Normally, you enter a time like 2 minutes as 2-0-0. If you did that for the kitchen timer and told it to start you would have a 20 minute timer. You have to type 0-2-0-0 on this model. The time cook option would allow you to type 2-0-0 for 2 minutes. It’s just weird enough for me to knock a couple stars off. We use kitchen timers on the microwave regularly, and it really bugs me. I might take it back.

The last one I had only lasted about 5 years. No more Panasonic for me. If this one lasts as long as it should (several more years than that) I'll be pleased.

The digital display is bright enough to act as a nightlight.

You really can't beat it for the money. Here is my one complaint. The door push button is extremely difficult. Maybe it will "break in" with time.
