This is a decent game, but is much more of a Warriors game than a Legend of Zelda (LOZ) game. As a die hard LOZ fan I was upset a number of times with their complete lack of respect for LOZ lore and even the fundamental value system of LOZ. Also, the gameplay is repetitive and gets boring fast if it's not basically your favorite kind of gameplay. The difficulty is way too easy overall, but more importantly is inconsistent. I found myself playing on hard and feeling bored most of the time and like it was impossible other times. On the other hand it runs smoothly and if you are a fan of Warriors games and not a big LOZ fan you will likely enjoy this game.

If you played a warriors game you know the drill. The story is full on fan service, but good if you try to fit it into the timeline. Much less grindy so I can recommend if you beaten the WiiU version, but want to play the new content.

This is a game my wife and I have played about 80 hours each. The game has all the content that was released previously for the Wii U and 3DS. There's a wealth of content to be played, and it's the sort of game that's fun to come back to after a hiatus.

This game allows you to play as a vast variety of Zelda characters, even Ganondorf! Tons of content from all the various versions of this game. This is the definitive version of Hyrule Warriors. A must own for fans of the franchise.

This was a game I always wanted to play when owning a Wii U and 3DS. However, the loads of dlc for the Wii U version made it seem like you were getting an incomplete game, and the 3DS version had lo-res and choppy frame rate. So I didn't play it. Until the Switch version came out. Now I am having loads of fun and recommend it!

If you enjoy (or enjoyed) the Dynasty Warrior games, you'll enjoy this. Similar idea of going around the map and fighting with a strong hero against other strong heroes with weaker characters all around. Good variety in hero types.

I've never played any dynasty warriors like games before and was never interested in them but I love this game. It has great versions of the Zelda characters with a lot of different play modes to choose from. Plenty to enjoy.

I've never really been a fan of the Dynasty Warriors games, or any of the other one's for that matter. But when I played the game on WiiU when it originally released I quickly became super addicted. I skipped the DLC and the 3DS version so I never experienced all of the content until I bought the Definitive Switch Version. And Definitive it very much is. This game is improved so much over the WiiU and 3DS versions it's amazing. Every single piece of content is in this game, the visuals have been beefed up and it's been optimized to run perfectly on Switch. The power of the Switch allows for so many more enemies to be rendered in which makes the game all the more fun. Overall it's a very addictive game worth playing for any Zelda, or Warriors fan.

Not a big fan of Musou games but always wanted to dive into one. HW provided that gateway for me, since it included many of the Zelda characters. Still a lot of hack and slash (a LOT) but more more accessible than games of its genre.

It has all of the dlc from the Wiiu and 3ds version plus it runs at a better fps and resolution. this is the best version you'll ever get and it has too much content that you'll be playing for weeks unlocking everything.

I didn't buy this on the Wii so I was pretty excited to give it a try, and i'm glad I did. A lot of countless hours you can spend into this game whenever you're bored and want to just destroy hordes of monsters.

Amazing game! I love The legend of Zelda series, by far my favorite game series of all time. Definitely recommend this game to anyone who’s a longtime fan of Zelda as you can play a variety of characters other than main protagonist Link like never before. Not only can you play as the many incarnations of Link, but along with Zelda, Ganondorf, Impa, and many characters who’s made appearances throughout the Legend of Zelda series with a few original characters created for this game but nonetheless just as fun to play as. Hyrule Warriors is an exciting take onto the series but fits just right despite it being non-canon.

It may be a bit repetitive after a while, but the lure of continuously unlocking characters (lots!), weapons and maps can last quite a while for the right people. Also, for longtime fans of the series this game is a little gem due to the numerous characters from many of the classic Zelda games.

So I’m not a fan of dynasty warrior style, but I’m enjoying the game. I’m not struggling to kill stuff. I like playing all different people. It’s not a traditional zelda game but still fun.
