    The best PS4 headset

Having EXTENSIVELY researched headsets, I settled on the Cloud II's for many good reasons. Even compared to the HyperX Cloud Revolvers (the more expensive pair) these come out way on top. First of all, it comes with an amplifier control box that hooks up plain and simple that offers 7.1 surround sound for your console or PC; just hooks up via USB. It even comes with interchangeable ear cups which initially have the leather pads installed but can be easily swapped out for the cloth ones (which I'm using now). Following this detail, this headset DOES NOT have mic monitoring which was a feature I was very used to having with my headset prior but having used the cloth ear cups allows me to hear myself talk so I'm not screaming due to the noise isolation quality leather cups. Overall, the headset is very comfortable, easy to set up and even looks great. 100% would recommend to anyone who's looking for an amazing quality headset for their console or even PC

This is a very solid headset. Quality sound with a removable microphone. This headset is very versatile. Been using it on pc, ps4, stadia, and mobile with no issues at all. Would definitely recommend.

This is by far the best headset I have owned. The sound quality is really great for the price. They are also very lightweight and I can wear them while wearing my glasses for hours with no problem which was a problem I had with previous headsets.

I was looking for quality headset that is light weight, sturdy, and has soft padding (not made of synthetic material) in the band. The sound is great, and offers surround sound. Besides multiple great tech features they feel good on the head for long periods of time.

Very comfortable headphones. I have used many headphone in the past and all of the other ones hurt my head. The hyper X ones feel like a cloud on my head! These are relatively cheap for what you’re getting. Amazing sound quality also! Not a sponsored review

This headset is one of the BEST heasets i have ever owned. It is comfortable, the sound is awesome, the mic i didnt have any issues with, and it was very durable. I have had to finally replace this item and it has set a very high standard for any future headsets i will buy.

If you're looking for a great gaming headset but don't have a budget for a two hundred dollar headset with premium sound quality, this is absolutely the headset for you. It sounds great out of the box, it's not gonna empty your wallet like some other headsets I've seen, and there really aren't many qualms I have with it. But the few that I had for the headset are easily fixed. Pros: -Great sound out of the box -High quality sound card with the USB adapter with amazing 7.1 simulated surround that gives me a major edge when I play games like Rainbow Six Siege or Counter Strike: Global Offensive. -Not going to empty your wallet for a nice, quality, headset. -Choice of leatherette or... I want to say velvet (but it probably isn't) ear pads (If you use them for long periods of time I'd recommend switching them out, I personally prefer the leatherette but they are equally comfortable) -Directional/detachable microphone has great range of motion and can handle being moved back and forth from "in front of my face" to "out of the way" (for me to eat or drink) without getting weak or falling out of the headset -Comes with a great mesh bag to carry your headset, wires, and mic when you take your computer/laptop somewhere else to game. -I personally don't use the headphone/microphone jack adapter, but that's an option if you don't have enough USB ports. -Great noise cancelling, but that can cause some issues, as I will explain in the cons portion of this review. -Ear pads are extremely comfortable and I don't ever feel like my head is being squished after long periods (4 or 5 hour periods) of competitive gaming. -Great "unboxing" experience with the amazing red... honestly I'd call it a "case" instead of a "box". It feels like the headphones are being "presented" when you take off the lid and foam pad, rather than "opening a box and there they are" feel. Cons: -Microphone doesn't feed back through the headset. Normally that's not a problem, but the people around me have told me that I get a bit unnecessarily loud when I'm talking to a group of people in Discord, or giving callouts in game. (I wouldn't know, I can't hear myself) -HyperX doesn't have software for an equalizer. Now this is just personal preference, but for me its bass didn't have quite the punch I was used to from other headsets. But this was easily fixed by downloading a third-party sound program, boosting the bass a little bit, and now I wouldn't trade this headset for anything unless it was gold plated. -With the sound card/USB adapter, I find myself not using the headphone/microphone jack adapter ever (this is partially because those jacks on my PC are right next to my hand, so it takes up space. And the sound card built into the USB just gives me great physical control of my volume without having to get out of game) -The jack that the headphones plug into for the USB connector gets unplugged a lot (mostly because I accidentally pull it when I'm sitting on my couch) -If you don't have a desktop, or don't have a desk to use, the wire for the headset is short, but the wire for the USB adapter is a bit long. It's a bit weird, but honestly I'm sure you can just wrap the wire a little bit more than what it is out of the box and it'll be just fine. Honestly most of my cons are just from personal preference wanting it to be a little different, or perhaps a unique problem simply because of my gaming setup. This headset is pretty fantastic, and all the issues I have, I have found easy solutions or fixes for (except feeding the mic through my headset, still can't figure out how to do that). I didn't give this product 5 stars for two reasons: the mic doesn't feed through the headset, so people tend to have to yell at me if they want my attention; there isn't a HyperX software I could find to equalize the sound. When I tried to use my computer's equalizer, it went through the USB sound card and it didn't change anything. This may not be a problem for others, but if those things were there or if I at least had the OPTION to feed my mic back through my headset, then I would give this 5 stars. Plus, 5 stars should be reserved for studio quality headsets, and this is great, but there are definitely better headsets; but not for the price.

