Pretty good horror movie. has a good plot good movie to add to your collection

The acting is alot better than the origional but the script is changed.

Being one of the many who have seen the original, I went into this hoping for a fresh perspective on the story. While the plot remains pretty much the same, I was very pleased and suprised at the differences of the movie and had an open mind to simply try to watch it as if it were a brand new movie. The acting and story were great, and it progression is well paced. The "revenge' scenes where very well thought out and pretty graphic. The story delivers her suffering and her thoughts in how to deal with the situation she went through. For those looking at this movie trying to compare it to the original, it still packs enough to make it comparible to the original. The ideas are there, and even though the "revenge' scenes have slightly changed, I think the original packed a little more punch because it was the first of it's kind to do so.

Excellent revenge movie. Be warned this movie is very graphic as the original one of the same title was. All the actors in the movie were excellent. I have not seen a revenge flick this good in a long time. I must say when the movie is over I was having after thoughts of what I just watched. The way the movie is done is more of a drama movie crossed with horror. If your a fan of movies like the Chainsaw Massacure and Saw you will also enjoy this one. This movie was shot on location in Louisiana.

This version of the film, like the original, is very intense. There is some really difficult material to deal with. First off, this movie should not be viewed by children, period! This version is shot in a psuedo-documentary style. The revenge aspect of this film is brutal. So is the initial attack on the main character. The actress portraying this character does her job extremely well. This version does lend itself to the original. It is a must own for new fans as well as original fans.
