Customers admire the TraceMR Gaming Desktop's performance and graphics capabilities, frequently praising its ease of setup and excellent value for the price. However, some users reported issues with the CPU cooler and power supply, while others found the included keyboard needed improvement. The positive feedback on performance and graphics outweighs the negative comments regarding certain components.

Good Gaming PC for Beginner/Intermediate PC Gamers

Do you know a fair amount of knowledge about gaming PCs to some extent, but not enough to feel comfortable making your own? Do you want a powerful PC that can do the job for high-end gaming, content creation, and multi-tasking that is still pretty customizable to switch out parts and replace them as years go buy, easing you into the practice of knowing parts well enough to eventually build your own? Well this computer is definitely the one for you, in my opinion!
I only had this computer for two days, but I'm very happy with it! It comes with a lot of beginner-friendly quick-start guides, a couple of manuals, and a looooooot of foam to keep the computer safe when it comes in the gigantic box that it does.
Maybe it was because of the fact I'm not a complete professional when it comes to computers, but it was tricky to install my Samsung 860 EVO SSD card into the slot because of the tiny screws it needs. I couldn't find those screws in the bag, (there was a bag of all sorts of screws that came with the computer, and not all of them fit the 2.5" SSD I wanted to mount.) This isn't a bad thing - but newer folks like me should be wary not to lose your screws!
The performance of the computer is great and so far I have no complaints there. Not a single studder on Minecraft! A very smooth 144 fps experience! (I will review how it performs on more demanding games, such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 in the future.)
However, my only concern is the long-term future of my computer. Again, I am not a computer expert, but the case of the PC did raise concerns, even before I bought it. I am not sure how much airflow my computer is getting and if it will be too hot for long periods of time, causing any hardware inside to die quicker. More knowledgeable PC gaming friends of mine said that the case may not be the best kind of case in terms of airflow, but I'm now knowledgeable myself to give too much of a strong opinion. However, I felt that the sheer fact they had said that may be food for thought for anyone buying this down the line.
(Worst comes to worse, I could always just play with the PC without the glass case on, right? Just don't do anything silly around the PC to get anything caught/damaged and it should be okay.)
Overall, this is a little bit of a pricy computer but you are paying for the labor of someone else putting together the pieces for you! If price is a concern, then buying the parts and making a computer yourself may be desirable. (But I'm not skilled enough for that!) However, if you are willing to have to spend a couple of hundred dollars more, then I highly recommend this computer from iBUYPOWER!
(I will update my review in case anything notable and/or serious happens down the line for my computer.)

