Slate MR AMD Ryzen 7 is a beast!

I have read some reviews and have even watched some content creators bash iBuy Power for being a regrettable purchase, but my experience was anything but that. I do not regret my purchase at all. I bought the iBUYPOWER - Slate MR Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - 16GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB - 480GB SSD + 1TB HDD from Best Buy and I love it. It was packed really well and even had that protective foam inside the case. From what I can tell all the parts are high quality and great for a beginner to intermediate PC Gamer.
Especially because the PC market is crazy right now, this build was a super good deal. With the components listed above I tested the following games on high graphics settings at 1080p:
Halo Infinite Multiplayer- 85 FPS
Fortnite: 120 FPS
Warzone: 144 FPS
Tales of Arise: 120 FPS
Resident Evil Village: 120 FPS
It doesn't get too hot and isn't too loud.
My biggest piece of advice is to do the research on the model you are getting. You don't know specifically what brands you are getting but at least choose the level you will be happiest with.

I love my PC! Everything was nicely packaged and bought it from best buy w/ quick shipping. I'm not a huge computer nerd, just use it for casual gaming and trading stocks. The build is very solid and you can tell it's made from quality materials. Definitely recommend for pre-built PCs as long as it has the components you need.

Decided to order a prebuilt PC because I was looking for an improvement on the hardware I already had in my gaming laptop. I found one through BestBuy from iBuyPower that was really solid and relatively cheap. I ordered and the first one came with a shattered glass panel, but this was the shipping companies fault. I returned my computer (Slate MR gaming desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8 GB) to the local Best Buy and I was given a new one from iBuyPower a few days later. The return was hassle free. It runs fantastically. The mouse and keyboard that are included for free are nice additions as extras.

The computer is working great! However, fans were unplugged, most likely due to transit and the keyboard that came in the box wasn't the one in the picture. Overall, a great value though!

I bought this computer during Black Friday sale. When I received the package it was intact. The PC is very attractive and looks like a true Gaming PC. However, I experienced many issues in setting up and loading windows. Firstly, the system would not load Windows! I kept getting an error message. Got a Tech guy to help out. We had to go to DOS to open a file and change to "hexadecimal" and change value to "3". That worked and windows loaded. Secondly, I am having many problems when I connect my gaming headphone (RUNMUS) to the i/o at the top of the case. Going through the sound settings I am not able to get my mic to work, nor will I get sound through the earpiece. Thirdly, the bottom fan RGB lights were not coming on. I had to open the back panel and realized that the connector for the RGB was not connected. Once plugged in, the RGB light came on and now all fans work & light up well. Fourthly, one of the Ram sticks was not installed, it looked like it was just thrown inside the case together with the foam protector. I had to install myself. Also, up the CPU fan I got was black and not blue as in the advert on BetBuy website. Fifthly, I loaded Fortnite and for some strange reason, the FPS are unstable and keeps dropping with highs 240 and lows 45. I have to play with all settings at their lowest to get any stability and it still fluctuates. (The GPU is AMD Radeon 6600XT -all settings like medium, high, epic cause massive FPS drops). I tried improving the the settings in the Radeon System Software settings but no improvement. I also tried to overclock still no improvement. (I have a laptop -ryzen5 4800h with gpu 1650 and it is outperforming this desktop PC with smoothness, speed, stable gaming fps and use of microphone and gaming headphone). Can anyone provide help on solving my "gaming headphone SOUND" problem? Can someone give advise on how to improve and get stable FPS from this GPU and CPU in Fortnite? I will give an update if I resolve any of my issues.

1 Dead USB port/great customer service experience

Setup was super easy and everything runs great! Everything was shipped nice and neat. I had one dead USB port on the front panel when the computer arrived. I checked the 3.0 connector and unplugged/plugged it back in and updated the drivers but ultimately the port was dead. I contacted IBP and they responded to me in a very timely manner and offered up multiple solutions and options for me to fix the port and they made it right super quick. My experience with customer services was very positive and they were really helpful. Unfortunate that one of the USB ports was dead but sometimes things happen. IBP made it right quick and they were very helpful and easy to work with. Computer is awesome and runs great. Plus I just bought a 3.0 hub so is really isn't to big an issue but customer service was solid.

Excellent PC, packaged nicely, and started up buttery smooth. This was a huge upgrade from my old gaming laptop I had for the past five years. Since GPU prices are insanely high right now I decided to go with a prebuilt and this PC is a great starter PC. Everything runs flawlessly, very good consistent FPS rates (best for 1080p gaming), and also pretty quiet as well. The only problem I've noticed is that the CPU cooler that came with the prebuilt isn't the best cooling wise so I purchased a different CPU cooler and replaced it. Not that the CPU cooler is bad or anything, but CPU temps might get a little high when playing intensive games/long gaming sessions. This PC overall is awesome and I recommend it!

I had done massive research on the PC I was planning to purchase. When I finally got the PC, I did have a few minor issues out of the box with mine.
Issue 1: I had no video when booting it up for the first time. Turns out that the graphics card was not completely plugged in.
Issue 2: I didn't have sound at all. I had to go into Device Manager and uninstalled the sound drivers. Once I rebooted the PC, the sound worked fine.
Issue 3: One of the fans was not lit up so I had to plug back into the motherboard.
Outside of all of those issues, the PC performs great! I had installed a 2TB Hard drive just so I had room for the games I plan to install.

This computer has great power for the money. Particularly if you look at Intel/Nvidia's offerings in terms of performance. The new Ryzen 7 is a major step up from Intel's 10th gen Cor i7 often sold in this price range. Only thing is when my particular model arrived, it has an intel sticker on it, which made me suspicious but turned out to have the wrong sticker but correct parts. Additionally, my top RGB fan does not light up, but functionally still works. I would give it a 5 star for quality of the product itself, but my particular model makes it a 4 star.

Great first gaming desktop for my son! I would have rated this review lower due to motherboard not powering on but we figured it out. The RAM was not seated correctly and as soon as we fixed that issue it ran like a champ. The price for the specs was the reason I purchased it and best of all my son loves it. The look on his face on Christmas eve was priceless.

PC works awesome. One thing I noticed, it said it comes with a 480gb, but mine has a 512, not complaining though lol. Setup was super easy and its a huge upgrade from my old one (i7-4790k, GTX 970, etc.) And as much as I like Intel more, this is a very good pc.

Just transitioned from a gaming laptop to this beauty, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I made a snap decision while it was on sale during Black Friday, and it has not disappointed me. It's fast, quiet, and it's looks great! Would recommend to a friend.

Ive had this Pc for a few days now and am really liking the Proformance and speed of the this rig. I did have a hard time getting it to turn on so I had one of my more techy friends come help me out. So just a heads up that it might not come ready to go out of the box. Just something to think about when purchasing. Overall really like the computer.

Nice fast PC. No bogging during game play. Lights in the case are a cool touch. I priced out components equal to this to build and this was $1200 cheaper as a package
