Fortunately, the little oven was still under the factory warranty, and I expected it to be replaced, as promised. After following all of the proper procedures, it was found that the microwave was not fixable and as expected, I was told it would be replaced. Getting that replacement was another story. The in-store “help“ I received was appalling, at best. They did not want to replace the microwave, acted as if I was trying to steal something from them, and told me there was no reason that I should expect a new microwave. The email from the headquarters, the voicemails from same, provided to the workers in the store, were meaningless to the local staff. With plenty of attitude and lots of condescension, they refused to replace my microwave. When I told them I would contact the regional office that had promised the replacement, they informed me that they would just be sending me directly back to the store and the store would tell me the same thing. Fortunately, that was not the case. But a lot of apologies, and some intervention on my behalf, I have received my new microwave. The lack of professionalism, And the embarrassing way in which this was handled, made it so that I refuse to come into the store to even pick up my replacement and the department head agreed to have it shipped to me at no charge. There’s no excuse for customers to be treated so poorly.