Buyer Beware

TL;DR: Avoid this system for its lackluster cooling, cheap part choice, and faulty hardware out of the box.
I work as a computer repair technician. I have a plethora of diagnostic tools to be able to thoroughly test this system and history benchmarking systems as well as building them. My graphics card (RTX 2070) recently died and I needed a system to get going again since I spend a good amount of time on my computer. The GPU market is pretty awful and it was cheaper to buy a new system outright, coupled with the fact that I get tired parting out systems and building everything through my work, so a prebuilt fit the bill. However, I've come across a concerning amount of issues with this system and am writing this review so others don't fall into the same territory.
**The Good**
- COOLING: The system has three front-mounted fans that intake air from a grate in the side. While this in itself isn't the best method of cooling, some systems use only one fan. There is a decent amount of airflow in the system, though one may want to alter the fan curves in the system BIOS for better cooling performance, something the average consumer isn't likely to do.
- PARTS: The system has parts that may otherwise be hard to come by these days, primarily the GPU, but the motherboard is decent and the processor is a true i7-10700F, the -F variant meaning it has no onboard graphics and thus a dedicated graphics card is REQUIRED for display. This is about where the positives for the parts choice ends.
- OUT-OF-BOX EXPERIENCE: The system boots to Windows 11 and gets you going with some software out of the box to get you going, but doesn't have bloatware on it. The system plugged up, powered on, and worked /okay/ out of the box. The audio, front panel connectors, USB-3, and most other connectors all properly situated on the motherboard and the cable management is actually pretty good in the back of the computer.
- OPERATING SYSTEM CHOICE: System comes pre-loaded with Windows 11 Home, which, if you're familiar with Windows 10 and wish to stay with that experience, can be a bit of a downer. However, given that it's the newest and most up-to-date software, I give it a pass.
- BIOS SETTINGS: The system did come with the XMP profile enabled for the higher clock speed on the RAM. This is a small touch but is important nonetheless to ensure maximum system performance. I have attached an image of the BIOS screen verifying this setting.
**The Bad and the Ugly**
- PENNY PINCHING: The system uses some generic RAM from a brand I have personally never heard of, NEO FORZA. However, this passed memory tests, so it is sufficient I suppose. The cooler is a cheap cooler from a poor parts manufacturer, Deep Cool, who provides may System Integrators like iBuyPower and CyberPowerPC with cheap coolers. The thermal performance of this stock cooler is atrocious. I recommend everyone who buys this system to swap coolers soon after use with an inexpensive alternative like the CoolerMaster Hyper 212. The power supply, arguably one of the more important parts in the system, is some generic, no-name, no-branding 600W power supply. This isn't a good sign for the rest of the system.
- DRIVE CONNECTIONS: The 1TB HDD was not properly connected in the system out of the box, with the SATA power connector not being connected at all. The 480GB Team Group (still not a reputable brand but at least I've heard of them) SSD was the only drive properly connected, so at least you could still boot the PC, but you wouldn't have the extra storage to put games and documents.
- QUALITY OF DRIVE: I tested the two drives out of the box before even booting into Windows 11 so as to retain as much of the drive health before my own use, although I did swap out for my own drives after initial setup. The SSD tested fine, however the 1TB HDD included with the system immediately tested with worn out sectors, as if this was a used or otherwise poorly handled drive. This can lead to an early drive failure and can force the consumer to replace the drive much earlier than should be expected. This information blew me away, that they would ship a system with a worn out hard drive that is supposedly new. I have attached a picture barely a percent into the test showing the worn sectors.
- GPU MALFUNCTION: The graphics card inside, a Gigabyte RTX 3060 Ti Eagle OC 8G LHR (Lite Hash Rate), had a fan (one of two) that wouldn't spin up unless you physically touched it at which point it would spin up to 2600RPM (they are supposed to max out at ~2050) and go back to normal functioning speeds. However, if they slowed back down to 0, the issue would persist again. This leads to the graphics card quickly reaching dangerous levels of heat under load. Seeing as some may buy this system specifically for the GPU and sell the rest of the system with how the GPU market is currently, this is utterly unacceptable.
- USB MALFUNCTION: The front-panel USB-A 3.0 ports in the front panel randomly ceased functioning after roughly a week of use. No software related issues such as drivers or updates, they simply stopped functioning. I even disconnected and reconnected the USB 3 header on the motherboard, but no USB device I plug in is recognized by the system or even receives power. I genuinely am unsure what would cause this, but this is also unacceptable for a nearly $1800 computer.
Given the severity of the issues regarding the GPU and front panel USB, I will be returning this system for another replacement. Hopefully this next system does not experience the same issues and I am simply unlucky. However, given my initial experience with what is supposed to be a "Gaming Out-of-the-box" system, I would not recommend this to anyone else other than out of extreme desperation.

Pretty good computer if you replace the CPU cooler

I'm not a computer expert by any means but I've owned this computer for a good 3+ months now and I have been able to play pretty much any game at high settings 1440p. It looks amazing, runs amazing and easy to set up.
Even with no computer building knowledge I was able to replace the bad parts with YouTube tutorials. The picture is with my new CPU cooler not the stock one (also I know the cable management is a little bad in the case I'm just too lazy right now to fix the small things).
Cons:
Now for the cons. You'll definitely need to replace the CPU cooler asap as others have stated & probably the power supply as well. My cpu was running kinda hot even when playing games that aren't that demanding. I switched them and my cpu immediately lowered 10-20 degrees meaning the stock cooler is complete garbage.
I also didn't trust the power supply after reading some reviews about no name brand ones and replaced that as well.
If you wanna know what I replaced the cpu cooler and power supply with:
PSU : Seasonic FOCUS GX-750, 750W 80+ Gold, Full-Modular
CPU Cooler: Scythe Fuma 2 CPU Air Cooler (Barely Fit)
However due note that the CPU cooler I chose barely fit in the case so you probably wanna get a smaller variant. Don't be like me and just buy things randomly without checking measurements xD
As for the PSU it fits perfectly but the 750w power is a little overkill especially if your like me who doesn't wanna get into overclocking.
Basically I do not recommend these replacement parts as it isn't the most efficient replacements for the reasons mentioned above, but I wanted to still tell you what I did to show you they did work and now my computer runs perfectly with no risk of overheating/PSU problems. Also that even I with no computer building knowledge was able to replace those parts.
Lastly, due note that of course you void the warranty if you replace parts. My score for this does go down if you're not willing to replace at least the cpu cooler because of how bad the base cooler is.

