Worst movie I have ever watched!!!!t do not think anyone should buy this movie.

I bought the DVD Idiocracy because I like the movie and could never find it anywhere; however I never received it.

This movie is great if you want to see some silly, goofball comedy, yet it has an eerie undertone to it. If smart people in this country keep putting off having kids while those that don't care continue to have them at alarming rates, this freakish alternate version of America could play out, though maybe not to the extent of the movie. I was laughing yet kinda spooked out at the same time. Smart people, you owe it to the FUTURE of America to insure the survival of the species. With great intelligence comes great responsibility.

To anyone who has seen Back to the Future 2, yeah they got a couple of things right which to me is amazing, but this movie shows how our society will be in the future. This satirical film follows the story of a military officer being frozen from modern times and waking up in the future where society has basically lost intelligence, hit huge poverty levels, and morality hitting an all time low. I don't want to spoil this movie for you but it is a must watch film that was directed by Mike Judge who has done the series King of the Hill and the cult classic film, Office Space.

This movie is full of dumb stupid comedy, but done so in a witty sense. A great movie to watch with friends so you can make fun of it. I must disagree with some reviews regarding expectation, only because i saw this movie with very few if any, so i guess its a matter of perspective. Though not anywhere near Borat or Super Troopers offensive, it doesn't pull punches either with language. If you like Super Troopers, and other such semi slapstick comedy, this is for you. Looking for serious somewhat realistic comedy, then there's plenty out there to choose. This is a good buy tough at the 7.50 price.

Idiocracy is not high art but it's dumb fun. Idiocracy features Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard, and the expendables - Terry Crews. This movie comes from the mind of Beavis and Bhead, Mike Judge, who writes, directs and produces the movie. The movie exagerates the idea of the dumbing of society. This movie has a good amount of laughs. The is only about 88 minutes and I would recommend it for a fun rainy day Saturday afternoon viewing. I enjoyed this movie and would definitely recommend this movie. Thank you for reading my review.

I saw that it was by Mike Judge (office space......) and I couldn't resist. My Dad and I watched it and could not stop laughing. I have watched the movie about 20+ times and it is still hilarious every time. It is "stupid funny" with some intelligent humor (at times, despite the plot). Overall, great movie, and I recommend watching with all your friends, you'll laugh all night.

Idiocracy takes us into the distant futuristic society of which, maybe extreme, shows the result of our falling as an intelligent society. It is pure hilarity, in the vein of Baseketball and Office Space. Luke Wilson and Maya Rudolph (SNL) are the two experiments sent into the future and both do a good job in their roles. Dax Shepard is perhaps the funniest he's ever been. I have seen this movie many times, and will many more. A must watch for anyone with a good sense of humor!

It's about a future in which people are too stupid to function. It's a reality that is coming true, so it's more of a documentary of the furutre; so it's kinda sad when you think about it. But it is a good laugh when you see how true it really is.

This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. It is a real shame that this film did not receive a wider theatrical release. This movie demonstrates (in a funny, none to serious way) where the dumbing down of American society will eventually lead. You will look at Fuddruckers and Carl's Jr in a whole new light after seeing this movie.

Mike Judge takes a snapshot of today's social and educational decline and extrapolates the ramifications 500 years into the future. I recommend watching this video multiple times, as the scenes and sets are very busy and include a lot of humorous material. In other words...this movie is funny. Watch it.
