Everything is going by pretty well. I bought the computer for myself. I have never owned a gaming PC before. I have been a mac user for everything in the last 6 years. Needless to say this is also my first pc in a long time. I am quite happy with everything so far. Usually I am very picky about my purchases. I researched a lot before buying this computer. I wanted it mainly to play Fortnite online. I am able to play at max settings and everything is good so far. The mouse that comes with the computer is pretty good. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because, the keyboard is really not good at all. Be sure to pick up a keyboard right away if you can. Secondly, the computer actually crashed the first time I tried Fortnite in max settings. I really don't know what the issue is/was. It was as if the pc was still on but the graphics card turned off or something. I could not get any of the video outputs to work. Ultimately I had to reboot and I haven't had an issue since. Will update review if issue re-occurs. Final thoughts, if you were to build something with similar specs you would end up spending 200-300 dollars more. I tried the very same thing and I was looking for the i5-8400 and Nvidia GTX 1060. Even if you source the parts at the cheapest prices you will not be able to build something that looks as nice sitting on your desk.

Score is for the basic configuration

As Sony has moved more and more into censorship and we're losing configurability and flexibility in lieu of "buy this new slightly stronger model for $600!" that we're in now, I decided to return to PC gaming for certain games. I do have a laptop that's fairly powerful, except it's held back by the integrated GPU. I pondered this vs. the other AMD models and settled on this for the nVidia support in certain Steam games. By itself the PC isn't remarkable. Graphics card is 8/10, but budget wise I couldn't justify a $400-$600 premium for 6GB VRAM dedicated. The platter disk is SLOOOOOW. Only 8GB of RAM 9 is a joke in this day and age. Processor is 8/10, no reason it shouldn't or couldn't have been i7. Nice that it has a wireless card, but compared to my laptop it seems to not be that strong. It doesn't have the right graphics card drivers installed so the very first thing you need to do is get those. While they (laughingly) provide a disk with these, you can't use them if you don't have an external CD/DVD player, since this doesn't have one built in. I swapped the default RAM for a 16GB (for now) pair of high end Corsairs (the ones that light up, why not) and cloned out the drive for a 256 SSD (for now). All told it was 5 hours from when I started to when it was fully usable, and here was my mistake: I did the Windows Updates FIRST. I shouldn't have. The platter disk held me back and I knew it would. Had I done the clone swap first and then done updates it would have gone much faster, but I wasn't sure about storage capacity. It was an additional 50GB of stuff that it downloaded. Once that was done though, it now performs like the beast it's supposed to, and only gets lukewarm pushing 1080p/60 or 4k/30. $1200 all told to get it to that point which included a UPS. I docked a star because frankly, I understand the whole "budget" thing. But in looking at the components selected, they could easily have done more than they did. Also, getting to the storage bays is needlessly convoluted; there's no secondary power cable either, so if you want to slave out a drive you'll need to make sure you buy a SATA power cable. They don't always come with the drive and you shouldn't assume it has one. Make sure.

    Do Not Buy This Brand

As the title states, you should avoid this brand whenever possible. Unless you plan to also purchase the additional Best Buy/Geek Squad protection plan. I have attempted to call the brand's customer support line 3 times. Each time I sat on hold for longer than 20 minutes before having to hang up and continue my day. I have emailed their service/help twice in the last week about my issue and the only response I have received was an automated message that informed me my first message was received and an order ticket has been generated. That was 3 days and two phone calls ago - with zero actual response or contact from the manufacturer yet. I have only owned this PC a couple weeks. The case fan on the back of the case turned off and has not come back on since. The internal temps of the system are in excess of 60* C during more moderate/heavy work. That fan moving some of that hot air out, could do a lot to help protect the system from over heating. I do not know if the fan is faulty or if it's a setting in the bios that needs to be adjusted but the manufacturer has zero help yet - running hot will drastically reduce the over all life of the PC, so the fact that iBuyPower STILL has not responded and keeps leaving me on hold until I have to hang up - has been quite frustrating. Especially considering that these fans cost like MAYBE $10 and if it's faulty can be easily replaced.

