We used an AIO cooler, so cannot speak as much to ambient temps affecting air CPU coolers. But the temps have been comparable to the previous case that we used, Lian Li Dynamic O11 MINI, with the GPU running around 5-10 degrees cooler on a average.

Just go for the y70 it's the same case but slightly bigger. (Won't have this issue if you get custom cables)
