Massive loud cracking noise

I really like it, but I have issues with intermittent massive loud cracking issue in either plugging it in my PC, laptop or Motorola Razr. I updated the firmware and thought it was gone but out of nowhere, it came back. Losing a hearing for $79 isn't worth it, Nope, out of the door you go, returned!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Works good, kicks thing up quit a bit. Thats with just the 3.5mm headphone jack. Can't wait to hear with the 4mm connection.
