A beginner friendly headset ~ not meant for adults or long term gaming

We got these for my 9 year old son who plays mainly Fortnite. He’s able to wear other “adult” headsets but they are very big and slide off when he moves around. There were a perfect fit for him and should last a couple years as he’s already on the small side.
Fit - He said they are comfortable. I put them on and they do have could cushioning all the way around. The headband isn’t just plastic…it has padding to that adds to the comfort.
Sound - Now for a hardcore gamer these are going to sound different. They do not get as loud as my adult HyperX headset or my Turtle Beach…but for him it’s perfect. He can still hear me when I call for him which in the past has been a problem. As far as the quality of the sound - I would say it’s pretty good. I do not hear any static or distortion. When he plays with me I can hear him clearly and he can hear me. When I wore them, I could hear the game just fine as well…just a little toned down. Having the ability to plug it in is a good option, we just haven’t used it yet.
Battery - the battery life seems to be pretty good. He does forget to turn them off and they must auto turn off because they will still be changed the next day.
Mic - the flip mute feature works well and he uses it when he’s talking to us. Mic sound quality is good as well.
Overall - very pleased with this and so is my son.

HyperX - Cloud Mini Wireless Headset for PC/PS5/PS4, XBOX Series X/S and Nintendo Switch is really good. Sound quality was very sharp. Easy to connect to our PS4, my grandson said these were very comfortable. He and I played a couple of games and had so much fun.
Packaging is great. Very colorful and various shades of red made it feel amazing to him. Played for a couple of hours and asked him how the headphones feel, he said very comfortable and we played for another hour and then did lunch.
Microphone was very good and didn't pick up the noises in the room.
Headphones immersed him and i verified the sound was very immersive. We were very impressed how it sucked us into the game. Then I had my grandaughter try them and should have seen her face, she was so impressed.
The microphone was easy to adjust in a couple of different angles with no issues.
THe headband also adjusted comfortably to both of their heads. Very comfortable.
Battery held up as well, played for about 4 hours and then the next day a couple of hours and still had alot of battery life left.
Highly recommend this headset for anyone who wants a great sounding, light weight, easy to connect and setup with any pc or game set.

I know I’m stating the obvious here, but these headphones were PERFECT for our little gamer! I was a little worried that the volume limiter would limit so much that my son wouldn’t like them, but he has had no complaints. Their smaller frame reduces the weight typical of full-sized headphones, causing less fatigue. My son says these headphones are comfortable and comparable to the quality of my full sized headphones. Even with the Bluetooth usage, these headphones are able to go a full day’s session without quitting. The bluetooth capability also allows for wireless usage which is paramount when you have a child that can't sit still. After having tested the headphones with some music from my phone, I will say I was impressed at the depth and quality of the sound.
These headphones check all the boxes for parents that have a gamer-kid. Most importantly, it provides us with some peace so we don’t have to listen to creepers on Minecraft for hours of the day 😊 I would highly recommend these to any parent that’s looking for a reasonably prices headset for their child.

colors nice, mic works but isnt the best and the audio itself isnt worth it. I'll be keeping them as an emergency back up but they wont be my first choice.

My grandson loves them! What 8 yr. old isn’t highly active while playing video games? The wireless design keeps him connected while he’s using them. No more issues with a cord being in the way. He likes the great fit, and we’re glad that the volume can be limited to a safe level. They’re lightweight, so he can wear them for an extended period. They are a nice size for the 8 – 12 yr. old age group. The controls are simple and easy, with power and Bluetooth buttons.
Connection was really easy, and they work with multiple systems. The included 4 ft. wired connection is perfect for use with a computer. The sound quality is excellent and the microphone works really well, especially in a noisy environment. They have a solid build, so getting some rough treatment shouldn’t be a concern. It takes about 2 hours to charge, and when fully charged, they did last at least the stated 25 hours.
At this price point, it’s everything I’m looking for in a child’s headset. We enjoy that he’s able to be immersed in games, and we can have peace and quiet at the same time.

I was looking for a pair of headphones for my Son to use with his Nintendo Switch, and the HyperX Cloud Mini Wireless headphones seemed like a perfect match. I’m glad I selected them.
These headphones are smaller than the average set you can buy off the shelf, as they are designed for younger people with smaller heads. They fit my 6-year-old perfectly, and there’s room for him to grow in them. I tried them on to hear the sound quality, and it was a bit of a stretch for me as an adult—I would not want to wear them for extended periods.
Included in the box were the headphones, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and a 3.5mm audio cable that also supports microphone audio. Also included were a batch of stickers - my Son was excited to put on the headphones!
Pairing the headphones with the Nintendo Switch was easy. Once I opened the Bluetooth menu on the Switch, I had to hit the pairing button on the headphones, and they popped up in the list of available devices —pairing only took a few seconds.
For playing video games, the sound quality is excellent. One of the nice features is the volume limiting – the headphones won’t play sounds over 85dB, which protects young ears from hearing damage. The headphones also have a boom mic that swings down – and the boom mic is on a shorter boom, perfectly matching the proportions of the smaller headphones.
I didn’t have a chance to hear my microphone audio, but when playing Mario Kart, I didn’t hear any complaints about muffled or quiet audio.
Battery life is superb – the box says over 25 hours – I didn’t have a way to test this exactly, but it lasts long enough for a couple of long car rides between charges. Throwing them on the charging station for a couple of hours seems to get them back to full.
These are an excellent choice for younger gamers who want wireless (or wired) headphones. I am hard-pressed to find flaws in these headphones when used for gaming.

I must say, I'm pretty impressed with the HyperX - Cloud Mini Wireless Headset. This is designed for children and the design very much takes that into consideration. The smaller headset fits perfectly on my 5 year old daughter and allows her to listen to her tablet on those car rides instead of dads silly music!
I've owned several headphones over the past few years. My job is in a call center and I've tried a lot of the bigger name brands. While these are not on par with Jabra, Turtle Beach or some of the others, it certainly holds its own with sound quality and battery life.
Connecting via Bluetooth, there's no wires to get tangled up with. There's no wires to get tugged on or break off in the sound port on the tablet. The boom mic easily folds up and out of the way and she's too young to care about the flashing lights found on the gamer headsets.
In the box you'll also find a 3.5mm aux cord for those devices that don't have the wireless connection. I've used it on a computer, phone and even a Roku remote!
