I purchased this for a friend and also for a preteen that has difficulty getting out of bed for school in the morning. The friends is quite pleased. The price was great and it has battery back up.

I was looking for wireless headphones - these are not a very good option because they rely on the accompanying base being nearby. I returned them.

I'm amazed that wireless headphones can sound so great!

These headphones use radio wavelengths to send the sound (they are not Bluetooth) which means they require a large transmitting "antennae" (you can see it in the product photo), so this is for home use only (not portable). You will actually pick up radio stations on some frequencies (you hit a "scan" button to find your TV audio - at which point you won't hear the radio station). You also get a faint hiss when the TV audio is silent, which is barely noticeable. BUT the sound quality is really good. Distance is good, too (radio transmits further than Bluetooth, generally). The headphones are very comfortable, but can get a little sweaty after a couple of hours of intense movie watching or game play. NOTE: These are not gaming headsets because they do not have a mic, but you can set up your x-box audio to use these and just keep your headset with a mic draped on your neck and hear everything through these headphones. Why bother including all these details? Why a 4 star rating? Because this is one of the only non-Bluetooth wireless TV headphones I could find and they are priced WAY lower than any Bluetooth headphones (I actually called in a price match and Best Buy changed their online price to be the best price you can find online - you're welcome) These headphones have been a game changer in my house. I can stay up late playing a game/watching TV without disturbing the family and my son can do the same in the morning while letting mom and dad sleep in! The bonus earbuds would generally run almost half the cost of this product. It's a great deal. Bluetooth is trendy, but these do the trick better than many of those headphones.

I recently bought these headphones and they're great for a teenager gift or if you just need headphones. they are a great product for an great price.

I returned this headset because there’s a lot of static and noise from it when I tried to use it, maybe it’s my location that has a lot of interference I’m not sure.

I needed headphones for watching TV in the evenings when others are sleeping. Otherwise I want the TV volume on as usual. This set requires you to remove the audio cables from BEHIND the TV in order to resume normal listening. HUGE hassle! Last night I went to all that trouble and tried to use the head phones again & I got nothing but static. Back to the store!