Bought this to replace my aging desktop (an older Xeon based 6 core computer) Hooked up this computer and did the basic setup for startup (very simple, and taking about 10 minutes) and starting playing around with it. Installed League of Legends, running at 300fps plus, and while it isn't an extremely graphics intensive program, this smoked what I was getting on my previous computer. This computer runs smooth, and the only things I would change are to add some more memory (I added 16 gigs) and a SSD for a boot drive (added a Western Digital Blue M.2 1 TB drive and with the Acronis software from Western Digital's website the transfer was a breeze) to get 10 second boot times. Adding about $200 dollars of memory and SSD turned this capable computer into a 2 TB monster (this 6 core i5 and 1060 graphics card are very capable.) The case is nice and the internal appearance and cable management look professionally done. Tried the keyboard and mouse and found they work fine and the quality was better than I expected for bundled items, I'm running this with my Logitech G910 keyboard and G9 gaming mouse I'd previously bought on sale at Best Buy. I thought the changing colors were neat in the case, but they get distracting in a dark room so I set them on just one color.

My son was wanting a gaming computer he could also complete school projects, research, print etc. I found this one at BB having never heard of iBuyPower but for the price of the computer and the BB 3 year extended warranty (extra $) it appeared too good to be true but took a chance. It came within 24 hours even tho shipping stated 3 days so my son was very excited. It was packed great very secure and professional. It took about 10 minutes to get it up and running. The only thing I had to find was an HDMI to DVI adapter as the NVIDIA 1060 only has one display port (DVI), not a deal killer but thought it would have at least 2 as my NVIDIA 1070 has 3. Anyway, once I installed the adapter which cost about $7 for two the image was crisp and sharp on the 32" ultra wide monitor. The prompts walked my son through setup and he was done and playing. The computer is extremely quiet and the RGB colors are nice. My alienware costing 1K more has nothing close to the RGB lights on this system. If your looking for a great budget system that can run popular titles like Fortnight, Battlefield etc. as well as all the Steam Games at high settings and not break the bank this one is for you. Ive only bought Alienware for the past 12 years, no complaints and they are well built machines, just expensive. However, this budget system is playing all the games my more expensive system can for much less and looks great too. Highly Recommended.

Here is my only problems with this Cons- 1.) Not Enough Ram. Buy 2 sticks of 8GB RAM and it would be perfect. 2.)An I5 is perfect for just getting into PC gaming but Defiantly look into getting a I7 when you can. Performance changes emencly when you do. Especially when paired with 24GB of RAM. 3.)For some reason, There is no pamphlet that gives you a clear reading of EXACTLY what parts this PC has. Such as Motherboard, Power supply, Dimensions of case, Type of fans, Ect. It just has all the things people mainly look as such as the Graphics card, RAM, and if it has RGB or not. Pro's- 1.) A great PC to get started with. Simply and with only updates needing to be applied such as drivers, it's ready to go out the box! 2.)The mouse and keyboard are a great touch. Though not the best. It's simply nice to have everything you need right off the bat. 3.) The RGB and custom colors you can have them and different types of styles you want them to show such as Breathing, Wave, Strobe, Ect. is very cool. 4.)With the Price, I honestly think it could be a bit more powerful but if you catch this on sale or simply just want a PC now then I would, after careful searching of other options, defiantly get this.

Overall, I think this PC will work out just fine for light gaming. Here's my main issues, and the reason for my lower score. 1. It's labeled as an Intel Core i5 -NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. this was 100% NOT IN MY PC. At the time of purchase, I specifically told the salesman assisting me I'd prefer Intel to AMD as it's what i'm used to. He assured me this was intel. It was NOT. Mine came with an AMD and ASUS vid card. The vid card is labeled as 1060, however it's the 3 gig version of the 1060. NOT AS GOOD as the NVIDIA 1060 I was expecting. Plus, this vid card doesn't have HDMI hookup, so I had to make another run to get a converter for DVI to HDMI just to get my monitor to work. What a headache! Then, after finally getting it to boot up, I had a startup windows 10 fail. Googled it on my phone, and found out it can be a common issue, so if you get that, you'll be tempted to chuck it out the window, but just google and follow the prompts. The system overall seems nice, there's just a very bad taste in my mouth due to expecting one thing, and getting something else. I will not purchase another PC from Best Buy.

