Picked up the Alpha S due to the the dual-chamber driver system (the Cloud II uses a single chamber). Definite sound improvement. Know that the cord is detachable but to take advantage of the virtual surround, you'll need to connect via the USB-A dongle. Can verify that it works on a PS4

Great headset for pc. Wish you didn’t lose the surround sound without the usb dongle but not much of a hit. Definitely one of the more premium feeling headset made for the price. Feels good and well made and not flimsy and plastic like a lot of the other brands.

The cable on my old Hyper X cloud headphones dies after years of use. This new model has a replaceable cable. I wear these at my office job for hours at a time with no comfort issues. It is also great that I can use them as USB or 3.5mm headphones because of the include cables.

This pair replaced my cloud 2’s, which were amazing, but this pair is a nice step up nonetheless. The sound, in competitive environments like csgo, performs to my personal standards and is very crispy in my opinion. Great value on them as well these don’t break the bank.

This headset strongly disappointed me. I will say, the sound quality and comfortability for the first couple of months was extraordinary. However, I began noticing a few months in that out of NOWHERE, the headset would litteraly ZAP MY EARS INTO OBLIVION. No, I am not talking about a little static shock. I am talking about full-on zapping-frankenstein-into-life kind of shock right to the ears. Needless to say it was VERY painful, and it happened on more than one occasion, at times where audio wasn't even playing. I thought the first time that maybe it was just a one-off, but ever since then, I have had PTSD wearing headsets out of fear that history will repeat itself. Aside from the faulty hardware that resulted in my ears feeling assaulted by lightning, the sound quality as mentioned earlier is very good for the price. The thick cushioning at the top of the head band also added extra comfort for longer durations of use. I personally never found a need to use the adapter often, but it functioned when I did use it once or twice. Ultimately, I recommend another headset to the person reading this. From my experience, the Razer Kraken is a very qualitative, affordable headset with the UTMOST comfortability for longer durations of gaming and wear. The sound quality in the Kraken is also better than the sound quality of these headphones by a long shot.

The sound quality is great and I really loved the step-by-step guide to setting it up. I had a bit of trouble balancing the microphone output, but that was more due to my limited experience than any fault of the product.

Amazing sound, awesome noise cancellation with a decent mic to boot. In fact, my son sent back the detachable usb mic we bought in favor of the mic that comes with these headphones. Best Gamer Christmas Gift ever (well maybe not ever but certainly a fav this holiday). :-)

It’s a great headset. The only issue I had was that I didn’t realize if plugged directly into the ps5 controller there are no volume controls because that attachment requires usb. So I did swap this out for the cloud alpha pro headset.

Its a perfect headset for gaming and other daily use, I got it for gaming mostly, it comes with a decent microphone that would work as a starter, but the sound quality is amazing and the 7.1 surround sound makes you feel like you’re in the studio when you’re listening to music.

Amazing headset, can hear sounds better in FPS games compared to my old Razer kraken V2. Feel like it is a nice upgrade. Mic quality is good, the bass adjusters are nice. Music quality is decent. Overall very happy so far

Love this headset. I use it for both remote work and gaming, and it works like a charm. the 7.1 surround sound is awesome as long as your system supports 3D sound. Highly recommend it unless you really want wireless.

This is the headset to end all headset searches. It sounds amazing. You hear the lows, mids, and highs very clearly without any distortion. Bought it for my PS4 (also works with PS5) and was really surprised with what this headset is capable. Great buy!

came in good packaging, no scratches or marks on it. audio sounds a lot better than i thought it would. good product overall, if you need headphones for gaming but you're not rich enough to spend 1000$ on marked up brands that sound similar anyway this is great.

Good for gaming and listening to music. Connected it to my lg g8 and it triggered the quad dac on my phone due to the high impedance. Oh my goodness, the sound quality was superb, so loud and crystal clear.

Love the sound quality of these headphones. Best for gaming and music. The sound at first sounded off - but after some reddit searches I was able to fix it. So now it is perfect :)

Works great, sound is crispy clear, some games can use the 7.1 virtual surround well but I typically leave it off since I customize sound settings in-game. Would recommend, especially if on sale. Wire is great length, using on PC was plug and play.

After 4 years my old headset was on its last legs, looked at a bunch of different headsets and this one seemed like the best one to fit my needs. Sound and Mic are both good, and 7.1 surround sound is good also.

I won't buy any other kind of headset. Hyper X alpha S is an excellent gaming headset, the volume, chat, and mic is perfect for the PS4. Having the controls right there at your fingertips doesn't interrupt your gaming skills.

I really recommend this headset to all the COD players it’s by far the best headset I owned it out runs Astro and steelseries on a serious note really hope you guys purchase this headset!!
