to-back 20 minute sessions using the coldest setting before needing to recharge the battery. It does do warm, hot, and contrast (hot/cold). Personally I find lowest heat setting far too hot on the skin - a fabric layer might be needed to reduce hot areas on the knee.

Have been eyeying the Hyperice X for a while as i had meniscus surgery a couple months ago. I initially wanted to use it for recovery from the surgery but everyone seemed to say it didnt get very cold so i ended up passing on it. Purchased it recently on a whim. After using it for a while it definitely gets plenty cold. It gets as cold as an ice pack in my opinion and plenty hot as well. It has really helped me with recovering after golfing and lifting weights. Its definitely a bit pricey but worth the cost in my opinion. The only knock id give it is that it should probably come with more extenders. As someone with large legs the default extenders arent big enough. Fortunately i contacted hyperice and they’re sending me some more extenders for free.

Purchased this at the beginning of November. It worked well for the first week. After the second of using the contrast mode the device began turning off and giving an error code of temp error. Even uninstalled and re-installed the app and after the device was on for a short amount of time the same error code was up again and the device was not usable. We have multiple devices from this company and are very satisfied. We returned this defective unit and are awaiting the new X. I have to believe it was just a one off on the one we purchased, since I did the home work and had seen no previous issues of this type. I will re-evaluate the new one and update. I still stand behind this company and when the x was working it is definitely a game changer for at home therapy when needed. Let’s wait and see how the new one performs, it will get a work out as well due to a knee injury that we will be using it for. Thank you to Best Buy for standing behind their warranty program! Hyperice is a great product just fell on a bad device on this one we purchased. I have faith the new one will work great. This is the only reason it is rated a 3 star, because of the faulty device we received. Otherwise this would easily make a 5 star rating.

I've used this for a few snowboarding trips over the last year and a half and it works great. Perfect if you don't have access to ice and heat for sore/swolen knees. When I first got it back in 2021 it didn't work right. It wouldn't hold a charge (had to keep it plugged in to work) and bluetooth kept dropping. After Hyperice issued a few firmware updates it made a big difference and no more issues. Full battery will typically run 2 sessions and that's enough for me. I can even charge it overnight, throw it in the SUV then use it sitting in the car on the drive back after a day on the slopes.

The Hyperice X contrasting therapy knee brace is a great option because it is convenient and it relieves my muscle soreness. The brace is an impromptu heating and ice pad minus the fridge or the cord. The heat gets very warm, while the cold could be colder. I wish the brace was functional, so that I could multi-task instead of having to sit and elevate, like I actually should. Finally, I wish the battery would last longer. On avg I get around 2 -20 min sessions.

This is an amazing device. I still get stiffness and some swelling from a knee surgery. Obviously this will not take the place of ice, but it does get amazingly cool for something that has no water or electricity running through it. I especially like the contrast program that switches between hot and cold. It will go from cold to hot in under a minute. If you are an athlete and can afford the price, I highly recommend it

I've been struggling with knee pain and swelling for quite some time now, which often makes it challenging to maintain an active lifestyle. However, I recently came across the Hyperice X Knee Contrast Therapy Device, and it's been effective. I use it before and after my exercise routine, and I've noticed reduced pain and swelling. The contrast therapy between hot and cold treatments is incredibly effective, and it's straightforward to use. What's more, it integrates with Apple Health, which makes tracking progress a breeze. Overall, I'd highly recommend this product to anyone dealing with knee discomfort.

My boyfriend bought this item for my parents. My parents love it. They like it that it has some preset for easy start or they can modify the temperature. The downside is it lasts about 2 hours. The app is easy to use.

Works as desired, very portable. I only wish the battery lasted longer. You need to charge it after about every 2 uses. It’s unfortunate that Bluetooth via app is the only way to use it (harder for older people) and it is on the pricey side.

This has been a nice unit to have instead of icing. 31 y/o, 6’3 230 lbs and train weights / run regularly and have intermittent swelling problems ever since a meniscus tear / repair 10+ years ago and this helps out when it flares up. Can’t use under blankets and I just leave it plugged in if I can, as I like using it for long sessions.
