Love it and it looks so expensive. I love how it works and it is a decent size

The microwave oven has decent power and is filling a family need until a built-in is located and installed. Got a burnt plastic smell with first use. Called manufacturer and was informed to remove plastic film covering the metal door screen. The burnt plastic smell is less noticeable, but any front directed cooking splatters now get caught between glass and metal screen in the door. (Looked at our old microwave and found it also had metal screen and still has the plastic covering, but never had that smell.) I believe the manufacturer's advice was bogus.

I don’t know whether mine came defective or not and I’d return it if I could (I threw out the box, shame on me), but I can’t keep it plugged in for anytime other than when I’m using it because it omits this horribly high pitched frequency. It’s akin to a dog whistle, and it gave me a headache after the first 30 seconds of having it plugged in. I’d love it otherwise because it’s a perfectly functional microwave, but I physically can’t bear to use it unless I have to due to the sound.

This microwave is terrible. The product was good for 2-3 months, but now makes terribly annoying noises when it’s on. The film that covers the numbers has started to detach/bubble. Already looking to replace it, when the one I had before lasted over 10 years. I’m realizing, in general, Insignia products are poorly made.

Microwave turns on and off by itself, very unsafe. Less than 2 years since purchase.

I've had Insignia less than a year and it began sparking today after I cleaned with mild soap and paper towels. Not first time cleaning it, btw! After Googling why it sparked, learned mica wave guide cover may need replacing, so will try that. Cost less to try that then haul it in to Best Buy. Have to get the coverbfrom somewhere else.

Arrived dented on one side pretty bad. Still works. Felt with everything going on not much to complain about if it’s still heating up my food!

Terrible microwave. Had it for 2 years but it began failing after 6 months. The buttons dont function as in when i press 1 minute on mocrowave it doesnt do anything and has ticking noise when operating. Would not recommend.

Arrived in a destroyed box with no top! How does someone at Best Buy think it’s acceptable to ship this way. I can’t physically pick this up to exchange it to send back besides box is a mess. You should help customers instead of taking their hard earned money. Customer service could not help because they said they do not make up the policies.

Product was purchased for a college dorm. When opened onsite, it was badly dented but functional. Should have opened and checked before taking it to dorm. At least it has a year warranty.

The carousel moves when you remove a plate from microwave. The carousel fell out and cracked in half. I tried to get a new carousel calling best buy and got jerked around. I won't purchase anything with insignia name again.

After 7 months of normal use, the plastic film over the keys is bubbling, wearing off. Quite disgusted. Had a Sharp Carousel for 10 years and never had that problem at all. Should of bought another Sharp. This one is definately made cheap. To get warranty I have to drive 45 miles one way and MAYBE they will get me a replacement. Never again.

Plastic over the start button coming off. Looks like I’ve had it for a long time.

I have had the microwave a little over a month and the plastic on the numbers have already started busting and peeling like I’ve had it for years, planning on returning back to store this week.

The aluminum on the door is starting to peel. It’s only been 1 month.

Came with a dent and now I have to go to the store and return waste of my time. Since it’s your fault why don’t u have an option to come to me to pick up the faulty item? Maybe use some sense by doing some quality checks before shipping them or make sure u handle the item properly when shipping

We bought this to use while building a house. We ended up keeping it and put it in the pantry. It works well and heats evenly. Great for popcorn or to reheat leftovers. Easy to read panel and easy to clean interior. I am sure we will replace it in a couple of years, but it works fine now. Can't beat the value. Quality is good. Quiet unit. Easy to clean. I like the compact design. Not big and bulky like the competition. Perfect for a small to medium kitchen, or where you have limited space.
