Played WiiU version - Great upgrade

I last played Hyrule Warriors on the WiiU, skipping the 3DS version. I decided to revisit on the Nintendo Switch, and have really enjoyed the additions that the 3DS added (such as switching between characters on the fly) but without the limitations of the system. Game runs fantastic. Very addictive.

It’s a mashup that I didn’t think could work. I was wrong after getting the Wii U and the 3DS versions. It absolutely works and having it on the Switch makes sense as most of Nintendo’s 1st party Wii U titles need a 2nd look. This has all the DLC content added so it’s the whole experience. Worth it.

A similar series that developer Omega Force created Dynasty Warriors: Gundam same concept did OK in Japan but so-so over here in the states Basically what this is dynasty warriors style gameplay but with a legend of zelda SKIN on it, if game wasn't Nintendo themed probably wouldn't have sold as well as it has (including original wii u & 3DS releases) I wonder how well a mario themed version would do

This version of the game combines everything that the previous Wii U original and the 3DS versions brought to the table in Switch graphic quality. All the fighters and stages from both previous versions, combined with the hero switching capabilities that were added in the 3DS version.

Bought this because I enjoy the Zelda games. This does not play like a Legend or Zelda game but still has its own charm. It’s fun playing in large battles and fun getting to play as other characters from the series. I’d recommend this as something different but if you don’t like the dynasty warriors type gameplay stay away

Another Wii U port for Switch that's 4 years old and full price. Incredible the audacity of Nintendo to do this to its customers. If it weren't for gamers club I wouldn't have bought the game. If you never owned it before it's a good game so atleast there's that.

Great combination to satisfy both cravings of these two franchises. It’s a hack and slash game but with Zelda characters. Combat is always fun and refreshing. Characters are fun to use and the learning curve is really low for games like these. Easy to just jump into from time to time.

Another one versus many type game but with popular Zelda game/s characters taking turns hacking and slashing through hoards of foes. An original story rounds out this package. Though considered non-canon it still has plenty of lore tying it into main line games!

Definitely one of the updates that would have done great. The game features all the DLC for the Wii U and the 3DS game, all rolled up into one deluxe game, that still has all the fun and excitement of the previous games , and an updated frame rate for to the TV or on the go mode!

A Warriors game with a Zelda twist

This game is more than just a Warriors game with a Zelda skin applied to the characters. Link uses many of his staple items, such as bombs and arrows, to defeat the enemies and bosses. Nintendo has been working with third party publishers on crossover games like this in the past couple of years, and for the most part, they've been successful with the final product.

It's "great," I can definitely see how some critics have mentioned that it gets repetitive and slow. However, if you're a Zelda fan and basically just want Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda skin then you can't go wrong. I'm surprised at some of the more obscure characters Nintendo used in this game, but hey what do I know? It also plays a lot better on a TV than the handheld way.
