My purchase was made on 12/12/2021 at a promotional price of $69.99 and purchased with a 4yr warranty. I gave it 4/5 stars because of the l.e.d. which I mention below. As a nice sized 1000w basic microwave, this has everything you need buttons wise. The push button to open the door is fairly easy to open and the door closes easily as well. This is a 1.1 cubit foot microwave and has held some fairly large plates we bought for thanksgiving and Christmas in a 12” diameter. It being 1000w is nice as it reheats up food from the fridge fairly quickly. We haven’t had to go over 3min at all to make our plates hot. It has a decent array of programmed buttons. All buttons are the flat push style buttons that just about every microwave comes with these days that are easy to push with little effort. It’s a clean design inside and out and isn’t loud as it cooks food no matter what setting it is on. There is only one thing I would change about the microwave. That is the l.e.d. for the clock/timer. It is a bright neon blue (Best Buy blue) which is sometimes difficult to see from 10 feet away. I believe it should be a bit more subtle. It’s really just too bright in this particular blue color. I get why it’s that blue (again, BestBuy blue) but it’s actually hindering this display. Other than that, this really is an excellent microwave for what it provides. It does what it’s job well, so far, and seeing as how I got the warranty, I won’t be worrying about if it goes out. I would DEFINITELY recommend this microwave even with the l.e.d. because you simply can’t beat the price value factor for the quality you get!

I would give this microwave a 10/10. Let me break it down for you. Performance: It delivers consistent and even heating. I know we’ve all had that disappointing experience where you hear all that popping sound but when you take the the food out, the middle is still cold. Yuck! Not with this microwave. Everything is hot and ready. Features: let’s face it, sometimes it’s hard to make decisions or maybe you’re just lazy like me. Regardless, the preset cooking options make it easy to heat specific foods with just the touch of a button. I use to not trust the popcorn preset button but on this microwave, it actually works and your popcorn does not get burnt. Design: ok let’s talk about design. I’m not an expert but I’d like to think my taste is pretty good. With that being said, I love the modern design of this microwave and I think it’s fits in well with darker aesthetics. User friendly interface: The control panel is pretty straightforward and the buttons are well labeled. This makes it easy to navigate through the various functions and settings. Build Quality: from my experience, Insignia products are usually durable and this microwave is no exception. Overall, I’d definitely recommend getting this microwave.

So far so good. I have to be a little careful, because I'm moving up from a microwave that was 900w and this is a little more powerful. I burned something that had the instructions to cook 4-6 minutes and I chose 6, which was too much. So it heats pretty quick. I'm still trying to figure the pre-programmed settings for like popcorn, etc., because even though they work, the settings sometimes don't seem long enough.

Great for the price. Heats food quickly. The only thing i don’t really like is that you have to press the button to open the door kind of hard, it other than that, it’s great.

This unit replaced s 3 month old insignia .9 cubic ft. The door opening was defective best buy replaced it with this unit under warranty. It was an upgrade. The new unit us just the right size quiet powerful and does the job. I just hope i dont have the door opening problem again.

The microwave is excellent for our kitchen nice and compact and has the power of a big microwave this is my second microwave exactly the same which I purchased about ten years ago and was still very good i just wanted a black one whoever purchase one they will know what I’m talking about

This unit work perfectly and is great for reheating foods as well as making microwave popcorn and heating drinks.
