We bought this when our other baby monitor (a few years old) died reandomly. Picture quality is good; you can hear everything you need and the volume control is good. Build quality feels decently solid. My favorite part is that ots really pretty easy to set up. It was everythi g we needed and felt worth the money.

Do not buy open box, warranty not valid

I purchased this item as an open box in excellent condition. I have always been told you are given the same 1 year manufacturer's warranty. When I received the item, I opened it and checked it quickly to make sure the camera and monitor worked, which they did. However I naively did not check to make sure the camera microphone worked. As the nursery was being renovated, I did not open the product box for another two months which put me past the best buy return period. I understood I would have to deal with the manufacturer, infant optics. They were very responsive and professional but advised their warranty does not apply to open box products. They redirected me back to best buy. I tried multiple customer support people via chat and phone who kept redirecting me. They advised as the product was past the return period that they could not help. I advised I was not asking them to refund but for someone to help me with the infant optics manufacturer. I thought that best buy as an authorized retailer might be able to assist with resolving with the manufacturer but no such luck. As for the product, it is well made and easy to use. The range is more than enough for our two story house. The speaker on the camera and monitor is clear. I will continue to purchase from infant optics but I will buy from another authorized retailer. I believe there is a hardware issue with the microphone on my unit. I ordered another infant optics camera only and the sound works perfect. Not sure if I had a bad unit and that is why the previous owner returned it.

After searching for weeks on a baby monitor to get I'm glad I stumbled upon this product at my local best buy. Immediately searched for reviews and was amazed at how well reviewed it was. Once I set this up at home it was easy to see why. Great audio, video clarity and enough additional features to make it worth its price point. Highly recommend to any current or expecting parents!

This was a great purchase for my daughter's first baby, its still going strong after 2 years, she is due with her second baby and we are going to purchase another one of these to monitor the new baby as well! We wanted to get the add on camera, but it says it is not compatible with the DXR8 camera, so we will just get another DXR8 camera. Very pleased with this purchase!

We had the fancy WiFi baby monitor that you could view on your phone but it was very unreliable (at least for us) and it drained the phone battery very quickly. We got fed up and got this and it has been great! It doesn’t rely on internet service which we also liked for security reasons and the charge on the monitor lasts a really long time. It rotates really well and the sound is great. Good buy for the money.

Needed a monitor with a clear picture and good distance available between monitor and camera. This does just that and has some other features I don't really use. I like that the screen can be turned off while sound still available so it doesn't light up our room. Works great with night vision too.

We had a Motorola baby monitor initially but the charging port stopped working so we had a hard time charing it. This is actually our second Infant optics monitor. We now have one for each of our kids. The picture and range is great. Our first monitor is almost 3 years go and is still going strong!

Had to buy camera after neighbor wanted their loaner back. After research, decided on this one. Great picture quality, can set display to go off after X minutes with no loud sounds but leave sound on (which is great at night). Good battery life. Seems well made. No internet connectivity which to me is a plus.

If you want a simple video camera that’s not accessible via the Internet; this is it. While not as high tech as some of its competitors, it provides the range, and monitoring capabilities of a basic audio/video feed that, when coupled with a wide angle lens (sold separately), can really allow for one to keep a good close eye on their loved ones. Recommended. 3 other cameras (also sold separately) can be added and cycled through automatically as well, by the way.

This is a pretty good baby monitor. I enjoy the movement of it as well as the included night vision and temp reading. Only downside is that wifi interference can cause the signal to degrade or drop entirely. Make sure you don't have your phones on the 2.4 GHz signal next to these. Will definitely cause issues with the monitor.

Great monitor and camera. Not the clearest of picture on the monitor, but the pan and tilt camera is a definite plus. Great battery life on the remote unit. Very happy with this upgrade from our older Motorola set.

This camera is excellent. I use it to view my 98 year old Aunt while she’s sleeping. It helps me rest better knowing that I can hear her if she’s awake. I wouldn’t be without this product.

Easy to get set up and use. Great screen and monitor and hand held screen can be separated a good distance. I like that the monitor can be hooked up to multiple cameras. It seems as though the thermometer is not the most accurate though

We love this monitor. Since our master bedroom is downstairs and the baby room is upstairs, I was worried that it would pickup, but it did! It has great quality video. Great volume. Awesome range!

This is my second one of these baby monitors. I loved my first one and I purchased a second to have at my parents house when the little one was over there. It comes with 2 lenses but I wish they would have included the wide angle and not the zoom lens. I've had no use to switch out the lens based on usage in both houses. One downside is that the 2.4Ghz frequency can be disrupted by other devices very easily. Even 2.4 wifi on your phone can disrupt the signal. The signal is very strong and I was able to have full signal anywhere in my house or my parents house. Even with the signal issue and competing frequencies, I still think this is a 5 star product.

The set up and instructions were clear and easy to follow. The image and sound are good and it is really easy to add a second camera. Twins in this case. Just as described by manufacturer and professional reviewers. Good product
