    So Far So Good...

First off, I decided to deduct 1 star for the IBP customer service, very poor followup when I had an issue, took several emails. For such a simple thing (bad rgb remote), they should have responded and taken care of it in 1 day. Now the good stuff: Computer was very clean, cable management is excellent, packaging was was good, wish it had better documentation however. The motherboard AsROCK is a modified version of the Z370 Pro4 that has Wifi/BT included and some IBP customization however the standard drivers on the site should work if you need them. The CPU 17 8700 is the K version so you CAN OC. Temps run ~ low 30 to load ~ 65 The power supply is do-able, at 600W it handles the 1080 just fine, however if you plan on upgrading to an Ti or SLI (if possible) you would need more power. As mentioned the RGB remote did not work, had to tinker with it when IBP failed to help me. The lights, when on solid 1 color seem to emit a small whine, nothing you would notice, changing to the smooth aspect got rid of it. The computer is running great, boot time on the SSD is ~ 20 seconds if that. It blew away test scores, runs everything on Ultra, Fallout 4 is amazing, LOL I had to use AA because the card is too fast 150+fps and it was causing issues, rather then edit the configs, I just put AA on and limited it to 75hrz. I was a little disappointed when I saw the GPU was a Zotac 1080 "Mini card" I assume they had stock issues with all the mining people buying up good cards. The card itself runs very good, reviews are positive and it beats the Founders edition 1080's in FPS - bad part is the fans are stuck on high all the time, they don't adjust. I am not sure on OC since I've not tried it, but several sources give conflicted reports, some say minimum OC others say very good for OC. But with this card, you should not need too (at least at this point) Adta memory, nothing special, banks open to upgrade. The keyboard is rather cheap, the mouse is a little better, both playable if needed. I've tried the following games all Ultra settings and works great, you should get >100fps 1080p 4k >60: Fallout 4 PUGB Left 4 Dead 2 WOW Amnesia Rift TFC That being said, I will update if things change, but as of now its a very good system that would cost >$200 if you built it yourself.

    iBUYPOWER TRACE941 Review

Specifications: CPU: Intel Hex Core i7-8700K, 3.7 GHz Base Clock, 4.7 GHz Boost Clock Chipset: Z270 Ram: 16 GB DDR4 GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 8 GB Cooling: Liquid Cooling System Wireless Protocol: 802.11ac Storage: 1 TB Hard Drive, 240 GB SSD OS: Windows 10 Home 64 Power Supply: 600 Watt Benefits: – While $1,799.99 seems expensive, for everything included in the iBUYPOWER TRACE941 this price is PHENOMENAL. A desktop with these features would usually clear the $2,000+ price mark. – This computer is a powerhouse that includes an i7-8700K, a GTX 1080, AND a liquid cooling system. While this desktop would produce some great overclocking* numbers, there’s really no need to overclock anything in this system (at least not in the near future). – In the vast majority of games you’ll easily get 90+ frames per second in 1440p, and even smooth 60+ frames per second in many games in 4k. – This system will produce a phenomenal gaming experience, but it’s also well equipped for content creators too. – The 240 GB SSD is a really awesome bonus. Downsides: – The 600 W power supply is definitely sufficient, however if you’d like to add a second GTX 1080 down the line, you may want to look into upgrading the power supply. – Since this desktop is geared towards enthusiasts who are either gamers or content creators, the 1 TB hard drive may fill up fairly quickly, so you may need to add another hard drive and/or SSD at some point. Verdict: While $1,799.99 is a high price point for most, this PC isn’t for “most.” This is an enthusiast’s PC. If you’re looking for a top tier PC for resolutions of 1440p and above, this is the PC for you. The price is more than right, and if you’re an enthusiast who can afford it, you will not be dissapointed. *Overclock at your own risk!

