This Independence Day 2 movie is almost as good as the original one. The original one is a little better because of its original storyline. This one was basically a remake with almost the same storyline but overall it was a good movie.

Everytime this movie comes on TV, I HAVE TO STOP AND WATCH IT. No matter what part it is... I'm stuck. I waited for the DVD, then just decided to wait for the Blu-Ray. The transfer holds up well. And the price was hard for me to pass up

Independence movie is definitely a good movie for the family. It has a lot of great graphics and a cool story line bringing back a lot of the original characters from the first Independence Day. I would definitely recommend this movie.

Fun SciFi film to watch around the 4th of July. Never mind all the plot holes - at the end of the day, it's a lot of fun and somehow still tugs at your patriotic spirit.

Time passes too quickly, and I suddenly felt old to realize that this film is 20 years old! This film owned it back in the day, and to get to enjoy it an extended cut is even better. The steelbook is a good collectable piece.

The movie itself is amazing. This is my first 4K movie, but still deciding if picture is that much better than a standard high definition movie. Definitely buy the movie, toss us however as to whether it is worth the extra money for 4k.

Excellent blue ray quality, lot's of action. This is a very nice edition. A movie that one doesn't bother seeing more than once. As a matter of fact every time I watch it again I find something else that escaped before.

This is one of the best big budget sci-fi movies ever made! And this new edition is awesome! Loaded with special featrues and new presentations, so even if you already have it on disc, BUY IT AGAIN!!! You will not be dissapointed!

I bought the very first DVD when this movie was released. I had to have the 20th Anniversary Blu-ray. Wow...what a difference from in the depth of color, when it's on a Sony Ultra 4K TV. from the Magnolia Store at Best Buy... SWEET !!!

This is a fantastic update to a great movie. They did a good update to the video content and an even better update to the audio with DTS-X.

I've seen this movie too many times, but it's a great end of the world movie where Aliens try to take over the world. It's even better in Blu-ray and the 20th anniversary edition has an extended cut. Great movie for a great price.

I bought this movie to add the 4K version of this fantastic classic film to my collection, both physical and digital. I got everything I wanted with one exception, NO 4K Digital Copy! That's right. The Digital copy is in Standard HD. That's 1080p ONLY! Not 4K! I thought to myself that I might have missed something so I quickly checked the box for the 3rd time (1st was at the store, and the 2nd was at home before opening the product), and just as I thought, there was nothing on the front or back of the retail packaging that says the Digital copy only comes in Standard HD. I even checked the Paper Inserts and there is nothing there either. At this point I was very upset because All other companies such as Disney, Sony, Universal Studios and so many others DO offer 4K Digital Copies with their 4K films at this point. So, I called the FOX Customer service hotline number on the back of the box and they told me strait to my ears that they do not offer 4K digital copies for any of their movies, period! According to them (Fox customer service) all HD & 4K movies that come with Digital copies, only come with Standard HD Digital copies regardless of whether the physical movie is in 4K or Standard HD. So, this means that If you buy a 4K version of a FOX film. You will NOT be getting a 4K digital copy. Only a Standard HD version. Because of this, I am heavily disappointed in this purchase since It took opening the product and calling their customer service hotline to find this out. Plus, because I opened the product to realize this, I can't return this purchase. So, I tell you now. I love this movie to the ends of the earth. But I will not be buying any more FOX films until they start offering 4K Digital Copies with their 4K movies. Again, I love this film. But as it stands, this purchase was a blunder from the moment I opened the box.

Who doesn't love this movie?! I really enjoyed the upgraded resolution. Felt like I was watching for the first time.

Independence Day is the greatest movie of its time, a lot of action and drama and sci-fi, I would recommend this film to anyone that's why I gave it five stars.

Independence Day is a classic. I always liked it and watched it over and over when they have it on cable. Now I have it in my collection. I also bought the new version, Independence Day Resurgence. Both of them are really good.

Wow-- This steelbook release was $8, and for that low price I just had to grab it up! The 20th Anniversary retrospective was fun (if short) and the movie was just as fun as the last time I watched it - MANY years ago!

Really enjoyed this movie when it first released in 1996. After part 2 coming out 20 years later I had to pick this classic up to introduce my daughter to part 1. We both enjoyed this movie. The 4K resolution was worth the upgrade.

I remember when the first trailer for this movie aired during the super bowl! CHILLS!!! The movie did not disappoint, great cast great plot and awesome effects. So Glad this as been updated for blu ray and is really affordable!!

A classic remastered The resolution was awesome if you’re a fan of independence day this is a must have for your collection highly recommended enjoyed watching it again in 4K quality.

This is always a go to Action movie that never dissapoints. In this new release, the picture and effects are crystal clear, and the 7.1 soundtrack is outstanding. Bass tracks will leave the house shaking in any good Home Theatre!