The first one of these I bought had some insurmountable software or hardware issue that I couldn't troubleshoot. I tried a fresh windows install, swapping out all of the drivers for the most recent versions, etc. After 1-2 days of even the lightest gaming the computer would crash. I brought it back to best buy and had them send me another. The 2nd one worked pretty well but the CPU was overheating playing FPS games. I swapped out the CPU cooler for a higher quality one and I've been using this PC for 2 years with no issue. I would recommend adding an extra $200 to the price tag for a new cooler. Make sure you know how to double check the installation for the hardware and also check the computer soon after purchase to maintain the excellent return policy from best buy to get a new one if your first doesn't function well.

For being a beginner gamer it was everything I needed!! I typically play Escape for tarkov, rainbow six siege, fifa and hell let loose and graphics were usually set at medium. It’s always ran pretty smooth and I’ve had almost no issues with any of my components. Although from the start I did buy a separate mouse and keyboard.

Bought this as an upgrade from my old PC I got from a friend. Super awesome pre built, runs games like Vanguard on DLSS Ultra Performance at 180fps. Already upgraded the RAM sticks to 4 16GB Corsair RGB Vengeance Pro sticks and looking to swap out the cpu cooler to an Aio cooler! All in all great PC for the price! Highly recommend!

I was on the market for a respectable Desktop Gaming PC for entry level 1440P and 4K gaming on my new 4K HDR monitor. And happened to discover this particular unit available at a local Best Buy store.
I gotta admit, the specs for this unit were impressive considering the Price. With a powerful Intel i7 processor combined with a RTX 3060Ti and 16GB of DDR4 RAM.
To be clear, this is still not exactly ideal for running newer PC games at 4K resolution. But is very respectable for solid 1440P gaming at High and ULTRA settings even on demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
The fact that this unit comes complete with a RTX 3060Ti at this price point makes this a very compelling offer since this card is ray tracing compatible and supports next gen features found on the latest gaming consoles. But don't expect performance that blows these next gen machines out of the water.
Overall, this is a VERY solid Gaming PC for the price and I recommend it to anybody on the market for a competitive next gen gaming PC. Especially considering the GPU, cooling system, and PSU can be swapped out and upgraded down the line.

The rig was pretty good. I got mine with an AIO which works amazing. Keeps my CPU below 60 Celcius while gaming. The GPU was really good. However, within 3 weeks, the cpu cooler died, I reached out to support and they immediately replace it for me with a better one. Overall, it's a beast, runs cool and quite too.

I mean what can Say but wow Running 3060ti Installed 32gb of Ram, but it's not needed I did it because I just want to have it simply put, the rig itself comes with 16 more than enough, recently installed and ran Halo infinite on Ultra settings like c'mon show me what you got, and the desktop laughed at me as I was running through the game flawlessly no tear no stutter truly impressed, Last thing really to note the max temp of the GPU running ultra was 58 degrees on three monitors 1 LG 32 utlragear and 2 27 inch Acer monitors. thumbs up for any type of job or game it performs.

BAD QUALITY!
1) First machine died 2 hours after I set up my account. PSU was completely dead. Returned and exchanged for a new one
2)The replaced one arrived.. POOR QUALITY again!
2.1) The RAM failed to operate at 3000MHz speed. The motherboard defaults the RAM speed at 2133MHz.
2.2) The CPU temperature reaches 100 Degree C while I plays a very light game (Valorant).
2.3) fan always fail to crank up to compensate the workload.
In Conclusion, It seems this company doesn't care about the manufacturing quality and customer service was not knowledgeable.
