This microwave is less than two years old and I’ve never had one of such poor quality. The interior is falling apart. There are bubbles all in the top of the inside and rust coming through. Along every wall edge along the seams it’s a rusty color. It is clean and still looks disgusting. My last microwave was the range hood style and looked new at 12 years old when I sold that house. I don’t know if it’s the brand or model, but this is the worst quality I’ve ever seen in nearly 40 years of having microwaves. Try another brand.

Got this delivered. What a mistake. Box was torn open and soaking wet. Looked like it had been in a war. Called and they wouldn’t come pick it back up so now I have to take a trip to the store. What a waste of my time.

I bought the Insignia Model NS-MW11BK0 1,000 watt 1.1 cubic foot microwave oven as a Christmas gift for my daughter, who needs simple heating & reheating functions in her apartment kitchen. When I got the item home, I set it up to check its function & encountered the rather loud operating noise mentioned by several previous reviewers. Noticing that there were very few fasteners in the oven outer chassis (with some incompletely installed), I determined the noise was caused by the oven fan inducing vibration in the sheet metal parts. So with about 10 minutes of methodical experimentation, I was able to reduce the noise to acceptable levels by installing two short sheet metal screws in open fastener-sized holes in the rear molded panel (being VERY careful where I screwed them in). With that solved, I was successful in heating a coffee cup of tap water & reheating a 10-1/2 inch diameter round microwavable dinner plate full of leftovers suprisingly quickly. The User Guide booklet (one each in English & Soanish) has easy-to-read instructions with clearly labeled illustrations & maintenance/cleaning/trouble-shooting instructions. So my early verdict: The NS-MW11BK0 microwave oven is an affordable option for quick simple food preparation.

I'm very happy with this microwave. It's just big enough to be considered full size inside. It has worked well without any problems. When I first got it, the hum of the machine was a little louder than my previous one, but now it seems better, or I've just gotten used to it. You need to push firmly with two fingers to get the door to open, and the door makes a large bang when you close it. The light from the clock is quite bright. It's almost like a night light. If you don't like it there is no setting to keep it off permanently, though you can turn it off after each use. Overall, I'm glad I bought it. It was a great bargain for the price I paid. I would recommend it.

Some of the poor reviews that I have read does not do this microwave any good. Some reviews was complaining about how loud the microwave is and how hard it was to open the door using the push button. I’m going to give you my honest review, I don’t have any issues with either one. This microwave is quieter than the one that I’m replacing which is an Emerson microwave that is 12 years old. The push button works fine with me, I just push the button and the door pops open. This microwave is very similar to the one that I’m replacing. Same size, buttons are in the same place. Only difference is that I don’t have to pull a handle to open the door, I just push a button and the door pops open! I believe most of these microwaves are built in the same factory and they just slap a different name on them! I’ve only had the microwave for about a week, and it works great at heating my food. I got it for a great price too! Highly recommended! If anything changes I will edit my review.

We haven't had this for long, but use it daily and have no complaints. It heats well, looks nice, and isn't especially noisy. A good value for the price. It replaced a broken Kenmore that was 7 years old and, oddly, looked identical to this one from the rear, and the turntable and hardware were identical. The face was updated, but functions were the same. The Kenmore output was rated at 1100 watts, but the current draw was identical. The performance seems the same. Not sure who the manufacturer is, but clearly the same one. Hope this one lasts a bit longer.

So far, this microwave has exceeded my expectations. It's large inside and cooks evenly. It's very easy to use. All of the settings are clearly displayed. Only one drawback is that it's a bit noisy when defrosting. Other than that, I am really pleased with this purchase.

I really enjoy this Microwave so far. I bought this Microwave to replace an old Sanyo 1000W 1.4 cu ft Microwave that was working fine but was looking worn on the outside so decided to replace it with this Insignia and so far I enjoy the Insignia a lot by comparison. The Insignia seems to heat up food a little faster. Also, the digital display is brighter and easier to read. The controls are simple and easy to figure out. It's compact and leaves plenty of room on my kitchen counter yet still has enough capacity to hold any of my largest cookware. The only slight negative is the button to open the door is pretty stiff and also closing the door requires a lot of pressure but I guess I'd rather the door be stiff than loose at least it feels solid and not like it's going to wear out over time. So far this Microwave is a winner.

I bought this for my daughter's first apartment, and it is perfect. I was looking for a reasonably priced microwave that was a good size. This checked all the boxes. She and her roommate love it. Says it is easy to use and works great for everything from cooking dinner to making popcorn. Would definitely buy again.

Our old microwave started to spark when in use. We needed a new one. Ordered this one online and it was delivered in 3 days or so. This microwave was the perfect size and it has the features we typically use. I was very happy that I got it on sale. It was significantly less expensive than other microwaves the same size or smaller. Works extremely well. We are happy with our purchase.