First off this PC is beautiful and plenty fast to handle what I intend to do with it, having room to expand on top of it makes it that much better. This unit is actually the second one for me, the first one made a horrible screeching sound right out of the box coming from the power supply. Took it in to best buy and exchanged it for my current one, now its silent as a church mouse. Leds built in with an easy to use interface let's you customize the look of the tower and the mouse. Keyboard isnt my favorite but for an included item it's pretty good, just doesnt have the feedback that I like from the keys. Comes with a wifi antenna from Asus too. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great deal on a gaming PC to build on

I recently got into PC gaming, but have always been a console gamer. I can tell you that this computer beats out the graphics on the PlayStation 4 easily (at least when comparing Fortnite) and I find that it does not heat up when play 4k videos and games. Pros: RGB light (looks pretty cool when gaming in the dark) Decent GPU (nVidia GTX 1060) GREAT CPU (8th-Gen i5 does not stutter at all) Supports 2 4k displays easily (I have 2 LG 27uk600-w and they look great with this computer) Cons: For this price point, I could have built a computer with a better GPU and CPU combination, with more RAM. I DO recommend this as a low to mid- range gaming computer for the casual gamer. If you want professional, high end processing, go for iBuyPower's more powerful version with the 1080TI GPU and the i7 CPU.

So, I am a content creator and spend a lot of money annually on technology for my streams and such. Last weekend I bought this PC to replace the laptop that my wife runs her stream from. Clearly an upgrade or so I thought. On my way home today, my wife texts me and says I dont know what happened but I was streaming and i heard a loud pop and my PC shut down. I am an electrician by trade so i come home, test the house outlet, the surge protector and both gave me an output of 120 volts. move on the the cord entering the power supply, still 120 volts. Check every output on the power supply 0 volts DC. Upon removing the power supply from the PC all i can smell is the telltale sign of burned up electronics coming from the power supply. I could understand if the pc was older or if I was overloading it, but with minimal peripherals plugged in, I burned up a brand new power supply? Doubtful. I am headed to BestBuy now to buy a replacement power supply made by a competitor that I know and trust.

I had so much hype for this computer. Wanted it for about 6 months. Bought all the parts to go with it. For the first couple of days it was perfect. Worked great! Lighting fast. Games such as DOOM and PUBG looked and played great on it. I downloaded 6 games and 3 programs which were simple non virus ones. (Google chrome, Razer Synapse, GeForce Experiene) What do you know when I woke up the next day after an amazing night of gaming with my friends, I encountered a blue screen that told me to restart my computer. I did so and after I logged into my start screen I was unable to play any games. They just failed to start up. After trying every game I would then encounter the same blue screen. This cycle was happen over and over again. I was unable to play a game since Dec. 26 (today is Dec. 30) I have returned this product and my review may change once I receive my new computer. What a great Christmas.

Everything is good out of the box, but I think I am missing the RGB controller. I downloaded the iBUYPOWER LED controller but when I launch it, it just says that the LED's are not installed even though I can clearly see them So I think I am missing the remote. Also I think I am missing the motherboard little eextra stuff that comes with it like screws and what not. Not sure. So I bought an M.2 to update my boot drive but I dont have the scew to scew it in. So i have to order it or go to Fry's to go get some. Once i do that. I will be happy. Also, there isnt much drive bays as I want to put my 5tb 3.5in HDD in there as a Storage drive. oh well I made due with what I had. All in all great for the price and can;t complain so far. everything is good for now. except for the missing small items. The RGB isnt annoying yet as it is under my desk. but i haven't had time to really play with it.

