Would have given it a 5-Star rating if it would have had Tx & Rx LED, but that would be a lot to ask for on a low cost unit

In today's computers a serial port isn't included and to overcome this a USB to serial converter is required. Most of these install but are difficult to get working. This adapter installed without issue and was up and being used in less than 2 minutes.

Updated drivers not available on the Insignia website, had find company who manufactured this cable for Insignia and get drivers from their website.

One note: I did have to download the driver software online there was no problem finding the software from the manufacturers web site.

If your computer does not have a serial port and you need one for an old device, this adapter will do the job. Plug it into a USB port and connect the other end to your serial device. It is that easy.