    Great Computer, Iffy Support

This computer is a great value, especially if bought on sale. It is fast, quiet, and overall very well put together. The Windows 10 that is pre-installed is clean. My only real gripe from a hardware perspective is the Z370 Pro4-IB motherboard, which is a stripped down version of the ASROCK Z370 Pro4. It is missing a card slot and an m.2 connector. It is also not SLI compatible even though the system includes an NVIDIA video card. This motherboard is not supported on the ASROCK web site and neither is there any information on the IBUYPOWER website. In fact, this system isn't listed at all. Which brings me to my next point. I was having Bluetooth problems and called IBUYPOWER. I spent several minutes arguing over whether or not my system even has Bluetooth. Finally I asked to speak to someone else and was transferred to an unanswered line. I e-mailed the next day and over the course of a couple of days I discovered my system did not come with the combination WiFi/Bluetooth antennas which connect onto the back of the system. I filled out the necessary RMA to get them, and a week and a half later they have finally shipped via FedEx Smartpost, which is possibly the slowest method available. So, in summary, the system is great except for the strange choice of motherboard. If you have a problem, support from IBUYPOWER may be an issue.

-- So far the computer is stupid fast. My 13-yr old and I have been installing games and playing games on max settings "betting" on which one is going to cause this thing to slow down. No luck so far. --It's beautiful. The case looks incredible from the front and the side. The LED is done well and adds to the overall aesthetic without being over the top. The inside of the case is absurdly neat and clean and makes you grateful for the glass side. And a remote for changing the LED colors. I don't need that but it sure impresses the little ones in our house. --Built in wireless (which btw: a) was not mentioned on the box, and b) was specifically told by BestBuy employee that it did NOT have wireless). --Keyboard and mouse are okay. Nothing fancy (mouse does have color changing LED) but nice. One BIG complaint is the keyboard was damaged, cracked a bit on back. iBuyPower Customer Service is closed right now so we're not sure if we're going to wait and call or return to Best Buy to see what they'll do. --Packaging for computer states it comes with an owner's manual. Either mine is missing or iBuyPower and I need to have a discussion about the definition of "owner's manual." It would be REALLY nice to have one. There are a few things included in the box that I have NO idea what they're for, and it would be nice to know about some of the internal specs. --Biggest issue and the main reason it lost a star is the lack of 5.1 audio ports. Seems silly not to. I wish it had a few more USB ports too.

I spent about 7 months searching for the "right" computer. Bounced back and forth trying to figure out the best deal. The ibuypower computer concerned me because of the reviews I had read. Yesterday, I took a chance and purchased the Trace 941. It has the i7-8700K with 1080 graphics card. I have to say it has exceeded my expectations so far. If you are looking for top of the line parts, an Alienware might be for you. If you are looking for middle of the road parts in a solid system, it might be worth giving this a chance. The noise level is just above silent. Even with all the fans on, there is almost no noise. I did have to take off one star for the fan setup. I feel at least one more fan is needed. There are a few things I'm going to add, like a 1tb ssd drive, but there is plenty of room to add parts later. With the price of gpu's, I didn't feel this could be built for the price I got it at ($1549.00). Boot-up time is super fast and graphics are amazing. It is only day 2, but don't have any big complaints so far. There isn't a ton of bloatware installed, which was a big plus for me. For my first pre built computer purchase, I have to say I'm very satisfied!

This is a great PC. Typically I build my own PC's but with the increasing price of graphic cards and such, I opted to purchase a pre-built PC for the first time in many, many years. There are many things I like about this PC, but the best was that it didn't come with bloatware. You typically will get this when purchasing a DELL, HP, or any of those other big brand names. Also, the power of this PC is outstanding. My only complain is the Wi-Fi adapter. It is an onboard chip on the main board and it doesn't get anywhere near my top speeds that my iPhone can get (300-400mpbs). I have Google fiber and even connected it directly to the access point and still can't reach 200mbps that my iPhone can get wireless. So i'm not sure if the adapter is defective or just not reaching its full potential for whatever reason. All and all, I'd highly recommend this PC. But if you can afford the newer model with the 2080 card I'd highly recommend going that route, but if you want to save a few bucks, this is still a great buy.

so i only have two negative things to say. one of which was on my local best buy and not at all the pc. FIRST OFF OH MY GOD MY EXPERIENCE OF TRYING TO GET THIS PC WAS AWEFUL! i picked my pc out got home opened it up..... the wrong pc was in the box, i went back to get a different one.... we opened it at the store, the same issue again. then after all that they tried to get me to settle for a pc i didnt want so i ended up driving 2 hours to finally get the proper pc. my only issue is that even after reinstalling the RAM it only runs in single channel and those of you computer savy people out there know that single channel is pretty baaad. so i will end up needing to upgrade to a new set of ram. other than that i have almost reached the 1 year mark and it runs like a champ and it is being heavily used if not by me by others. i have not had a single issue with it and it is easily upgradable. you will want to get a mechanical keyboard and a new mouse though but if you cant afford it no big deal.

