LOUD!!!!

Just arrived today and this thing is LOUD!!! Like to the point that I thought something was wrong with it. I've never heard a microwave this loud before! I will say it heated my food up very quickly. It's a nice size and looks well made. I really do want to keep it, but I know I wouldn't use it because of the sound. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this and buying a better one.

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In February 2020, eplaced a Sharp Carousel 1.2 cu. ft., 1100 watt microwave that was 19 years old with the Insignia 1.1 cu. ft., 1000 watt. The Sharp worked fine except the light bulb burned out and thought after 19 years I was due for a new one! The size is perfect! Interior is smaller than the old one and that is what I wanted. Definitely has enough power for what hubby and I use it for, reheating dinner plates, cooking frozen convenience foods, baking potatoes, thawing bread slices and meats, boiling water. Very pleased with this Insignia thduct. Runs alot quieter than the old Sharp! Only negative is the open door "button' is very stiff and hard to open. Would push microwave to the wall trying to open. Put rubber shelf liner under feet but would still move when trying to open, so put a block of wood between the wall and the microwave! No problem opening door now! Highly recommend this Insignia microwave!!

Would buy again.

He moved into a new apartment back in December of 2020 and needed a microwave. This is large enough to go beyond heating up hot dogs or popcorn, looks great on his kitchen counter and he is very pleased with its operation. Pre-programmed keys, rotating turntable and delivers 1000w of cooking power.

It runs perfectly, don't see any reason to think it'll stop working.The dent in the side hasn't affected it at all. Its so easy to clean, thank's Insignia for my non prop 65 beautiful microwave , that's 2 things I've tried and will always look to Insignia for, headphones and microwaves.
