The absolute best wireless gaming headset

Long battery life 20-30 hours. Excellent sound quality that rivals and bests most $200 wired headsets. For $100 it's a bargain, good build quality, good mic. You can get better sound with a good amp and high dollar wired cans but not by much. Even audiophile snobs agree it sounds real good. Somewhat of a V shaped sound, rocks for pop, rock and rap. No BS surround sound, just good sound. If u like bass, it's loud and clean. Need to hear enemy footsteps to gain advantage, it's there. It's very comfortable too. It beats most wired headsets and is worlds better than say, the astro a50 which is $300. It's so very comfortable for long hours as well. I paid $150 for mine 5 months ago and have used it an average of 1-8 hours everyday with many marathon gaming sessions mainly on PS4 pro and I also use it to enjoy music at high volume. Does it sound as good as say ath-m50x? Its not that far off, has similar sound profile and it's wireless and I need a good amp to get that sound with the wired cans where the cloud flight has it all built in. Oh and the modmic for communication. All in all you're better off buying the wireless cloud flight. The sound is more than good enough and I'm very picky. Battery won't let u down and unless you're careless, it won't break and hyper x has a terrific warranty. Just buy it, it's no cheap piece of crap. It's a nice piece of equipment. Sounds real close to the hyperx revolver which is wired, has decent mic, has amazing sound quality. If you want closed back 'phones for gaming, this is the way to go. Only time I'd recommend something else is if you need/prefer open back headphones. In that case, I'd go with ath-ad900x plus a separate mic($10-100 depending on your choice) or Sennheiser hd58x plus a mic. You'll want some sort of amplification to use the hd58x

I'll start with the good parts of this product: It was lightweight and very comfortable to wear for extended gaming sessions (3+ hours). The battery life seemed really good for a wireless headset (used side LED off mode for max battery life). I had no reception or range issues with the included USB dongle receiver. The mediocre stuff about the headset: It does not feature any form of virtual surround sound (stereo only). The sound quality of the headset was acceptable for its price range. The mic was not bad nor was it exceptional. If you're used to beefy metal wired headsets you may be put off by the mostly plastic build. The mute button for the mic is one of the side panels on the headset with only audible beeps played to tell if it is active or not. And now the bad: Any firmware update to the headset requires it to be paired again to the USB dongle. The pairing mode button on the USB dongle requires a extremely small needle or pin to reach so keep one on hand for such an occasion. Many owners complain about white noise with this product. The reason being is most likely that the headset does not have an volume control independent of what it is connected to. For example, on the PC it only controls the operating system's sound volume. So the headset itself seems to be at max volume within itself which causes you to hear white noise or "speaker hissing" as I like to call it. For some it might not bother you as gaming sounds may drown this out, but for others it could be too much to bear.

The Sound is decent. No noticeable distortion in base at safe volume levels (respectively) and reasonably balanced ranges for a more crisp sound that is non-distracting and allows for full emersion. The battery is not as great as I'd like. At 50% volume it seems like you won't get much more than 6-8 hours. I suppose at 1% volume you could get the 30 hours claimed in advertisement but I'm not sure who would do that. Noise cancellation works well. They're not to be compared to high end ranges but within the mid-range where they sit, they're decent. My fellow gaming buddies on the other end of the mic hardly hear the noises of my family (which says something) and neither do I:) Style and comfort is what you would expect from HyperX. The Cloud Flight headset is very comfortable and you barely notice them most of the time you're gaming. There is the right amount of padding in all the right places and I've yet to have that uncomfortable ear sweat you sometimes get with these non-clothe noise cancellation headsets. Although you can get better, you'll pay significantly more to do so. If you're looking in the mid-range price for a wireless gaming headset, you'd be extremely lucky to get a better headset than the HyperX Cloud Flight

I've been using this headset for about 2 months now, and my experience with them has been nothing but fantastic. The sound quality is great, the headset can really pick up sounds from all directions and especially works great with shooters. Pair it with Dolby Access, and they sound even better. The build quality of the frame is decent, I think it's fair to say there are definitely better built headsets out there. Regardless of the build quality of the frame, the ear cushions are fantastic and there is even foam on the inside of the earcup, so there won't be pressure against your ear while you wear them! The ear cups being able to turn so they rest on your chest is also a nice bonus. I use a separate mic, so unfortunately I cannot provide any insight into how the removable mic sounds, but it's great that it's not built in and you have to deal with a spare mic sitting in front of your face :) If you are like me and want to save even more battery, you can even turn the red light off. Speaking of the battery, it does last quite a while but I never did time myself while using them. Unfortunately I can't say if they do last 30 hours as advertised. If you are willing to spend a little more on a headset, I would suggest that these are the way to go.