This is my first foray into a gaming PC. It just made more sense to buy prebuilt at this time. It was between this and the Alienware R7. Ended up going with this due to the SSD as the ibuypower was $100 less at the time of purchase and all other factors were a draw. Runs Wither 3 for me and Fortnite for my son just fine. I am very happy with the performance. The case is large and boxy. Just something to consider if you have a small space. I took off one star because there is a card included in the box that tells you to register to receive a free gift. In reality, you have to register and leave a review on the site where you purchased and jump through a few more hoops for a $10 gift card. I think the process should have been a little more transparent.

    Smooth Running Gaming PC

    Posted
    Nathan

So I won't lie, the first one I bought had issues. My screen would black out for a few seconds (that happened hours after setting it up), so I returned it. Best Buy was great with this. I got another, and it has run flawlessly. I'm still amazed at how smooth everything runs. I play games on it mostly (H1Z1, GTA 5, COD WAW, Fortnite), and while they aren't the most graphically intense games, they do run extremely well on this. The good: -Super fast and smooth. -Looks awesome -No bloatware -RGB. Because you kinda just have to now. If I had to put any disclaimers or downsides to this, I would say: - No CD/DVD/Blu-Ray Drive. I can live without, and if I need one, I'd buy and external one. - Only one fan (besides liquid cooling). So far temperatures are fine, so it might be okay. -Best Buy cut the price by $100 after I bought it, and just outside the return period. Felt a little disappointed there, but oh well.

    Nice System So Far

This computer is an upgrade for a gaming laptop I bought 7 years ago. It's been a while since I've played games. I mostly purchased it to better handle rendering videos and other design related projects. It has the added benefit of being able to play games in the event I choose to go back to playing them. So far I've just unboxed it and am updating and installing all kinds of programs and setting up accounts. The system is very quiet. I had to check several times to make sure that the fans were plugged in. I love the lights that come with it. It's definitely a nice feature. The keyboard and mouse that are included aren't the best things out there, but they work. If you're a serious computer user you'd probably have your own keyboard and mouse that are already tailored to your style and taste so it's not really a deal breaker. Only time will tell how this computer really holds up and I can't wait to put it to work.

The computer is an absolute beast... I have had no issues with it at all... The only thing i'm a little annoyed about is the motherboard is specific to ibuypower so you cannot update you BIOS without they're permission. Other than that its been very good. The cable management is top notch, build looks very clean and I was impressed of how good it looked with LEDs. I would definitely recommend it! The cooler is a Asetek 550lc which is an unbranded corsair h55 Motherboard is a ASrock z370 pro ib-4 My GPU was an GTX 1080 Asus Turbo 8gb (only one fan meh) The SSD in mine was a black panther 250gb Seagate Barracuda 1TB HD 16gb DDR4 Apacer Ram (not the best) I plan to upgrade anyways The P/S looks unbranded not sure of that the wattage

For a gaming computer, this thing is amazing. There are a couple issues I have, which have been mentioned in other reviews. The first issue is with the DVDs they send you in case you need to reinstall the OS or drivers. There is no DVD drive, so a USB stick would have been preferable. Also, the system specs on the MOBO has 6 SATA connections for additional drives. The computer comes with 1 SSD and 1 SATA already installed. There is a space to mount the 2nd SSD on the interior of the box, but there is only enough space to mount a 2nd SATA in the lower hidden compartment. The case is set up very nicely in the front, the hidden compartment has tons of cables jumbled around. I would still recommend this computer for the price as it does not come with any bloatware or useless hardware.