Great gaming head phones. Sound quality is great, although not the best on the bass. Docked a star because no functionality when using for xbox one. Cannot mute or adjust volume controls without plugging in the USB connector. Great headset that you can snag on sale for a great price for most gaming platforms.

Top Quality Headset for a Mid Range Price

The Hyper X Cloud II is, put simply, one of the best gaming headsets in its price range – solidly built, well designed, extremely comfortable and it sounds great. Mic levels are fully adjustable and the simulated 7.1 surround works quite well. If I have one small gripe with this headset, it is that the actual mic audio sounds over compressed – which stands in sharp contrast to the very warm sound you’ll get out of in-game audio. Though it must also be noted that the noise canceling is quite good. You will be able to stream with Blue Switches using this headset. Another added bonus is that the Hyper X Cloud II is semi modular, so you can take it with you on the go – leaving the base plugged into your PC - and have a great set of stereo headphones you can use anywhere. Top quality headset for a mid range price.

I was a bit skeptical on this purchase. I had the arctis 5 and it was time for a new pair. I am so happy with this purchase. The headset feels sturdy and comfortable. It has great noise cancellation and it doesn’t get hot when wearing it for a long period of time. The audio is amazing. The 7.1 surround sound adapter comes included and sounds amazing on my PC. I haven’t tested the mic too much, but my friends online state that it sounds better than my previous headset. What I loved the most that made me switch from Arctis, is that the cables are braided and it uses an aux input that connects to the 7.1 amp to usb. So you can easily take it off the 7.1 amp and use it on something that uses 3.5mm aux input.

    Great with 2 flaws

Super comfortable. Extremely well made. I use it for hours at a time tutoring online. 2 flaws to be aware of: - There is NO feedback from the mic to the earphones (even though there is a sound chip in the controller). Because the pads seal around your ears it's like talking with your fingers in your ears. (If you set Windows to do feedback you get an echo effect.) - The mute button is a tiny slider that takes more effort than a simple button. Not convenient as a "cough" button. To solve both of the above I bought a desktop Samson G-Track mic to use instead of the headset mic. Sound quality is very good, though not audiophile music quality. The mic volume control is a nice feature.

Comfortable to wear. Good sound quality. I connect the headphones to my blue yeti mic instead of by the usb on the headphones so I do wish that cord was a little longer. Great Price.

Based on the positive reviews I read, I bought two sets of these headphones for my sons, ages 9 and 11, to use for PC gaming. My boys have gone through multiple pairs of headphones over the years and are very rough on them. They've lasted a month now with heavy use, and so far, they have held up very well. I very much like the little glow-in-the-dark, LED illuminated, in-line mic and headphone volume controller. The only issue we had was when my older son accidentally hit the mute button on the controller. It took me several minutes of trouble-shooting in Discord to finally check the little controller box and see the mute switch was on. It's definitely not super obvious!

I’d give these 5 stars if the bass was a little better. All other aspects are great. They are very comfortable, they have good overall sound at moderate levels, and the mic is clear. However, the bass gets distorted when you amp up the volume.

Headset is really one of one. Worth every bit of money. Padding is really comfortable and fitting not to hard on head. Clear loudness and sounds proof perfectly. Almost so sound proof that I almost didn’t hear the burglar break in my house at 2am while streaming warzone on twitch. Id say they do a nifty job. And good quality headset!

This is one of the most cost effective headsets for high quality that you can buy. Amazing sound quality and very robust construction. Not really heavy at all. They are a little too snug for my taste, but I do have a big head. Awesome!

Audio and mic is great. The headphones really make the 7.1 and are really comfortable for long playing. The only downside is that the cable was not as long as expected and that for the PS4 u have to activate the 7.1 as soon as the cable is connected, if not you will not be able to activate it.

HyperX Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset

An excellent headset. Sadly, it had the same issue I have with all wired headsets and the wiring at the connection to the headset eventually shorts out and fails due to a focused flex point at that spot. Always but the extended protection for wired headsets. Was light and comfortable enough to wear for 12 to 16 hours without an issue. Great sound and the mic was great. No complaints other than the normal wired connection point issue. But that happens with every wired headset I get within a year so I can't hold that against this headset either. Excellent choice for the price point.

I bought this for my grandson, and I must say, the headset is pretty awesome. The sound quality is great and is quite loud even when it is on a low setting. The noise cancellation is great as well. I would know because when he has them on and I try to call him, he is oblivious to what is going on. Or is that a con? Anywho, the mic is detachable, so you can use them as standard headphones and it comes with extra ear cushions which are easily interchangeable. All in all, these are some mighty fine heaphones! The only con I can think of is the fact that the wire gets very tangled/intertwined and is a pain to look at and deal with. Other than that, golden!