Sound quality is very good. For a wireless device you can go through many rooms and still get a signal. I use mine for gaming in sessions lasting up to 8 hours and after only a couple hours they start to hurt my ears. As for comfort, at first they feel fine but with the rigid plastic connections between the ear pieces and head band there isn't any adjustment to make them comfortable. I can never get a really good fit like the HyperX cloud headphones I replaced with these. While gaming the left to right sounds are spot on and as you move the mouse to track toward the sound it follows and rotates the sound to both ears as you look straight at what ever is making the sound. Build quality is overall good but I wouldn't toss them around. They should be bluetooth instead of taking up one of my USB ports. So the sound is great, build quality is good but the comfort level is a thumbs down in my book. For the sale price of $99 it is a good bargain. But I wouldn't pay the normal price at the time I wrote this of #149.99.

I've been using this headset for a couple of months now. It feels well made, its comfortable to wear even after several hours. Previous headsets I've had were uncomfortable after about an hours use. The battery life is good, best to have the lighting off as it uses a lot more battery power when they are on. The mute button is very convenient as well. The sound from the headset is good, I've had others that produced better sound but it just lacks in a few areas, they do get plenty loud though. The microphone seems to be good quality, I've had no complaints of anyone having trouble hearing or understanding me while using them. It has its own USB dongle and has paired automatically 99% of the time, just once I had to use the reset after a firmware update. Be sure to install the HyperX NGenuity software, it will show you the estimated battery life on your computer as the headset itself has no indicator of battery life.

I picked up the HyperX Cloud Flights to replace my SteelSeries Arctis 7. Both headsets are phenomenal. However, the thing that makes the Flights better is the same thing that should have put the Arctis 7 in the lead. The SteelSeries Engine software isn't incredibly useful. It offers the ability to configure different sound profiles and to enable or disable the virtual 7.1 surround. However, the software fails to recognize programs and switch profiles automatically. The Flights have no extra software and just work. If you're into PUBG, this is the best headset I've used. Make sure not to enable Microsoft Sonic or Dolby Atmos for PUBG but those are ok for other games like Battlefield 1 and CoD WWII. The Flights are light, comfortable, and you can hear the enemy from a decent distance and know exactly where they are. Happy killing!

    Best Gaming Headset I've Tried

    Posted
    jetpylot1

I'm your average white dude, professional, and really want to enjoy the little time I have gaming. I bought these because my PC is out of the way in the house, and I want really good 7.1 sound for FPS turned up really loud. They aren't heavy on my head, they are comfortable. The ear pieces are leatherette, and stay cool. The mic boom is nice and flexible. My friends say the sound is good on Discord from the mic. I tried the Steelseries, and Corsair, and returned them. Logitech is always good, but these are a step higher in my opinion. I'm really only leaving the review because I don't want anyone else to waste their time like I did with the competitors. Only 4 stars because I am rating on a 1 to 5 scale on any products available at Best Buy/what I use for work, and kind of considering there could be ANR like the Bose QC35 in this headset so I don't have to hear the AC or a fan running, or other noise. Just silence.

I am a huge audiophile and have been searching through the various amounts of headsets. I tried the Arctis 7's and really don't understand the hype, wasn't a fan. The Cloud Flight's however, have been one of the only headsets I would put against my Astro a50's(nothing wrong with my A50's), just looking to see if there is something out there that will better fit my audio preferences. These are absolutely great, they are comfortable, they are decently loud, they sound quality is fantastic, nice bass and still clear mid and highs. Overall I am very impressed. Good job HyperX.

I bought this headset because of all the great reviews. The headset feels great, really comfortable, the sound is crisp and amazing when playing COD...... but the mic sucks. My friends can barely hear me. I turned the mic volume all the way up and now it pics up my breathing. When the mic is up all the way, my friends still have a hard time hearing me. I've only had the headset for about 8 days and today the mic completely failed. It doesn't even register when I test it out on ps4. I don't know if it's just this particular headset that has a faulty mic but the more I looked online, a lot of people have had issues with the mic. I will be returning this today.

