I cannot shut it off. I tried unplugging and plugging back in and it immediately starts running again. Luckily I was home and not working or this could have resulted in a fire. I called insignia and they were not helpful- told me to call geek squad. I will not buy another insignia product. Scary.

So I guess it’s time for a new microwave

The color blends in with all other appliances in my kitchen. The apppearance and features of this Microwave are very user friendly and food processed in this Microwave is vere excellent/tasty. I use this Microwave daily-sometimes more than once and there has been no increase in my electric bill. I highly recommend this Microwave .

Both the original and replacement broke

I'm writting this review now because the replacement has just now malfunctioned in the same way after almost the exact same amount of time as the original. Both turned on and off randomly, and I only found out each time when I was in the same room and saw it happen. Who knows how long it had been happening before I witnessed it. I was told it's unfixable, and something to do with the door. Super dangerous, and the warranty only covers one replacement. Now I'm out of a microwave until I buy a new one. What a waste of time and money. I will not be buying this brand again in the future after this experience.
