With the base vents all the way closed and 7.1 surround sound enabled you hear every aspect of the game sound. This includes footsteps and scope sounds for fps. It helps you determine how far away the player is and from what angle/place on the map. Worth the money. Only downside is the mic, for what you're paying I feel it should sound better/have better voice detection. Still a decent mic though.

Sound seems to be a bit crisper and the microphone quality is a major improvement. My only gripe with this headset (hence the one star loss) is that the bass i was used to on my old cloud core isn't quite as punchy as i like. Also a thanks to best buy for price matching the hyperx website.

I needed a new one and wanted to try this model out. The ear cuffs are by far the most comfy I have ever used. The 7.1 is a nice feature and I honestly just leave it on. The wire could be a tad longer from the controller to the headset. Would still recommend this to anyone. Also the blue looks great compared to the usual black and red
