Bad scroll wheel

If I use the scroll wheel to move down the page, it will randomly go up instead. I tried a different USB port, but it still doesn't work. Unfortunately it's too late to return it...

NOT A HAPPY TROOPER!!!!!

I'm sure it is the long cord that it won't work!!! I did not return it as I had so much trouble trying to buy a keyboard along with the mouse that I didn't ever want to go back and have another hassle. I will never go in that store again as I've always had problems when I went in there to buy something. P.S. I DID LIKE THE MOUSE ITSELF!!!!!
