The only reason I got it was to use it for a DIY lap keyboard so I could use my K&M on the couch. If you are worried about the quality I can assure you it is more than acceptable, as it was tough for me to cut this thing apart and glue it/staple it on to a wooden board. So I'm sure simply placing a keyboard and mouse on it won't ruin it.

The quality is great and they don’t slip on the glass top at all. It retains some memory effect from being rolled in the box so I rolled it the opposite way and put a rubber band around it for a day and now it’s perfectly flat.
