This cable was exactly what I needed and at a very good price. I am using it to connect a Zebra label printer to my new desktop computer that does not have a serial port.

This product made it extremely easy to connect my device to the computer for a software upgrade. Very useful and well made for longevity. Definitely would recommend!

Believe it or not, there is an ocean of equipment in the retro world that requires conversion equipment such as this in order to operate. Having the availability and reliability of such a simple device in hand when needed, is like scoring a golden key to access the forgotten realm of connectivity. I applaud the foresight of those who recognize the critical application of merging simple but effective applications to present technology. It beats the heck out of soldering and jumpers. This device worked well for the application. Keep up the good work!

Insignia USB to Serial adapter was just what we needed and Best Buy had several in stock. It worked great and seems to be of good quality.

Works great and as described. Had to replace an older model that we had for years. Glad to get an updated item that did not need a disc to load up before using.

Worked right of the box with Windows 10. I was surprised. A serial port for $20 bucks. Try getting that with an Apple.

Wish it was longer, but it was sufficient enough for what I needed. Good quality cord at a fair price.

This USB to serial cable worked great! No setup and windows recognized it immediately.

I needed the adapter for my Macbook Pro, I run Windows 7 Pro in a Virtual Machine using VMware Fusion. I have noticed that with Parallels and VMware Fusion that when you attach a USB device to you mac and tell your virtual Machine to Capture it for the Guest OS to run it is hit or miss on finding devices that will work properly that way. When I looked on the back of the package it said that this adapter suports OS X and Windows I bought and tried it and it works great.

Needed one of these in a pinch, no one but best buy had one in stock. I'm a HVAC/Chiller technician, mine broke on the job and I needed one to hook my laptop up to a chiller for programming. It did the job. Cable is little short but USB extension work well with it.

Having an urgent need for a USB to RS-232 DB9 adapter, the helpful Best Buy folks quickly found this easy to install and use one at my favorite go-to place for electronics, accessories and so much more. Worked great out of the box on my Win 7 laptop. Connected to USB port and drivers were installed for serial port. Connected to my equipment with not problems.

This is the only one I found that works on Windows 64bit. I bought 2 of them and use them on the same computer to connect to some electronics. Works grate!

Needed an adapter to connect a laptop to a Colorado timing system for a swim meet. Worked quite well, driver installed with no issues on a Windows 8 laptop.

Needed to use for car dyno, worked perfectly. It was not listed as supported model, but this one works flawlessly.

Awesome comptablity and no new for driver discs! Only 1 tiny complaint it is very very short. So you will most likely need a serial cable to extend this which is cheap.

I bought it to connect scientific equipment to computer via virtual com port. Adapter based on pl2303 ic that makes it compatible with windows an linux machines. Personally I used it on both systems. Good price-quallity ratio.
