Love it! Well built, heavy. Keys stay "dry" somehow while gaming if you develop a little bit of sweat, unlike other keyboards.

I can understand how many people would get easily frustrated with the software that appears to have never been updated. It is a bit of a challenge to learn how to make the lights look or react a certain way. I'm an old man and I love simplicity. It took me a minute to make each row from left to right look a certain way that I want it. It's easily frustrating for today's younger generation for sure who inevitably, but understandably in this particular case, want it done in 2 minutes. It actually should be very easy. So will regard to the software, hyper is definitely behind. The keyboard is solid, has great weight, I wish it came with its own wrist rest. That would have been great. And the lights are stunning. The brightest I've ever seen and I have had Corsair, Razer, and Roccat. These are the brightest I have seen to date. Typing is smooth as silk, and the keys feels sturdy.

    Long Term Review

I have owned and used this keyboard almost every single day since I purchased it in Jan. 2024 I believe. First let me say this is an amazing keyboard with only on tiny gripe. The good: Came packaged in a nice thick and sturdy box. The keyboard is heavy. It is built with a heavy duty metal top plate. I have the linear quiet keys and they are wonderful to type and game on. The keys are responsive with just the right amount of force and feedback for a great typing experience. If you like RGB this keyboard is for you. Many keyboards with RGB are often dim unless seen in low light conditions. Not this keyboard with the pudding caps. The light shines VERY bright in all lighting conditions. It is adjustable and I often keep it low as it can be really bright. It has a ton of RGB per key settings with software to create an amazing light show if you want. I could go on and on how much I love this keyboard. However, now for my one little gripe. While the keys feel and type and game great, there is, what I think, to be more "wobble" in the keys than there should be. For a keyboard in this price range I think they could have possibly used stabilized keys. But this is a very minor issue considering all the features of this keyboard. NOW, for the long term verdict. Maybe I got lucky and got a "good one" but after using this keyboard 8-10 hours almost every day I have had ZERO problems. The keyboard functions and feels and types like the day I bought it! I know I should not feel amazed as we should all expect such quality in every thing we purchase but in todays market, product quality sometimes seems to be a flip of the coin. I would highly recommend this keyboard but I do not see it listed around much anymore. If you happen to find one though it is well worth the long term investment.

This thing looks awesome. The lights are neat. The keys feel super nice and are mega clicky. I really enjoy using this thing. The cable is really tough too, not flimsy at all. A bit of an adjustment from a lower profile keyboard but its great for gaming and I can type pretty quick on it.

I first picked up the HyperX Alloy Origins and it was very nice, but after a few hours and reading about people replacing the keycaps with Pudding keycaps, I took it right back and picked up the HyperX Elite 2 which already has the Pudding Keycaps. This keyboard is a delight to type on, very smooth and buttery for sure, I love it. The colors are very brilliant and you can adjust the colors to your liking easily with the Ngenuity software. The price is a little high, I didn't want to spend over $100, but I am very glad I did.

As a gamer a good keyboard is a must. And this keyboard is definitely worth it. Ive been using it for almost a month now and have no issues with it. Install was easy, just plug it in and go. Also with it being a mechanical keyboard, the clicky clacky of the keys is very satisfying.

Overall decent for the price (and very good for the $90 i spent for it) with some minor gripes Pros: -good hyperx switches and pleasant quiet typing -quite responsive and light presses register just fine -minimal ping noise, 10x better than the corsair k70 RGB Pro which had metal ping on every keystroke, horrifying -sturdy body and well built -media keys are convenient -font on keys is not embarrassing but respectable -epic lights (idc about RGB but i can recognize when something is pretty) -software is simple to use with 1 major flaw (see cons) Cons: -the cord is very thick, personally not a fan -pass through USB port is pointless since you have to plug in 2 USBs to the PC for the pass through to work. i don't do this so there is a useless USB cord just hanging there while the main one for the keyboard is plugged in -the software for lighting preset is pure suffering. you have to close the program completely to use the dedicated button to switch between presets. so to change colors you can either choose it within the program OR close it completely via task manager and use the physical button. if you are confused right now so am i -less built-in patterns than others -keys attract oil so don't be filthy

This Hyperactive Keyboard is absolutely fantastic. The flowing lights is like having a Light Bar in your home. It’s amazing when typing in the dark. It’s the Finest Keyboard out on the market. I bought 4 and sent them to my family members.

This keyboard is great. It’s well built, the keys are super bouncy and make a satisfying clicking sound. I love the configuration of the buttons at the top and it’s super easy to change the colours. This keyboard is HEAVY. Like, this thing could totally be used as a weapon if someone breaks into your house, or if you really want to destroy your monitor after dying 15 times in a row. If all HyperX keyboards are like this, I will definitely keep them in mind the next time I need one.

Very responsive keyboard, it makes typing really fun! I love the colors and how bright the jelly keycaps make it. The USB pass through is also a really nice feature since I am using a KVM switch with limited input USB ports. I have put this thing through many hours of games and work alike and it is amazing.

love this keyboard. got this to go with my alienware i got the same day. I've been wanting a new mechanical keyboard and man I'm glad i got this one between how well its made and all the lighting effects you can set up its just amazing. just wish the software that hyper x has for you to use to set color them was easier to use. but that said its still one the greatest keyboards I've ever bought
