The zipper with two tabs is quality made. It fits perfectly, and there is still room to slip a slim mouse in the case. The cord might fit, but I wouldn't recommend it. It suited my needs to a t.

The inside liner is plushy and soft. The outer fabric seems durable. Overall the case will protect the Macbook and it is a joy to use.

Well built and protects your laptop from scratches

Although it is too big, it is good enough to protect it from scratches, dust, spills, etc. It is still slim and not too bulky to put it in my bag.