Looking for a pre-built system that would have enough speed to help me edit 4K video. Shopped a couple of places, came back to this system, or an Alienware from Dell. My wife had such bad luck with Dell, this had to be the choice. I am not familiar with iBuyPower, but I'm impressed with the machine so far, using it for the past two days. It is speedy, handles my budding video editing needs with speed and power. Looking forward to more than a few years of use - although I'm not sure any computer is "future proof." A positive experience so far.

Bought this PC online on 10/4/28 didn't make it to Anchorage to pick it up till 10/7/18. Everything seemed great at first till I got everything installed and started using it for what it was meant for, Gaming/Streaming. I get blue screened and PC shuts down after a couple hrs of running games (Streaming or not). I have to actually click the power switch off for a few minutes before turning back on to even get it to work again, otherwise it starts booting then no connection from monitor to graphics card. I am just waiting to see what IBuyPower does to resolve the issue as it is less than 20 days since getting home and getting it all hooked up and just over 20 days since the actual purchase date.

I would've given this product a 5 star but my first unit was defective so Geek Squad had to do an exchange, I am appreciative of Geek Squad because they setup my PC and tested it with no charge. My replacement PC runs like a champ and super quiet, the parts are usually completely random for example my first PC has an MSI GPU my second one has an Asus, my first one had a generic cooler my second one has a corsair cooler. I don't place the blame of getting the first PC defective on Best Buy as this was a problem with the manufacturer, overall great PC I am playing Far Cry 5 on native 4K on Ultra I am using the LG - 27UK600-W 27" HDR IPS LED 4K UHD FreeSync Monitor - Gray/White and it is so beautiful!

I have been looking for a gaming computer for awhile. I was going to pay part by part thinking I was going to save money, partially true I would have maybe saved $100 or so however I'd have to wait for the parts and put them together myself. Upon finding this beast I realized it has all the parts I initially wanted. For around the same cost too. Pulled the trigger took it home and boom. 4 stars only because I had to go into bios and confuse the boot options in order to get it to boot up. However everything else is amazing all the games I use to play on my dull out of date "gaming" computer now run exceptionally well and I can finally run games on mac settings...very happy would recommend to a friend.

Great PC. Glad I bought it. I got a good deal. Works great with the Oculus Rift for VR. I've only had it for a month. Can't complain one bit yet. Everything I've thrown at it so far works well. Games, Video, Streaming, etc. I only wish it had more integrated USB ports. My previous PC had 4 on the front and 6 on the back. This one has 2 in the front and 5 on the back. I have a USB hub but I guess I still see it as a slight downgrade for ports. The Oculus Rift takes up 3 USB ports alone. Everything is great regardless. I'll have to update my review after more time. If you like the specs and can afford it, you should buy it.

Pros - easy installation/setup - clean internal design - very price competitive for the CPU/GPU class - all my games worked without an issue - internal wifi card is a nice option Cons - 7.1 audio is not available fully at the back - only 5.1 is; I had to use the front headphone port to obtain the side channels - product documentation was very light - only a quick setup and no detail manual was provided. Was able to locate the mobo manual online - not sure the glass side panel is worth the aesthetics - I have to worry about it breaking and EMI - would be nice if a metal replacement was included in the box Overall I am very satisfied

This is a nice system with plenty of power in it, it has a sleek design with some nice RGB lighting that helps accentuate the system. I would give this system 5 stars but I was disappointed to find that it had fairly poor cable management. To clarify the front of the system facing the tempered glass looks amazing, but when you open the rear panel, the cables look like they were just jammed in and closed off instead of taking the time to route them and zip tie them in. So if you're not planning on adding any addition drives to the system that would require you to access the back panel, then you have nothing to fear. TLDR: Worth it

Picked up the Desktop today and looks good so far, fast and with good quality video output. Keyboard feels odd but mouse is awesome with rgb. Had some issues connecting to the wireless network and needed some help with the ibuyPower tech customer support but after 2 hours straight calling them people picking up several times and leaving me to hold for long times before even asking the problem , one person attended the call and for some reason just wasn't interested in what had to ask and hung up. A little disappointed in the customer support but the product seems great, totally worth the price tag.