I bought these to replace a week old pair of HyperX Stinger wireless headphones that I had to return because of muffled mic issues. I'm actually kind of happy that I had to return the Stinger's because I like the fit of the Flight's a lot better. The Flight's fit me a little more snug -the Stingers were a little loose. The Flight's have a much longer battery life and I think they are more comfortable. Gaming online other players said that my voice is clear. The only thing that I really dislike is hearing the echo of everything I say in the headset... It's very distracting. If I can't find a way to shut that feature down I will probably return these as well. I guess it's a feature that some people like...

I love Hyperx quality headsets. I find that my ears enjoy their mix more than other companies. If you're looking for an easy plug and play no frills wireless headset look no further. These things are light as a feather yet feel nice and durable, I can wear these all night for those epic gaming sessions. The included 3.5mm cable comes in handy for traveling and flying. The red lights are a bonus for my red theme setup, but they do use quite a bit of battery so I set them to "Pulse" to get more life out of them. The sound is clear and easy to pinpoint, very happy with this headset.

I am not usually a fan of wireless headphones, I just don't feel like they ever deliver in the sound quality department. These on the other hand, are a totally different story. These delivery excellent sound and have a really good range if I need to get up to grab a drink or put something away I don't have to worry about being disconnected (my house is rather small so your mileage may vary) They are also reasonably durable. I do not abuse them by any means, but I will throw them in a travel bad every once in a while on top of everything else, and so far they are holding up like champs. Great for gaming on the go. These headphones made a believer out of me.

This is my second wireless headset, after being disappointed in logitech's mic on their wireless headset I had a friend recommend Hyper-X. When the headset is fully charged it lasts around 8 hours of gaming. The headset automatically shuts off when no sound has/mic detection has been picked up for 15-30 minutes to save battery. The headset charges fast, mic picks up great, and sound quality is phenomenal. The headphones are great for any type of gaming (Battle Royale/ Solo Player Games/ MMORPG) as well as for watching video/movies and chatting with friends.

I bought these with some hope given the reputations, reviews, etc. They were easy to set up, comfortable enough, and sounded good. The problem was the mic. I kept cutting out. My theory is that the noise cancellation in the mic was perhaps off, and thus cutting me off by accident when speaking. I did find threads of this on reddit, and could not find a solution. I think this could be a great set, but not for me. Whether I just got a "bad one" or they have systemic issues I cannot be sure.

The product is advertised as a headset that is compatible with xbox but it is not compatible with the usb dongle to transmit the digital audio. It came as a surprise because other headsets from other companies such as lucid sound have headsets with usb dongles that are compatible with xbox, pc and ps4. The mic also does not work with xbox in analogue mode which baffles me because even an ordinary pair of headphones with a built in microphone can still be used for chat and sound. These should be advertised as a pc and ps4 headset. It's extremely misleading to call these compatible with xbox.

Loved this headset, it’s comfortable and has great connectivity and good sound, not too bass heavy - that said, this does not have Mic Monitoring meaning you can’t hear yourself in the mic. If you plug an aux cord in, the headset turns off wireless and you can only use it as a mic. Kind of dumb but this seems to be true for half of wireless headsets out there. Didn’t realize it until I was out of my return window. Overall a good headset, if you don’t care about that feature.

Coming from the Logitech G533 (which did not always work correctly, thus exchanged for this), this was a huge improvement. I found that The Logitech G533 was a disappointment after my first time wearing it. The sound and mic quality was not what I was hoping for, but in the Cloud Flights, they were much, much better. My friends tell me that I sound much better and less tinny than when I had my G533s. The sound quality is excellent for a wireless headset. Overall, I would recommend this headset over all the other competitors.

So far the HyperX Cloud Flight has impressive me with its sound quality, great for listening to music or playing games with friends, the mic quality is great as well, what makes this microphone so much better is its 30 hours of battery life, which is insane if u ask me. The only issue I have is that the mic volume is a bit low, when your using it wireless, but can be fix if your messing with your audio settings or just plug it in with the wire cable.

I originally bought the PS4 Platinum headset. That thing was awesome but way to uncomfortable for me. After some research it seemed that the clouds we're one of the most comfortable headsets for PS4. I am impressed how comfortable they are. They don't have as many features as the platinums and the 3d sound isn't as good. But it is well worth it for me to be comfortable whole I play. Also the clouds have better battery and range. I highly recommend this headset.
