For Needing an RS-232 DB-9 USB adapter it is great

I have noticed that with Parallels and VMware Fusion that when you attach a USB device to you mac and tell your virtual Machine to Capture it for the Guest OS to run it is hit or miss on finding devices that will work properly that way. When I looked on the back of the package it said that this adapter suports OS X and Windows I bought and tried it and it works great.

I'm a HVAC/Chiller technician, mine broke on the job and I needed one to hook my laptop up to a chiller for programming. It did the job. Cable is little short but USB extension work well with it.

GREAT, EASY TO USE USB TO DB9 ADAPTER

Insignia doesn't have the latest drivers, but you can search "PL2303 RS232 Driver" to hopefully find it on Prolific's site.
