Simply plug in and the 3 button feature for lights is simple in case you don’t want to download the HyperX NGenuity software. I paired mine with a HyperX alloy Elite keyboard and HyperX mouse and when you link all 3x the lighting is great. I also spilled water on the mat today and it was quick to dry and didn’t fully absorb (almost slightly water resistant)

I wish there were more options to customize, but it gets the job done. Does attract a lot of dust and have to use lint roller to get off.

Also, for full function make sure to use the Ngenuity software available for free from HyperX. It unlocks a ton of options for making this pad all yours.