    Great Pre-Built System

This system will play any modern game on 1080p medium directly out of the box. And that will probably hold true for the better part of a decade. Even if you built it yourself I'm not sure you could get the components for any cheaper than this whole package and in my case the cable management would suck. And it's upgradeable. You can add up to 64 Gigs of DDR4 ram and whatever GPU you want, though the 1060 isn't bad. I read a few complaints about the i5 but do NOT believe them. This is the 8th generation i5 and it's not even comparable to the earlier generations. The clockspeed is slow, but the features and threading make it super effecient. Check it out on any reputable benchmarking site for proof. And since games aren't CPU intensive, this will last you a long, long time. Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

This computer has been performing very well since I first received it. I had to order it online because none of the Best Buy stores in the state had it, so It took about a week to receive it. When it first arrived, everything was packages very nicely and no components were disconnected or broken. Setting up everything was fairly easy and clear and the computer booted up just fine. The only thing that I did not like was that the driver for the graphics card was provided in the form of a CD, which the computer doesn't have, nor do I have a PC that I can insert it to. It would have been nice to at least have a specific link provided with the computer to download the driver online. Other than that, it was a really nice bonus to have a keyboard and mouse included with the PC. Although the keyboard isn't the best quality, it definitely can still get the job done.

I purchased this computer in December as a Christmas present for my sons. The first unit we got started showing signs of problems on the first day. While Windows was updating and doing its restarts, I noticed the video wasn't working anymore. We were forced to hard power down the unit and restart it. This became a common theme over the next few days, with a hard (unplug or hold power button down) restart required to get the video to come back on. We tried different cables and monitors, with the same results. Returned the unit to Best Buy after 2 weeks of this when the video no longer worked at all. Was shipped a replacement unit, which is exhibiting the same issues. Have contacted iBUYPOWER Tech support with no response as yet. Even if they get it working now, my review will still be a 1 given the problems we've encountered thus far.

I only marked this as 4 stars because it’s not top of the line. This is a great starting pc for the avid gamer. It runs Apex Legends and Fortnite at 120 FPS. I love how the tempered glass window easily screws off making it super easy to upgrade in the future. The processor is mid-range but still great!! It can be put to boost mode which is a safe overclocking option intel intergrated. The gpu is good but there are options that just came out that are very dominant compared to it but it’s still good for a start. The keyboard sucks badly and two keys get stuck on it. The mouse is actually very nice. I would recommend getting a usb hub as there are a minimal amount of slots. Overall it’s a great pc and I’ve reccomended it to everyone.

This is a great gaming PC, especially for the price (I got it on sale for $699). Worked great right out of the box with no issues at all. The mouse is very nice, I just wish the keyboard would have been lit-up like the mouse and the PC Tower, because it is hard to read the keys (the keyboard needs improvement). However, the case is beautiful with the glass side plate. The drawbacks are the lack of a CD/DVD drive (a USB external will be needed to use any discs), which I added with an LG DVD drive. Overall, it is a good purchase, runs my racing games very well. I also like the upgrade options, as I already added an extra 8 GB of RAM (up-gradable to 64 GB), plus a Samsung 500 GB SSD. This machine is now super fast!

I received this computer after it was marked down 150$. I was going to buy a computer for around 550$, but ended up going with this one. The reason is because, for only 150$ more, the graphics card upgrade alone was worth it being an additional 200$ to get the same graphics card online. I saved myself a lot of time because it was prebuilt, beautifully, and was worth the large investment because it has the ability to be upgraded over time. The case itself is very user friendly, and you can get in to add upgrades easily, and it is very beautiful! In terms of the market price and technology, this deal was a bargain and am very happy with the purchase. It operates very efficiently, and is more power than most gamers/streamers or computer users need.

This desktop PC is touted as a "Gaming PC", and it has proven its worth. I'm a casual PC gamer, and this rig was practically ready to go right out of the box. There was a minor issue in executing the OS download, but the manufacturer's help forum provided an easy fix for the issue. All games I've downloaded, some quite graphic-intensive, have run smoothly and with great visuals. My only other complaint, aside from the aforementioned OS download issue, is that the keyboard and mouse provided are not wireless and may not be "up to snuff" for most PC gamers. That said, for the price I paid, I am thoroughly pleased with this PC and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive pre-built rig.
