WE GOT THIS FOR OUR SON TO USE IN HIS DORM ROOM, WE CHOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE IT HAS A LITTLE MORE CU FT TO HELP FIT ANYTHING HE WOULD WANT TO HEAT UP QUICKLY.

Good value microwave. Got it on Jan 30, 2020. Was very noisy and returned it. My hunch that it was a lemon. Feb 4, got a new one. Standard noise level. Worked great. Today, it became possessed and word start on its own. When I would try to heat up for just 1 minute, it would stop at 40 seconds. I would hit the start button, it would turn off. What a shame . It lasted 1.5 years. I got it on sale and with several coupons I had accumulated, paid 66$ for it. So if you are looking for a good microwave that will only last you about a year and half- then this is a good buy. Otherwise, I suggest you look for a name brand. Good luck!

This microwave is really great and a lot of my plates fit inside here.

I am on my 3rd one in less than a month. The first one had plastic on the touchpad peeling and bubbling Within 2 weeks of use. The replacement one they sent sounds so loud that it sounds like it’s getting ready to blow up. Customer service wouldn’t send me another replacement and the store won’t answer phones so I am stuck purchasing one and swapping it out since stores around me don’t carry this. I bought this during Black Friday for $50 and so it’s worth trying to get a good one but I surely wouldn’t pay full price for this.

Very nice for the price. unit is a bit loud when running. pre set controls are very accurate for most items and the buttons are easy to use. The one thing that i noticed is the plactic covering on the start button is starting to peel off and i have only had it a month so this is not a very good sign but overall it is just cosmetic as the button still functions as normal

Bought my Insignia 1.1 cu ft Microwave in May 2020. Didn't use as much as my last one, because I bought an electric kettle to boil water. Bought the 2 yr Geek protection plan, thinking a manufacturers 1 yr + 2 extended years would be a good idea. Got up today, the microwave turned itself on! I hit the stop button, still running! I had to unplug it. It has sat in the same spot since I bought it and research says the likely culprit is the Control Panel has failed. Cost to repair? $150-$200 and the unit, sold new, is still under $90. I also found out today that Geek Squad wasn't extra 2 years, it started the day I bought the unit/2 yr warrant. Maybe I don't need a Microwave oven anymore. Truth is I haven't used it in a while and the last time was to heat up chili with hotdogs for the grandkids. Guess I'll just see if my 9-in-1 Ninja Foodie can heat/reheat what I need from now on. At least I'll get a chuck of counterspace back!

It's very difficult to find a good-sized microwave that isn't stainless steel. This fit the bill -- roomy, but not huge on the counter; powerful; feels like it's made well.
